Hello, i own a T989 Samsung galaxy s2 and a Samsung Captivate i897 i have tried both Odin 1.8.5 (preferred) and odin 3.0.9 and my T989 is not recognizable by both of them, however on 1.8.5 my Captivate is recognized, i have the usb drivers installed. also this might be a problem that has to do with it, whenever i plug one of my phones (have not tried usb storage) i loose internet connection, i have a wireless stick plugged in and i read somewhere that its taking up too much power so the other Usb slots dont work? any help?

Recovery mode ???
hello friends I have a problem with my samsung tab 2 SGH - i497 when trying to install a custom recovery through the application Install TWRP , now my tab will not start, or load, nor can enter into recovery mode or download mode , please ayudenme I can do to fix it .
Hello,
If your device will not charge, will not boot to any of its modes, has no LED when connected to charger or PC, does not vibrate when power is pressed, will not connect to PC or is not recognized by PC, then unfortunately the device is probably hard bricked and is dead.
There is a chance that a Samsung USB Jig will help you boot it to download mode, they can be found on eBay for $3-5 US. If you get a Jig, insert it in the microUSB port on the device, if it works, it will force the device into download mode and you can then connect to PC and flash your stock firmware or possibly only the stock recovery to replace the custom recovery that bricked your device to recover the device if you are lucky. There may or may not be some other steps required after getting the device recovered to get it correctly repaired, or you might get lucky.
If that doesn't work, then your only other option is to send it in for JTAG service at the repair shop of your choice, you can find them with a Google Search.
Your device probably has a locked bootloader, as do most Samsung devices in the past 2-3 years. Attempting to flash these devices with locked bootloaders with anything other than the devices' current stock firmware or newer results in a permanently bricked device, some can be recovered but not in all cases.
In the future, regardless of how familiar you are with android and flashing, always familiarize yourself with these kinds of details about your specific model number before you do anything to your device. Good luck.
hello friend thanks for replying, I'll try what you tell me usb jig to force download mode, but the problem will be the entry is different from a normal samsung, it is wider, similar to an iPhone...

Try something like this along with the USB jig.
Samsung Tab USB adapter
Connect the adapter to your Tab then connect the USB jig to the adapter. If the jig is going to help you that will work.
Hello. As the Title suggests, it is exactly my problem.
I have done quite a lot of research, and I have been able to find similar issues, but not the exact problem.
I tried installing an external source .apk and it resulted in crashing my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. Now the phone would simply restart and is forever stuck on the bootloop.
Now, the things that are working with the phone are:
Enter the Download (Odin) Mode (Volume Down + Home+ Power Button)
Things that are not working are:
- Unable to enter the Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Home + Power Button)
- Connecting to the PC, does not trigger any changes in both the PC and the phone. (There is nothing wrong with the USB drivers. I have installed the latest Samsung USB Drivers and tried connecting a different Samsung phone and it was detected on the PC as well as ODIN)
- As it is not detected in PC, the phone is not being detected in ODIN. The phone is connected in Download (ODIN) mode.
I don't know what to do at this point. Can someone please suggest some ways to fix this? Thank you so much!
Hi Guys,
My colleague bring me her daughter' tab. This tab wasn't be used for few months and now they can't start it.
After charge on 100% I can't start this tab, too. Time to time I see splash screen w Samsung TAB logo and battery charging screen.
I boot tab into Odin mode but I PCs where I try to connect this tab can't recognize Tab. I installed drivers for samsung devices and after that I tried install last KIES. Both w/o any progress.
There isn't recovery only Odin mode. Tab has stock ROM, never be rooted and probably locked USB debugging.
Do you have any idea what I may to do? Is there anyway how to bring it to life w/o PC?
Thank you
