Why do I get, 'Application Is Not Installed On Your Phone' when I try to open apps? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

I have a Sprint Galaxy Note 5 on 6.0.1(not rooted). Recently I tried to open an app on my home screen and received the message,'Application Is Not Installed On Your Phone '. I didn't think anything of it and just reinstalled the app. I received this error before on a S4. The problem I had there was that my external SD card was corrupt. But my Note 5 doesn't have external SD card support and it keeps happening now with different apps. I've read that a factory reset will probably fix the issue.. But before I do that, I was hoping that someone might know of a solution for me? I've also cleared all app cache and data in all apps(including Play Store) and nothing seems to help.

?
Anyone have any ideas?

You probably took ota update and data partition isn't quite right. Save everything off of sd and do a factory reset in stock recovery so it can wipe everything fresh.

[Q] Help!

Hey guys, so right now I decided to do a factory swipe to delete all my data to start off new. I am on Valhalla Final with AS 14.1. However, when I try setting up my device, it wont let me continue to use my phone. I am stuck on google location asking to use their location service. I try to click next, but it keeps having a pop up saying the application has stopped unexpectedly and asks to try again. I tried searching for a solution about this, but didnt find any. Please help!
It sounds like you might not have a launcher in your system apps. Reboot to CWM and reflash the ROM.
oh geeze thank you so much! it worked! I will hit the thank you button! but I have another question. So after I did my factory reset, i noticed that i have more internal memory used. When I use to do a factory reset, it would show that I used up 76mb internal storage. After this recent reset, it says that I have used 96mb internal storage used? I have wiped dalvik and app cache and it still shows up as 96mb. Could you diagnose why I have more internal memory used after this particular reset?

[Resolved] Issues updating CM10.0 to 10.1 (T-Mobile GS3)

So I have had CM10 on my phone for probably 8 months now (almost since I got the phone) and have had no issues with the ROM whatsoever.
I got a notification about an updated version of CM10 today and went ahead and downloaded and installed it, but when I finished the update, I had no personal data left on the phone, could not set up accounts to recover the data, could not (and still can't) recover backups through ROM Manager, and cannot recover backups through CWM. I get an error message which I can't remember at the moment and leads to a bricked phone upon reboot until I do a fresh install of CM10.0.
I read after I started having the issues that I wasn't supposed to directly upgrade from the CM Updater with an S3, but it was already too late. Supposedly the issue is something along the lines of an emulated version of my phone's internal storage? If that makes sense. So whenever it's pulling a piece of information it's looking in the spot it should be in, but on a non-physically-existent SD card, essentially. That's what I gathered anyways.
I have a 32gb external SD Card that is also in use with my S3. I have tried moving my ROM Backups to there and recovering from the External SD Card, but the same error message occurred, although ROM Manager was at least able to find the backups after they were moved (I also had to change the setting and request that it prefer to look through an external SD Card).
So I have a usable ROM as far as the software itself, but I no longer can use any accounts or information that is stored with them or any of the same widgets (not a game-breaker) as I was able to previously. Is there a way to fix this? I've never just been completely stuck before >.<

Just to be clear, you're saying to try and flash CM10.0 and then do not update when prompted from the notification? The other part was clear enough lol.
Edit: Tried the above and did not fix the problem, but I didn't use fastboot specifically because I have a Samsung phone.
The error I'm getting is "unable to mount /system" when I try and restore a backup.
Bump. Still haven't figured this out.
Problem solved.
Re-flashed CM10.1; doing full data, cache, and dalvik wipes before and after the flash; and the problem was corrected.

[Q] Keep getting error 492 on HTC desire

Hello!
The problem with my HTC desire: I'm not able to download or upgrade anything. When I try to, I am told that I can't download (or upgrade) anything. The error 492 is given.
I also have problems with my camera and gallery. It says that I should place an SD card, or that it is removed. The SD card isn't being read by some actions. But I had another app installed, before the problems: QuickPic. It is a replacing gallery application, and all my pictures were just there. Also some other camera applications (like SnapChat) seemed to work, but I couldn't save anything.
My phone is rooted. Already tried a lot of things to fix, nothing helped for a long period. I wiped google play store cache, google play framework cache, and rebooted phone in recovery to wipe /cache and /Dalvik cache. Didn't help! I have even bought a new micro SD card, but didn't solve the problem as well. Only doing a total factory reset on my phone seemed to help, but it didn't last long. After one or more days I had the same problem again.
Anyone knows how to fix it? Please tell me! I would really appreciate your help!

[Q] HELP! Insufficient Storage Space...11.24 GB Though

Hi all,
I already searched around and could not find anything close to a solution. I have a huge ANNOYING problem. I haven't had this issue until recently. Or rather, I haven't noticed it until now. I flashed a new ROM coming from CM10 thinking it was the ROM, but I have tried two different ROMs and still the same problem. WTF!? I keep getting the message "Insufficient Space available" error when trying to install programs from Google Play or trying to side-load.
For some reason I have two internal storages when I look under storage in system settings. One is 1.97GB and the other is 11.24GB. In the smallest one, I have 209MB available. WTF!? Yet the other has 11.17GB. It's to the point where I have only 9 progrmas installed! 9!! Something's got to be wrong here, Please help!
What's the deal!? Anyone have a solution. I have done a factory reset and cleared everything. Still nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
*temporary fix*
OK, so I went in and cleaned out the folder /system/lost+found
It had 1.6gb of used space. Deleted it all and now I have that space available.
The main reason for this being a temporary fix is because I still have two internal storages. So eventually the 2gb where all the programs are being installed into, will run out again. So then phone is not taking advantage of all 14 GB available for storage.

Did you wipe data and caches?
I had this problem before, where I had gigabytes of files in the lost+found folder, which would take up the internal storage where apps are installed. When I went to another ROM, I did a clean flash, and even though I restored all apps from Google, I had much more space available.

I did all that. Just like always. Even before I flashed the new ROM, I cleared cache and wiped data. Even did Dalvik cache wipe. Still nothing.Where is this lost+found folder you speak of. Maybe go into it manually. But still doesn't explain all that available space.

Wipe data from google play services, google play, and google services frameworks. Clearing the data also wipes the cache for you. To do this go to Manage apps>all and pick those apps. It'll take some time to resync all your google info but after that you should be good.
So I just had this problem yesterday and what worked for me is to wipe Everything, except for the sd cards. That should clear out the data that is from your last rom.

Actually the way to fix it is set "use rm-rf" options in settings in TWRP while flashing. I don't know why but make_ext does not work sometimes

I'll try that. Actually I got it to where I can actually install other rpogrmas. But the phone still has a 2gb internal storage and 11.4gb internal storage. Which is pretty frustrating. Buddy's S3 only has one internal storage. Sondoea another Buddy's note2. So I'm lost as to why I have 2 internal storages. Wtf!?
For right now, see first post for my "temporary fix"

Have you figured out a solution (and not just a temp. fix) to your 2 internal storages issue? I'm having that problem right now after flashing official CM 10.2.
Please let me know asap.

Did you wipe internal sd card as well or did you mean you wiped everything except both the internal and micro sd card?

My solution was to disable Sync App Data in my google account as I logged into a factory wiped phone. I had Despicable Me 2 installed on my tablet, but even though it wasn't installed on my phone it was still syncing the 600 (SIX HUNDRED) MB of App data (videos I assume?!). There is no easy way to know which apps are doing this(abusing data sync), especially if you have multiple devices using the same account but different app sets. Wiping /data and making sure not to sync app data was the only thing that worked for me. Once you are in, you may be able to delete that app data by delteing the app from the 'My Apps' 'All Apps' section, but there should really be a better way to manage this data.
Did anyone come up with a permanent fix for this? I have tried flashing several roms several times and always end up with the split storage.

I haven't found a permanent solution, but you can install apps on the external SD card. I think there is an Xposed module that will force apps onto the sd card as well.

Huawei Mate 9 gallery app freezing & lagging Issue

Hi Friends,
I have Huawei Mate 9 with EMUI 5.0.1 and Android 7.0
The issue I have been facing is that my gallery app has now started freezing, lagging and all the time not responding.
Every time I open Huawei Gallery app its freezes and does not let me use it (i have to close it).
Anyone facing same issue or has any idea of how I can fix this.
Please note: I have done the following activities already;
1. Cleared gallery app cache many time
2. Cleared phone cache partition of phone
3. Reset my phone 2 time (the most irritating activity
3. Reduced number of pictures and folders on my phone and SD card.
hello bro. i have the same problem. i think that this problem appeared after a system update. now i am on B187 an i have tried to clear a lot of images, clearing cache and all what you have tried(No factory reset) and the issue remains. i am waiting for oreo update so i can reset the phone after the update.
One thing to double check. If you remove the SD Card from the phone and try without that in there. Does it still lock up just checking the phones internal memory? Could be a corrupt SD Card.
I had the same issue too, but it was my fault. Have you used Lucky Patcher to patch the system by any chance? I had the same issue until I restored default core.jar/services.jar and then it worked fine.
Also, by resetting phone do you mean reset as in restart? Or reset as in factory reset and erase data?
If nothing is working, you should just reflash your firmware. Reflashing will most likely fix your issue.
I have done this. Removed the SD card and turned on the phone without SD card but it remains the same. Memory Card is totally fine.
I use lucky patcher but just to patch some third party apps. Never used it to patch the system anyway.
Can you guide me how to restore the default core.jar/services?
by resetting means I have reset it two time,
1. from setting by factory reset & erase data
2. by resetting it in recovery mode.
PS. I have not rooted my mate 9
Same is the case with me. It all started from the last system update.
