What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me @nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago. Back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.
S+ Reborn became a success and was eventually ported to different devices so from there I rebranded and XOSP project was founded. I worked on the project for 2 years always trying to improve it. Eventually, Because of the fact Lollipop was buggy on my Galaxy S+ (Which I maintained xosp for at the time) I decided to take a break from development until I got my hands on the Zenfone 2 in 2015 and from then I started again the development of XOSP and continued it ever since.
What Represents a Release and what represents a Revision?
Revisions include small changes such as bug fixes/improvments etc.. (Usually there are made like 3 revisions per-release).
Releases are the main "stable" builds with all new planned features implemented and bugs fixed.

Great job
:good:

the ones using this rom - Any bugs so far?

I just saw that ViPER doesn't work... It wanted to install libraries, so I allowed. Unfortunately, it want to install everytime I reboot phone.. I had busybox installed

There is a problem installing the June xapps, so I installed the ones of may. Other than that, it seems to be a beautiful and functional rom, I shall give it a go. Thank you for your effort.

What is XOSP?
XOSP is an after-market firmware based on CodeAuroraSources (CAF) destinated for a wide range of Android phones. The name stands for the Xperia Open Source Project and the project was initially created by @nilac for the Galaxy S+ (his old device) years ago when back then the ROM was called S+ Reborn. The vision was to create a minimal bloat free ROM which included Sony Xperia specific apps and various tweaks users would expect from a custom ROM.

How do we release updates?
We release new updates for our Official devices each week by providing Delta updates to the users,so maintainers of the other devices can do the same as well if they want to keep up with the changes. We will make full zip releases only once a month except special cases like for example XOSPDelta is not working or something like it.

This build now brings VoLTE (i think), and it's everything up-to-date. I used qualia as stock kernel to see if the battery gets better.
Please, test, report with logs and keep it Xperia!

Thanks for the ROM. It is very smooth and fast. Battery performance is perfect. I recommend to everyone.
ROM is fast, responsive, no FC. In ~8h idle lost 3% (no battery savers!) . Can be used as daily driver no problems. Some animation optimization and its perfect )
Also @AndropaX can you add some settings from RR like lockscreen customization, volume steps ?
P.S. in app drawer settings is "double tap the screen to turn off" which is nice )
Edit: default browser have troubles updating webpages content (need to scroll/touch to see new info)
battery life seems the best so far, 40 % gave me 3h+ SoT, some gaming, tests, settings, web browsing
@AndropaX , this notification toast looks kinda doubled
just installed looking great !!
Thanks a lot, ROM is fast and stable
Edit. What apps can I find in XOSPApps?

Is this rom compiled by using Teaammex's sources ? I remember you asking for permission. I don't think he would mind thought. And were you able to fix fp and cam?
But why did you not included credits? (You most certainly didn't made this rom from scratch, right!)

I saw the review on YouTube. It's either this or AOSiP(It'll come up in the forum). The kernel used is 3.18.69 and had saicharan sign on it. Meaning it uses the exact same kernel as of the latest RR

according to my knowledge, team hyper did release the kernel sources since it is mandatory. But i was asking about other stuff like device and vendor trees (i don't know what they are exactly, i just know you require them while compiling roms).
And i was not implying anything. I was just saying he should've given credits to the respective devs whoever they are.
@arvaaz plz attach some screenshots!
found new bulid from vimal

What is XOSP and how was it born?XOSP stands for the Xperia Open Source Project. The project was initially created by me (@nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) years ago.
What Represents a Release and what represents a Revision?Revisions include small changes such as bug fixes/improvments etc.. (Usually there are made like 3 revisions per-release).
Releases are the main "stable" builds with all new planned features implemented and bugs fixed.

Yeah it's bite the apple or go to boost or just jump ship ...shame cuz virgin has been giving me 10gigs for the price of 5 gigs for almost a year now ... Still don't make up for the network...lol
Tested this ROM. Very snappy and fast. I like Xperia look and feel, very modern and sleek.
One minor issue I had was playstore incorrectly recognize this device so some apps saying they are not compatible.
Netflix saying it's not compatible so I couldn't install it.
I had same issue with DotOS ROM as well. Any idea or clue what's causing this?
I am using Metro PCS versiono Moto e4.

It might have something to do with rom not passing safetynet. If you use magisk, flash the 'universal safetynet fix' module, it's located somewhere in the magisk forum.
Just posted a full LTE fix, you can view it Here. It works on any custom ROM
