I'm not rooted the device is locked with a password
I just have a way to bypass the password with a custom recovery mode but the thing is if I will flash now TWRP or CWM
I will have to unlock the bootloader and I don't want to do it ,
so what I want to do is just to flash somehow the recovery mode without unlocking the bootloader
and also there is anyway to check the android version ?

Well, if you only want to bypass password you don't need to root or unlock your bootloader. Try to perform software repair via xperia companion. It should reset your phone by reinstalling software and wiping data.

Hmm, the only way to flash custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader is to downgrade to Kitkat, get root and install recovery, but the problem is downgrading requires to wipe data

I think that Z3 doesn't even have a recovery partition.

There are 2 methots to install custom recovery:
1.(Best one) Downgrading to kitkat getting root and then recovery, but here's the problem: Downgrading requires to wipe data, which you don't want to do. So this isn't an option.
2. Unlocking the bootloader and flashing recovery. Problem: unlocking wipes your data and you lose DRM keys, so also not an option.
Sorry but I can't think of anything more.

or try this one ... it's for locked/unlocked bootloader i tested it on my T2 Ultra and it works

It's not a flashable zip .-.
-your phone must be rooted and usb debugging enabled.
-extract the zip file "Z3-lockeddualrecovery2.8.26-RELEASE.combined.zip" to desktop or any other location on your PC/Laptop.
-run executable file "install.exe" and connect your phone... if you have SuperSu press 1 and enter.
now you have dual recovery mode
here's the main thread of dual recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606

Unfortunately the only available options are these, all this is to protect your data and make them inaccessible to the thief if you get your phone stolen.
If you've forgot the password/pin/pattern of the lock screen, just perform a factory reset, it will wipe the data partition (apps and their data) but it won't touch your personal files such as music and photos

yeah, you need to unlock the screen lock to give adb shell root rights :\

The user have been asking similar questions for other devices in the past. I suspect that the user may have stolen the phone and I do not think it's a good idea to provide further assistance to this user, as making it easier to use a possibly stolen phone is no good. If OP is any legit, he would know that he can restore the password using his Google account, and losing the password and recovery for 2 high-end devices at the same time is just fishy.. Just my 2 cents guys.

[Q] How to flash CWM

Hey Guys! :cyclops:
I've got just a few questions about replacing my stock recovery with a custom recovery (ClockWorkMod).
My Phone (Huawei ascend g600/ U8950) has been locked by a friend (maybe he'll lose this status after that ;D ). So realize, i haven't still any access at activation of USB-debugging (which is turned off) & to my internet connection (which is necessary to unlock the phone).
Using CWM one should fix that fastly. Now I ask, wheter & how I can install clockworkmod-recovery without USB-Debugging and any loss of data; Any ideas?
(Is it possible to unlock bootloader without losing data or possible to install CWM without unlocking the bootloader?)
Thanks for help, i guess i met some professionals here

You need to unlock Bootloader to flash CWM..
Also Unlocking bootloader will always delete all the data you have.

No there isn't. With a Locked phone you can't modify anything.
unlocking bootloader always wipes away your all data. You need to back up your data before unlocking bootloader. I dont this so there is any way to flash custom recovery without unlocking bootloader. Just make it simple and unlock bootloader by using adb drivers and enabling USB debugging.

[Q] Root nexus 5 with Lollipop without losing file

Hi,
I found around the web that is possible root the Nexus 5 without losing file over KitKat, there is a way also with lollipop??
Thanks!
Rooting doesn't cause you to lose data. Unlocking your boot loader does...
I know, but there is a way to avoid the lose of data??

Not if you have a locked bootloader, no. Use helium backup and copy your sdcard to computer

I never recommend toolkits, so out of those two, chainfire. (Wugfresh is a toolkit)
However that said, I would recommend unlocking bootloader, fastboot flashing recovery then flashing supersu from recovery. That way you know what you're doing.

This. Just back up your entire phone (including the sdcard folder) so you are sure you won't lose anything.
I did as I have suggested, all right !! Xposed sin that still does not support Lollipop ..

I am asking this because then of course i have to go through a long procedure to back up all my data as ofcourse unlocking the bootloader is going to wipe my phone. Thanx in advance.

Your boot loader won't be locked again. Can you access your custom recovery (TWRP/CWM etc)? If so you just need to flash a SuperSU zip to get root back. If you lost your custom recovery, you can just flash one again, although you will need to connect to a PC to do this.
If you've lost your custom recovery, just use a toolkit like the one below to install one. You can then reboot to recovery and flash a supersu zip (download one first from here http://download.chainfire.eu/212/SuperSU/). You won't loose any data.
Toolkit:

Okay let me just check if i still have twrp and i'll get back at you. Thanks for replying so fast

[Resolved] Installed TWRP on phone with a locked bootloader - now stuck in boot loop

I am new to rooting, and decided to root my Galaxy Note II SGH-i317m a few days ago. I used a method with no adb access...i think. Here's the reference thread, just in case I'm wrong: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1980644
I got a bit overenthusiastic, and got TWRP while forgetting to unlock my bootloader first. Now, my phone will only boot into TWRP. All 4 reboot options go back to TWRP. What is the best way to get my phone back to working? I understand that I may have to lose my data. It doesn't matter: my top priority is getting my phone to work again.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. I'm new here.
if you can boot into recovery than try to wipe cache and dalwik cache than try to too boot again it may work

Thanks for the quick reply. I just tried that, and no change. Just to clarify, the only thing I can boot into at the moment is recovery mode.
I think what I need to do is flash the stock recovery back onto my phone. Is this a possible solution? If so, how should I go about doing it? I currently cannot access download mode.
i think u should install your current rom again if u insall stock recovery you may not able to do this with stock recovery even cant get twrp back
so..do a nandroid backup and install a rom which u like stock1 or custom1

Well, the thing is, my problem isn't with the ROM at all. It's that TWRP does not work with a locked bootloader. So the way I see it, either I need to replace TWRP with something that works with a locked bootloader, or unlock the bootloader. In your opinion, how would replacing the ROM help with my problem?

It's done. It's worth noting that my root method, linked in the OP, doesn't give adb access. I'm not sure if this changes anything.
Also, I discovered that by removing and replacing the battery, my phone can power off. From here I can access download mode. Something that might be useful, especially if the solution involves odin.

tried system restore with twrp?
try it first and if ur not sure that it will work just make backup of boot , efs , system and data(if necessary) via twrp to sd card copy the backup to pc via card reader or something and extract the system backup there should be a file named build.prop in system folder edit it and do it like this :
under #additional build properties
ro.adb.secure=0
ro.secure=0
ro.allow.mock.location=1
ro.debuggable=1
persist.sys.root_access=1
find the above lines and edit the parameters as i have shown to you use notepad++ to edit the file save it the last line will give ya root access by default and second last will make it debuggable just save it repack and flash with twrp cheers
hit thanks
Alright. Since I can't find another thread like this one, I will assume that I am one of the first to have this problem. Here is what I did.
I used samsung-firmware.org to find the latest firmware for my phone, which includes both ROM and recovery. Other brands probably also have a website like this.
I used Odin to flash the firmware onto my phone - this wiped my data, but removed TWRP, which is an acceptable solution to me. I might also have wiped my data while playing around with TWRP trying to fix my phone - I'm not sure.
Thanks to both EMONESSboy and [email protected] for their help. I ended up going with something similar to EMONESSboy's solution, since the commands seemed a little risky. Thanks anyways, your help is much appreciated!

If your situation is the same as mine was, I would recommend the same solution. Just to clarify - you rooted your phone? And then you installed a custom recovery, which is now the only thing you can access?
If so, you should install your stock ROM the same way you installed the rooted ROM. I'm not sure how you would go about doing that, or even if you can access that mode, since your model is not very common.

[Help] Forgot pin number - Moto G

Hi,
I have a friend that has a Moto G 2nd gen and she forgot her pin number.
She want to retrieve some data that are stored in the phone. I told her to install TWRP so then she could use TWRP file manager to erase the protection files and then access the phone to retrieve the info.
Her phone has no root or anything.
Is it possible to install TWRP to do that or is there another way ?
Thanks in adv

She needs to unlock the bootloader before flashing the TWRP. But after she unlocks the bootloader, the /data partition will be automatically wiped. So i guess, that it will be better if she tries to think about the pin for some time (maybe she will remember) before unlocking BL and flashing TWRP
