PhoneJoy Gamepad - Xperia Z5 Accessories

Anybody have a PhoneJoy gamepad controller and has tried with Z5? Hows the experience like? I am thinking of getting one to run emulator games. I am already using a Nyko Smart Clip together with my DualShock 4 controller but I don't like the style of it because it feels like a DS and it doesn't feel natural. I want something like a PSP.
Tldr: what's your view on PhoneJoy Gamepad. Anybody tried on Z5? Or Xperia like phones of similar sizes?

DIY
The wiimote is really the most painless option. Only trouble is that the handset and the controller are seperate. Thats easily fixed with some bolts (see frankenmote.jpg) and a pice of Acrillic with some rubber bands /see wiimote_n1.png).
I recommend a Drill press for drilling through the Wiimote. That way the holes go nice and straight through.
I guess in a pinch one could use nails or maybe some long woodscrews instead of bolts.

The nunchucks are now compatible too, it looks so beautifully in Super Mario Advance.
I just prop the phone against something and I get in a comfortable position. Then it's game on! I was very surprised at how responsive and reliable it is.
Would this work for other phones? X10?

My god I totally forgot about the Wii Classic control, this would be so much better then the regular Wii controller IMO!
Wii Classic Controller is the BOMB
I use this program with my nexus one and a Nyko Wiimote, and a classic controller pro. It is the best damn set up I have ever gamed with. The only controller I could see doing a better job is the dualshock 2.
So to sum up;
Off Brand WiiMotes do work (used at GS w/EDGE card is cheap)
Classic controllers are the most nostalgic and perfect way to play your old SNES games. Can't wait for Joystick control, and maybe some PS emulation!
Hi, I'm the developer of the WiimoteController.
Read the first 3 posts in my thread. You'll learn alot about what is supported and where.

Bluetooth and USB gamepad support and options for FPSE and other emulators

My main goal here is to have 2-4 dual shock style controllers to use with FPSE and the yongzh nesoid, snesoid and the other "oid" emulators to play wirelessly and via HDMI out
I currently have the Datel Wii retro classic which is nice because bluetooth is built in and it works with the Wiimote controller APP for the other emulators, however its not supported in FPSE and finding a 2nd controller is difficult.
the MSI BGP100 doesnt have analog controls and Zeemote doesn't seem ideal for PlayStation emulation.
Icontrolpad seems really nice. but not for over $100 shipped to the US for just 1. and it doesn't seem like its ideal for playing on a TV and much to expensive for additional controllers
PS3 bluetooth support would be the most ideal but it hasn't seem to have happened on android yet. though it has for linux and windows and i believe windows mobile. there once was someone working on this but i cant find the thread. does anyone know what happened or what we can do to help this along?
the final option is USB hosting gamepad support. Ive seen this working with a PS3 dual shock controller on a zoom and other tablets so it seems reasonable that it could work on the G2X.
has anyone got gamepad USB hosting working with CM7? it would be great if you could use a USB hub and connect 1-4 controllers for PS1 and games like mario cart ect
even better if USB support does indeed work you could have a USB hub and 2 wireless 2.4 controllers for a portable game console...though still not as ideal as PS3 bluetooth
If the 2x supports the HID bluetooth profile, then the Phonejoy will work - heres my demo with the HTC Sensation (forward to 3:30):
More info here including stuff on the new Phonejoy version with analog sticks!
PhoneJoy will work, Im still waiting for the first version of the analog sticks to become available. Not as Ideal as a legit BlueTooth PS3 but the next best thing
The dual stick version is worth waiting for, I have one (proto sent for review), there is an SGSII demo video in the link I provided beneath that youtube video.
I saw the vid of the analog pads and they look pretty good. The analog sticks arent as accurate as I would like.In golden Eye for N64 it looked hard to get an accurate shot.Im definitely in for 2 analog pads when they are ready But Ill probably eventually go with the PS3 via bluetooth if that ever gets working

That's because the emulator isn't coded to accept a true analog signal from the gamepad, although the makers of the Phonejoy say that it is capable of that. Its particularly noticeable in Goldeneye because that game relies heavily on the pressure sensitive N64 analog stick for aiming.
I guess that even if the PS3 does work at some point, the emulator would still need to be coded to work with full analog input from the sticks.

[Q] Wireless Gamepads for Android

I was wondering what is the best gamepad for android out there?
I understand that the Wiimote is supported, but I do not want to buy a wii mote then a classic controller, just seems like a hassle to carry around.
Datel Retro Wireless controller seems like the perfect solution, but for some reason the product is discontinued and no one is selling it. I have tried amazon, ebay, newegg, tigerdirect, and even the company website and none seem to have it left in stock.
So I was wondering, what gamepads are out there that work with android?
edit:: looked at nyoko's wing which still needs you to have a wiimote, as well as bgp100 which looks like the best option so far, perhaps if its modded might be a worth while replacement.
I'd love to know this too!
I found an interesting mod that turns an snes into a wireless controller. The only problem is it also has a receiver and I am unsure if it works with android.
Google ppl-pilot Snes hack since I can't post links yet.
I wonder if the receiver is needed in the case of android.

Transformer gamepad that emulates genesis

I already have the datel retro wireless controller which works great for games that have similar controller layouts as the SNES but I would like to get a USB controller that will have a similar layout to the Genesis or Saturn with the three buttons next to each either. Any help in finding a good controller would work for me. I even have some original genesis controllers so if there is a good USB to DB9 adapter out there for the genesis that works with the transformer I would be happy about that.
Also if anyone has any recommendations for an N64 like adapter that works with the transformer I'm all ears. Thanks everyone.

genesis adapters exist but they are rare
The Retrolink Saturn controllers work fine when plugged into the dock.

The button and d-pad quality is really poor, though. If you have an original Saturn controller lying around, you can take it apart and switch the PCB with the one in the USB controller, making for a very nice authentic feeling USB controller.
Thanks both of you for the replies. Have you personally had success using the N64 adapter with the transformer or know anyone who has? I read a lot on the Saturn piece swapping and it looks fairly easy. Thanks.

[Q] Moga or PS3 controller?

I've been playing a lot of the bigger games recently and I really need an actual controller for my Nexus 7 before i can really get into mobile gaming. I'm wondering if i should go for an expensive Moga controller and pay about 70 euro for a controller that i know will work and will function great, or should i pay about 2-5 euro to try out some of the PS3 controller drivers on the Play store right now. I'd prefer a Ps3 controller as i'm way more accustomed to them, but Moga looks like it is THE controller for android and mobile devices, so i'm kinda wondering should i spend a lot of money for something i know will work, or a little bit of money for something that may not work too well?
I want to hear about people with previous experiences with Moga or Play store controller drivers.
