Hello, how can I rename a thread within the new forums. I used to only have to double click on the title but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
Thank you
Never mind, figured it out, you now have to edit the post and then click the "Go Advanced" button. You can then edit the title.
Thank you

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 SGH-I337 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you.
Good luck!
Can you forward my request to that area?

Simply start a thread in the suggested S4 Forum, making sure you provide all relevant information such as which specific ROM, which recovery, what backups you have, etc. so that others will be able to respond and best help you.

[Completed] Batch rename .APK files according to Package Name

Hi!
I have 49 APK files in a folder on my PC. The files have more or less meaningful names, depending on the website they were downloaded from. My question is:
Is there a Windows software capable to batch extract the original name and version of the package and rename the files accordingly?
Something like this: <package_name>_v<package_version>

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
IWe cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist. This site deals with mobile devices, mostly Adnroid, and would not be a good place to seek advice on Windows software. You could try asking in our general off-topic forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/off-topic but you'd have much better chances of getting useful answers from a Windows-specifc site, sorry.
Good luck!

Hi Bunkers
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
XML files are basically plain text files with special internal format, any editor should do.
On Windows, I shall suggest you Notepad++.
On Linux, Sublime will accomplish much.
On Android, you should pick an App from Play Store, there are many and it would be a personal choice.

In general, is not considered polite being demanding. Depending upon whom it reaches, you may raise a conflict. Be careful.
Nice regards and good luck.

Hi Bunkers
Thank you for using XDA Assist
No. by just editing XMLs no. They only contain the parameters necessary to its app to function properly. They contain data only no the app logic.
To develop apps you will have to learn a programming language.
A good point to start you learning process is at
XDA-University - Helping You Learn Android Development
If any further questions remains, our experts at the below forum should be able to help you. Please be welcome to post over in there.
