Unsupported ... BBC iPlayer offline mode

I really liked the new offline mode in iPlayer for galaxy s4 but I don't seem possible for Nexus 5...
Unless anyone knows a way of downloading from iPlayer? Or hacking the apk for it to work on nexus 5?

Same here. I would love to have offline mode for nexus 5.

Facebook sync

Are there any Roms that have added the ability to sync facebook contacts yet? I know after a while there were a few for the gnex and nexus 4, but in my quick look around the Roms that usually had it, I saw no mention.
Thanks in advance!
PS, I use Haxsync and it's fine minus being able to bring phone numbers over from FB.

Try this as well if you'd rather stay on your current rom

[Q] Feature Similar to Samsung Galaxy S5 Download Booster

The S5 seemed relatively unimpressive, however the download booster feature seems interesting where it uses lte and wifi for data. I was curious as to whether someone could port that over to the Nexus 5 or create their own implementation.
P0rn download b00ster. Moar plox google
Anyways I think it's hardware

I think it is implemented in software. There is a demo for using both LTE and WiFi on Galaxy S2 on YouTube already. (Search for "Energy-efficient multi-link video streaming on smartphones")
This would be REALLY nice feature to have. I actually might root for it!
Im pretty sure that it is software related, because I remember reading about an app for android that does this for you, but for the life of me can't remember the name of the app.

oh i am going to test
Any feedback? 4/5 stars on the Play Store from a N5 user.
Unfortunately I have no WiFi connection to test...
My LTE connection blows away my home Wi-Fi connection.... I don't see how I could benefit from a booster. I would think it would utilize bandwidth from my cellular data connection and not touch my Wi-Fi. Just another gimmick to pay twice as much as you need for a device imho.

Android 4.4.2

Have a nexus 5 Sony watch wouldn't stay connected...after a phone call to tech support sony does not support anything above 4.3...why BC no sony phones are above 4.3 at the moment....
She said there is an update coming out but didn't know when or even if it would fix the problems....
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I'm using it with my S3 running omnirom, which is at 4.4.2 so it's not that. There is an update coming but I doubt it would help you in itself. Mine disconnects from time to time, I've found the quickest way to reconnect is to turn Bluetooth off on the watch and back on again, it generally pairs straight away. Hopefully that will be fixed in the new version.

This is just what she said. Mine wouldn't reconnect.... To annoying

I'm running a Nexus 5 and had my SW 2 since December, never had issues with connection, aside from once with a botched custom Kernel. If you're not running stock, try running that, other than that I suggest faulty hardware on the watch's part

My SW2 and Nexus 5 work great together, no connection issues. I've had this combo for 2-3 months now.
Same setup here. Nexus 5 and Android 4.4.2, everything is working great. Have you tried resetting the watch to stock?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Tried 2 different watched.. Bluetooth works fine.. Use Bluetooth headphones to work out with and those never get disconnected.
Reset the watch multiple times.. Would work and then lose connection even though the app still shows connected.. The apps would not communicate with my phone
She did say they were getting a lot of complaints about my issue as well.

^Same here... Sony SW2 with Nexus 5 (4.4.2) and haven't had any issues with bluetooth connectivity. As others mentioned, resetting the watch or unpair and re-pairing would be the first things I would try.
Best of luck... let us know how it goes.
Done that. I should say that I got a pebble and have 0 issues.. Don't know why it was not working,, tried 2 different ones from 2 different stores.. Bc of that sony refused to even send me another.. They pretty much forced me to return it

Try again? Some Sony phones were updated to 4.4.2 today.

no problems with my Butterfly S either, just recently got 4.4.2
i did read about wifi disconnects but i guess that's unrelated

So after flashing a new rom you just open gear manager, it scans finds and connects? I wonder why mine isnt. I have turned Bluetooth on and off from the watch...any idea?

Hmm. Yeah thats exactly what i did. Once rom was set up, turned on the gear and opened gear manager. it connected through bluetooth and did the light reset and was done.
Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
Maybe I didn't word it well. I was stating the light reset I'm trying to avoid. After doing your required to re-download apps. Thanks for your help man.
Sent from my SM-N920T using XDA-Developers mobile app
You have to do a light reset. Thats for every time you flash.
