Hey people,
I have a big problem and I am a big noob what contains to software, hardware is my thing.
Lets get straight to the point......
I have rooted my device(Kingzone K2) with Kingroot on Android lolipop 5.1.
the first time i tried to root it would not work because my phone had a unknown version of android or something like that, so i reported that to kingroot and a month later they made it possible to root on my device.
now I have rooted my device but I started up my phone and all of a sudden my phone was reset to factory setting.
I thought it would have been a accident with android devicemanager.
And up following I wanted to download apps and stuff but it gave me the error that Android.procces.media was stopped.
And the apps wont download I tried everything to download them, also camera and gallery wont work for the same reason.
So can someone please help me with this problem.......
Thanks.

Hi XDA developers I am scratching my head over this one stupid mistake I made because of my habit of fiddling with my new phones. I have a Huawei Ascend g-630 U-10 I recently rooted it by an application called Root genius It went Ok but maybe some file got corrupted down the line and now it's stuck on the boot loop now my phone comes with a fixed battery so i can't take out the battery and try that so i did a hard reset which was of no use then i downloaded some stock roms so that i could flash them but now it seems that OTA updates are not possible on my phone because of the root now i think the only logical solution seems to unroot the phone and then flash it with a custom rom but HOW??? How to un-root it?
I am very frustrated because of this plz help

HI, i need your help please.. I installed about a month ago Lollipop on my Xperia S by some YouTube tutorial. There was a link for root package, but i forgot to install it before installing Lollipop, and now i cant get to CWM recovery, i tried (almost?) everything, so i cant install the rar, and one-click root sw/kingo root doesnt work for me ..
If i flash recovery again, will i lost my data/OS or something? I dont want to install etc. everything again so please, let me know how to deal with this. Also i turned off the "ambient thing", but its still pretty sensitive - it keeps unlocking itself when I put in on my bike or just when im trying to clean it which never happened to me before.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Sony Xperia S at http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you.
Good luck!

First of all, I'd like to say that I know very little about how Android, electronics or mobile phones work in general, so everything I've done has been from internet tutorials. Please don't use any jargon as I probably won't know what you mean. ELI5.
A few days ago, I tried to root my phone and it didn't work. As a result the phone went into a boot loop and I didn't know how to fix it. The long and short of it was that I ended up flashing the stock firmware onto my phone and basically doing a complete factory reset. After some time trying this I managed to get the phone to start up and I was able to access the interface and all that. Unfortunately, my WiFi wasn't working (the button would simply turn off whenever I turned it on) so I had no way to download the most recent updates or apps or anything like that. After following several tutorials on how to fix this, such as flashing the modems and bootloader, I still wasn't having any luck. So I tried something that proved to cause even more problems - I tried to install a new kernel. Now my phone won't even boot past the logo. I probably didn't install the right one, but what can I say, it's not very clear which one I need.
Now I'd like to point out that as a layman who just wants his phone to work again, half of the time I don't understand what I'm doing or whether or not I'm doing it right. In other words, I realise that I've probably messed up my phone, but what can I do? I can't take it to a technician because I don't have the money for that, I can't buy a new phone for the same reason and I can't phone up and ask for a replacement because the warranty expired ages ago and I don't have the original documents here.
I've installed the Team Win Recovery Project on my phone and I have Odin installed on my PC as well.
TLDR; yes, I know I'm an idiot and I don't appreciate you telling me. I'd like to reset my phone to how it was before - the normal firmware, the normal kernel and all that, but I'd still like to have root access and keep the TWRP recovery mode too.
Model: Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505
Model name: GALAXY S4 LTE
Country: UK
Version: Android 5.0.1
You'll probably need more information, so if you do just let me know and, if possible, where I can find it.
I have some good news. I managed to flash the firmware again and now I can access the phone again. However, the WiFi problem persists. I've tried looking on the internet for a solution, but I can't find one. I've tried flashing the modem and all that stuff, but it still doesn't work.
Oh, and by the way, I no longer have TWRP and I don't think I have root access anymore either (I had to do a data partition wipe as well).
I'd really appreciate a reply from someone. I've tried everything, but to no avail.

Hi engloa,
It's OK, I've fixed the problem now; I installed a different ROM and now it works fine. Thanks anyway though.
Hi people,
Since i found no other related topic after searching for 2 days ive've started a new one.
Since a couple of days i'm desperate to get any help!
My kid was playing on my phone a coupe of days ago (huawei g630 running android 4.3 jellybean) when suddenly he downloaded some app with a virus (not from play store)
Immediately after downloading the app my phone started to do all kinds of crazy stuff: downloading apps without my permission, changing settings, turns phone on and off..
the apps he downloaded where porn apps, anti-virus apps, games and a lot off stupid pop ups and other stuff..
The apps where not just some apps.. as soon as they were downloaded they became systemapps and i couldnt delete them..
I tried almost everything to delete those app but i keep getting the notification i can't delete systemapps..
So as i was desperate to get my phone back to normal i searched the web and found stuff about rooting for deleting systemapps and stuff and getting another firmware/rom or installing my original firmware back after deleting the root..
I rooted my phone with Kingoroot and everything went well, i could delete those stupid apps but i think i deleted something important because my phone turned off and now is stuck in bootload..
He keeps getting on and off en loads the huawei logo but that's about it..
i can get it into recovery mode and download mode but i can't download any firmware/rom
(i keep getting the notification that my phone is rooted so i can't do ota update, i tried some custom roms but i keep getting the same notification)
it says i need original huawei g630-u20 firmware but if i try with it i keep getting the same message (firmware downloaded from huawei website)
I tried everything you could try in recovery mode::
reboot system now: still not starting up
Apply updat from sd : tried several roms, nothing works
wipe data/factory reset : doesn't do anything
wipe cache partition : nope..still nothing
Apply data from ADB : Pc won't detect phone..
So think he's bricked..
I tried so many different programs via pc, tried about 15 different roms/firmwares..
Can anyone help me please?
i don't have money for another phone and really.. i'm not so good with the android/rom/root stuff at all!!
I'm sorry if i wrote some mistakes, my mother language is not english..
Thanks in advance!!
Greetings

Hi XDA Community!
I can find information to about almost single topic, but the big problem is, i dont know where exactly to start with and the correct order of all of these steps.
What i wanna do is, like on a pc, format the whole phone, delete everything and set up a custom rom and root the phone.
My first step was trying to root it because i dont know if the root is related to the OS or to the phone kernel.....
I tried the CF-Autoroot procedure from XDA-Forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219803 but i experience the same issue as many other users. When i click start the process starts, but gets stuck immediately when it comes to the imaging step. Then i get no response from my phone or Odin anymore, the bar wont process for hours.
I tried different USB ports, same result. But i can exchange data from phone OS to pc via USB without problems !
So im kind of thrown back now and i dont know what to do or where to start. Can anyone help me ?
5 Years ago i cooked a rom for my Sony Xperia X1 and put it on my phone without any problems lol, and now with Samsung i get only problems.....
