I can answer about Green Power Premium:
It doesn't have such option like disable notifications. He does such thing like disables data connection for amount of time you chose (for me it is 15min) and then enables data connection for amount of time you choose (for me it is 2min)
Now my Galaxy Note works 2 times longer (from 10h to 20h)

I have been trying both, and while both of them seem to deliver a noticeable reduction in power draw (actually in my case a dramatic reduction), of the two I'd have to give my vote to GreenPower (I'm using the full version). The power reduction is at least as good as Juice Defender Ultimate, and the premium version is significantly cheaper.
Both work by turning various features (mainly Wi-fi/3g/BlueTooth) on and off automatically, but as result can cause delays in things like receiving push-mail and that kind of thing. With Juice-Defender I found this to be quite noticeable, but I'd have to say that with Green-Power I haven't really noticed it slowing down messaging or anything else.......
I've used them both - and deleted them both. I'd rather manage power myself.
i am using 2x Battery for me this is the best. simple and clean.
I usually use JuiceDefender but decided to try out Green Power. I really like it but I have a hard time getting my phone to sleep properly on GP.
i use widgetsoid and just enable my connection when i want it (wifi/3g)
i could never find the proper app that did exactly what i wanted- rather just have control.
going that was and using the phone an average amount my battery goes from 100 -> 75 from the time i wake up (7am) to the time i got to bed (12-1 am)
the 2500mah battery is pretty good!
With JuiceDefender I can get my phone to sleep 95%+ of the time but with GreenPower, my cpu is only sleep 40%+. Can anyone give me tips to get my cpu to sleep more to preserve battery?

Just out of interest, what happens when you browse the web and GreenPower has turned off the Data Connection?
Or you're watching a youtube video and it decides its time to turn off data?
Tried both versions and found green power premium to work better for me. (Price was a good point too.)
However the next day I found that if I left my phone for a while (Around 1 1/2 to 2 hours), the display would not turn on and If I called the phone it would not ring. Only way to fix this was to press the power button for 10 seconds to reset the phone.
Uninstalled green power to see if this was the cause and hasn't happened since.
Was wondering if something similar has happened to other people?
I had to go back to JuiceDefender since I couldn't get my phone to go into deep sleep with GreenPower.
Hi, i went for Green Power. I found it simpler to configure, more focused on the job. Juice Defender has to much possible settings and complexity, this makes it a great tool but might also lead to poor efficiency.
I have never used green power before but im on juice defender. I have experienced auto turn off by the note due to a set cpu settings that govern lower clock to cpu at a certain condition. Due to the big display on note i think lower cpu clock wont do it. Because of that the device turned off itself. Upon failure to operate. Hope this solves your problem
I have tried JuiceDefender but ultimately prefer to do everything manually. Some how I always feel the auto manage apps will have everything off precisely when you need it. I use the SwitchPro widget to quickly enable/disable the various radios from my home screen and it works great.

I have/had the same problem. In the beginning I thought that my launcher would be the cause for this problem, but after I disabled my Green Power Premium it hasn't happend since now.
Juice defender ultimate, the feature of switching 2g 3g on stock ROM alone was worth the price!
After figuring out how to config GreenPower properly, I went back to it.
I used JuiceDefender and thought it was great.... when it worked. However, I used it mostly as a scheduler with about 15% battery saving which I took as the icing on the cake.
I want all connections on during the day (peak) so I can take skype calls, etc.. When I'm home, I just want to periodically check for mails, etc (so have connection enable every 15min) and when I go to bed I don't want to be disturbed by emails, messages, etc but still want phone/sms on in case there is an emergency. And most of all, I didn't want to have to manually do that every day.
Problem was that it never really stuck to the schedules. This was the ultimate version but it was a crack as they never offered the ultimate on a trial. I wanted to evaluate the ultimate and buy if it did the job. So, it might have been a bad crack which caused the problem, but I guess I'll never know as I don't want to risk wasting the money if the schedule problem persists.

Since coming from android I've been a frequent user of apps who lets the phone change it's settings due to specific triggers, like turning silent at night and loud in the morning, turning silent when a certain calendar happening occurs, turning of wifi when leaving home etc.
Is there anything like this for using along with windows phone?

Actually, (some of) this is theoretically possible, but nobody has done it so far. It's also not going to be allowed on the Marketplace; you'd need to use some unofficial APIs.
For example, the DllImport Project already has shown the ability to control the phone's volume. Programmatically muting the phone at a certain time, for example one minute after a meeting is supposed to start, should be pretty easy.
The trick would be to make sure the phone also un-mutes it when the meeting ends. WP7 doesn't (officially) allow third-party software to run continuously in the background, and while you can schedule a time for the software to run, it make no guarantee ot to-the-minute accuracy. There are ways around the official restrictions, but most of them have serious battery-life considerations (although telling the process to sleep for the next 30 minutes * 60 seconds * 1000 miliseconds would probably work without draining battery). Additionally, I'm not sure how much access apps officially have to calendar data, although on interop-unlocked or full-unlocked phones there are varius ways to access that data.
For things other than volume control, like enabling or disabling WiFi (almost completely unneccessary on WP7, the WiFi power management is, if anything, too conservative already) you'd need to find the place in the OS that controls it. Probably just sending SetDevicePower to the Wifi driver would work to disable it, though I don't know if that would show up correctly in the UI.
I remember some custom ROMs allows us to adjust the strength of vibration especially when we receive notifications.
Is there any way to do this for our JB stock ROMs?

The only way I know how is a third party app like LightFlow. This option might not be available in the 'lite' version, I can't remember...
I doubt that you can change the strength, just the duration. The phone vibrates by spinning a motor with an off balance weight attached to it. Unless there are two motors with different weights (never seen a phone with more than one,) you can't change how hard the phone vibrates.
Why not use a program like Tasker or Locale to turn off vibrate after you go to bed? You can get very granular with it, for example you can set it to silence SMS notifications when you're at home between certain hours on certain days of the week.

Couldn't tweaking voltage applied to vibrator make it spin faster or slower wich would in turn change vibration strength? Just a thought (which would probably require a change in the kernel)
There are a few things I don't care for in my new SG5. Hoping someone could help:
- Default applications won't stick. For instance I have several different applications that could open to make a phone call (Phone, Talkatone, skype, etc). It doesn't matter which one I select they always pop up for me to select again.
- When battery level is down (I think around 10%) it automatically turns down the brightness level (wayyyyy down. I can barely see it) and disables the brightness control in notification bar. It also disables camera altogether (not just flash). I would like to be able to decide what I want to use those last minutes of juice for. Maybe instead of my phone extending the battery so I can make a call I would like to use that juice to take an important picture. In the past I've only seen the flash disabled, now it's the ability to use the camera altogether.
- Is there anyway to get rid of the quick connect and S finder buttons on the pulldown notification bar?...and while at it is there a way to get rid of the toggles altogether or at least make them way smaller. I like a clean notification bar. To me this is just clutter.
- The ultra power saving mode is cool, but I wish you could make it so it automatically goes into that mode under certain conditions (i.e. when the screen is turned off or when the battery falls below a certain threshold). In addition I wish I could pick what apps I could use under this mode not just the ones that came pre-defined with the phone. I understand that obviously that may affect how long the battery would last given that any app could consume a lot more power than the pre-defined ones.
I know (hope) over time as ROMs start to appear all of these "wishlist" features will be made available, but was wondering whether there are already ways to do this.

It makes no sense for the phone to go into ultra power saving mode when u put the screen to sleep
You wouldnt be able to use it right away
You would have to wait the 10 seconds for it to come out of ultra ps mode every time u feel like checking fb
But auto turning on after a certain percent would be nice

yes, this is VERY annoying
and what is even more annoying is it gives you a stupid reminder on how to reset setting that app as a default every time...its just 1 more extra button to press all the time
1- I couldn't figure out how to see the screen on time as after unplugging the phone. The Android 10 insists on showing daily screen time but I don't think it's relevant info regarding SoT.
2- There is a problem with sounds. I'm using Bixby routines and when I'm at work I adjusted the profile to make the phone silent. However, when I leave work and when the profile turns the sound on, the recent sound levels seem to gone and I have to adjust ringer and notification sounds manually. There is no a static level for sounds could be chosen whatsoever.
3- The last problem is about screen recorder. When screen recorder is on there isn't an option to hide notifications but there must be an option about this.

For the first one, I highly recommend AccuBattery app. It shows detailed charging/discharge statistics, as well as the battery health.
I couldn't understand why Samsung didn't add something like "Battery usage since last full charge" though.

I'm using GSam pro for this since Samsung's own app messed up with daily indicator crap.
