It does NOT modify system files. If something unplanned happens, just reboot your device and it will restore your stock navigation bar.
Note: If you don't have root but you have KitKat or Android L you should try: GMD Full Screen Immersive Mode (no root) instead. It uses native KitKat immersive mode. You can find it in PlayStore and XDA.
This app can hide navigation bar without reboot and modifications.
It worth on devices with Phone UI, Phablet UI and devices with hardware keys.
It does not work on Tablet UI.

Yes but very buggy, reappear randomly and crashing my systemui.apk.
- Is soft keys bar restored properly when you turn Auto Hide OFF?
Again, very buggy, some times it still disappear
- Is autohide bar working properly?
Buggy.
- Are autohide bar buttons properly sized and aligned?
No. A little too large.
Uninstalling the app still causes FCs.

No go on TF201, been waiting for an app to remove the navbar on 4.2.2 for a while but it looks like I'm back to removing it through the ROM power menu everytime the tablet boots.

Custom roms usually have modified that part and I would need to add custom support for them. I just posted new version with Paranoid Android support, but I don't think its possible to support each and every custom ROM with this type of app. There are no standards and each ROM modifies it differently

so, I found a big issue with sweep, it kills ongoing applications like navigation.
