Where can I download the Asus App Backup Program that came Preinstalled on the TF700t ? I searched on the Play Store and found an App called Asus App Backup but it said it was not compatible so I manually installed the apk and it installed but was not able to restore any of my Apps. Titanium backup did not backup the data of the one App I needed to have all it's data backed up and restored, only the App Backup Program that came Preinstalled on the TF700t was able to backup all my App Data and successfully restore in JB but I want to use KatKiss Marshmallow and not loose all the data and settings on my Apps or have to re download all the GBs of Data..
Thanks
Need backup app

Okay so i have multiple games or had multiple games that require to be backed up and installed new roms and factory reset etc.. Is there a way to save data such as login information stored for netflex or simple savedata on angry birds or ckzombies? (prefer not to use titanium backup because for some reason it wont find root).

You should be able to do a nandroid backup for this , go to CWM and go to backup and restore , advance , choose how you want to backup and proceed from there (you should be able to backup data only)
I have been using titanium backup so I haven't tried "my backup root" but it would be my next option I think they pretty much do the same thing, I know it at least backs up the data with the apps unlike other "backup apps. Also I wanted to mention if you do just go the nandroid way there's an app called nandroid browser that works good. You can restore individual apps with it instead of having to restore the whole nandroid backup image, it actually opens up the image & you can browse all of the files on it & restore what you want. I haven't tried it on my tablet yet but it ended up working on my phone it just took a while the first time or two when I started it I didn't think it was gonna work but I got patient & realized it worked.
Here are the links if you want to check them out-

Thank you ill give it a try i didnt see any type of nandroid backup in the recovery(unless your talking bout a regular standard backup in recovery? Id like to do a backup to restore all the system apps and data it was before backing up).... Will the backup also backup how my desktop is arrnged i just never grasped what system data collects besides the data from some apps
Edit: recovery didnt give me any type of option to just backup data....

Hi,
I had to sent my tablet for repair and thu I had wiped it after making backups using Titanium (and also some copies of files on internal sdcard)
(I used to have android 4.0.1 (I think) and now it came back with 4.2.1 and I rooted it using motochopper).
I used Titanium standard version (not pro yet) to make backup of all apps and data and of some system data. I tried to make some restore before enabling the google account as advised in a tutorial found on this site (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1480343).
When I tried to restore (data only) Wifi access points, it did work, but for bluetooth pairings (data only), it apparently not recovered my pairings (at least the tablet did not automatically recognized my phone, for instance, while they were paired before the backup)..
Also, I tried to restore (app+data) File Manager HD and (data+app) Box, but I lost all favorites defined in File Manager HD and Box apparently lost my login... Is it normal ?
When doing the backup, I had taken care of backuping "app+data". I had also make a manual copy of files in my internal sdcard, but I guess that should not be useful to restore app/data using Titanium ? Or should I also copy back to internal all those files before using the titanium restore tool ?

The file system on 4.2 is quite different from earlier versions. That may explain why some of the restore options don't work. If you know where File Manager HD stored your favorites and preferences, look for the corresponding folder after you installed it and copy those manually.
Usually a restore with TiBu will work but the changed file system probably messes it up.

Aïe!.. Does it mean that restoring apps/data from my backup on 4.0.1 could be dangerous ? meaning facing restoring files into locations not fully compatible with 4.2.1 ?.. with the risk of messing up the whole tablet ?

As long as you are not messing with system files - no, it's not dangerous.
I am not sure how TiBu handles the restore process. What I did when moving to 4.2 was to copy the entire /data diretory to an external card and copying it back after the update. I did not restore apps with TiBu, re-installed everything from scratch (good opportunity to do some "house cleaning").
I have been using TiBu since then many times when flashing roms and without issues.

Hi guys, I recently just flashed CM 12.1 w/ Android 5.1.1 on my Zenfone 2.
Before doing that, I backed up my apps+data using Titanium Backup. After flashing, I transferred back the Titanium Backup folder in the internal storage where it originally was. I then re-installed Titanium Backup. Unfortunately, there's 0 apps that can be restored according to Titanium Backup. I even checked the Storage location and it even showed my backups.
Help ASAP. TIA
Install the apps before backup. It might work.

Nevermind, just found out that my backups were corrupted. Anyways, is there anyway to restore the data of the apps instead? I dont mind re-downloading the apps again as long as I can get my data back
In the titanium backup.
One off the two zips will have you apk inside. Just open the zip and install the apk

Hi there...how did you solve the problem?
I also have the same problem...I backed everything up then flashed cyanogenmod Marshmallow 6.0.1 then after flash copied all the backup folder back to internal memory so it can be seen by Titanium backup app and still doesn't work...it doesn't see anything...although it sees the location and the files under titanium backup/preferences/Backup Settings...Backup Folder Location..but in the app I cannot see any of the apps I backed up...how can I solve the problem..please help me
i think titanium needs to be updated to the latest version. the older version somehow doesn't work and don't see the backups properly (on my stock z3c pre rooted rom). after I installed the latest version, it worked like a charm
WARNING: Titanium doesn't backup the media folder for Whatsapp nor Wechat. backup the media that you want manually before flashing. the chatlogs are backed up properly

Hi Everyone
Sorry for digging up an old topic but I have a very similar situation and almost got gray hair already
Did anyone found a solution to the issue from opening post ?
Here's what I have done (and already regret it
- I was on stock 5.1.1 android for xperia z1 compact D5503
- I have installed Kingroot to remove some bloatware applications through titanium backup.
- Then I have made a backup of all applications of my interest (sms/mms, k9-mail etc.) and copied that to a folder on external sd card.
- Then I came over idea of Pre-rooted stock roms. Performed that (downgrade to 4.4.4, root, dual recovery, instal pre-rooted rom from zip).
- Installed TiBackup, copied all backups from sd to internal memory.
- Opened TiBackup - mind blown - no apps with backups.. In Preferences - Folder backups are shown.
Any ideas? Corrupted backups? That would make me very sad
Any help much appreciated.

OK,
I have solved the riddle. So easy and obvious that I didn't notice.
When I was doing all the stuff from the post above I was using sd card reader.
So to be on the safe side - i have copied all SD card content to win10 PC.
Then when I thought I was ready - copied all to 1 folder "Stuff" and then to SD card.
What I have missed was that during that process file extensions were changed. So all *.properties were now *.properties.txt and all *.bzip were *.bzip.zip and so on.
So my problem is solved. Perhaps someone else could use it too.
Best regards
ky0q
thanks a lot .. that solve my problem
Yeh, SD card to the rescue!
Hii guys .. I have been using titanium backup from a long time. But from sometime it doesn't seem to be working that good for me. I backed up my apps and data .. Then isntalled a custom rom (bliss pop) i restored the backup (app+data) and although all apps got restored, the data was gone. I lost atleast 8-10 gb of data because i had a lot of heavy games. Do i have any means to recover that data? If not is there any other alternative backup app than titanium backup? For future preference. Otherwise i won9be able to change roms or return to stock.
anyone ?
Hmm..titanium backup is supposed to be the best backup app, dunno why that happened to you.
Anyway, you can also try helium. Its free. I've never personally tried it but ive heard that it works all well as TB and it has a sync feature so u don't need to manually backup all the time when u have some thing new in an app..
Try helium backup. Used to use it when my phone wasnt rooted. Obviously not as good as titanium backup.
Search for Backup+ on xda. An awesome alternative to Titanium backup. Trust me, you'll love it.
TiBu doesn't backup large game data files unless explicitly set in the options. By default it will only back them up if it's under 32MB (See Backup app external data & Select external data by max size)
I use my backup. It's an awesome app. While I was using tb, I switched to it. It's free for a month, so you can try it.

You can do manual backups of heavy games.
1.try backup on apk of the game using app backup and restore app from the play store and backup the apk.
2.most of the heavy games data are stored in Android -> obb.. So keep a backup of obb on the system or phone by just copying it to another folder.
3. After installing a new rom. Place the obb in the android folder and then install back the app from the app app backup and restore.

I was asking earlier about how to make a list of all the apps I have installed, so that when I root my Note 4 (which involves wiping the phone), I can go through the list and easily remember which apps I should reinstall. But someone suggested just using a backup app like Helium, and then restoring them once I root my Note 4.
Will that actually work? Can I just use a backup app like Helium or Titanium or MyBackup, backup all my installed apps and their user data, then root/wipe the phone, reinstall said backup app, and I'll be able to restore all the apps I have installed, and they'll just work?
And if so, does it include things like user data for each app like configuration options and locally stored saved games? Can I go through the list and only restore the apps that I really want, unchecking all the ones I don't want reinstalled?
