crayon tweak - Xiaomi Mi 4i

I am recently using crayon tweaks .Thanks for creating and sharing this tweak. But in some post i noticed that this tweak removes thermal throttling .For that it may cuased my mi 4i damage.http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4...st67284929.See the first post. I dont wanaa be rude but i dont want my mi4i be dead.I like this tweak bcz i never experience any lag with this tweak. So should i use this tweak?

[Q] SKY ICS and scripts?

Hi, dear XDA MONSTERS
Ask me please:
- Can I use some tweaking scripts like SuperCharger V6, TurboBoost, Slide etc with this ROM?
- Should I do it? ;-)
Thank You ;-)

It's all up to you if your want to supercharge the phone, seanzscreams edited the servicejar so that anyone that wanted to do so could...
personally i have yet to supercharge this phone because it's already silky smooth and most developers already include some of the changes in their roms, if you do run the supercharger script you might feel a boost in performance and memory usage but i feel like it's more of a placebo effect, try it out for a while and then report back it you do feel an increase in performance!
I would def do it!
I would definitely dabble in scripts. When I was 1st starting to play around on xda it was the next step I took after learning to root & flash. I personally use v6 and am anxiously awaiting v8. I've noticed a huge drop in redraws with apex launcher on skyics. It makes seans kick a rom even better and is a great script to pop your cherry with. Although I would use rom toolkit instead of smanager to run the script, its a little easier for noobs in my opinion.
Thank you all!
By the way, all you told about the performance boost. But my primary interest is a energy saving. What is your opinion about this side of scripting? Will I not get a effect of less battery life with a performance script's on this room?
Sorry my English please

the tweaks n scripts are already preinstalled in the rom.... the developers or modders who created the rom chose the best scripts n tweaks for our device... n released their roms... .... but just in case to give an external boost(not a boost exactly, its like lowering the games graphics details to play it, like v do it in pc) .... there is an app chainfire 3d... try it... operate it... open it and you will understand what to to..

uhm..... as far as i knw other users also have recommended using chain fire and it does make a difference... it reduces lags n makes few games smoother to play... well there might b similar apps... you can find them in similar apps list frm the market..
Chain fire is best solution for gaming performance :what:

use tgb gaming engine or 99power script by aspee . it does boost performance.
> you'll find the boost your looking for,, read my signature
Without offence to any moder, I never found any performance boost in any tweak/rom...
Flash an up to date kernel which have a good TS driver for gaming(Paolo, Caveman, Ta...)along with your favorite GB rom, then test it in neocore without touch and then touching the screen.
And if you really want some more fps, put your phone in airplane mode and force close/uninstall all apps that run on background...

Anyone using note 3 n900 (WELCOME)

I don't know if it's right to open this thread....
But I can't post anything in the development section.
I'm using this site for four years at least and can't ask any questions i have.
My question is to @halaszk88 who made the kernel of n900 (or anyone have answer)
I use his kernel since 5 month it's so amazing but why he didn't put all primary things that kernel must have (in my opinion) like:
-Touch to wake (like googy max kernel for s3)
-Pegasusq governor(handle the game very well)
-Accept UHS memory card like sandisk (the files and folders disappear randomly)
-Combine the kernel with other app like trickster mod (because it's have lovely options like: time of the device in deep sleep and you can change all the voltages of cpu in one click and other stuff like these )
I'm not a developer, but I can learn fast
if any one can help or explain I'm very appreciate
Thank you all for this great site
Anyone!!!!
or at least post my request to halaszk88 thread if it's ok
Still waiting
having the same problem as you bro lol... having been on here shorter than you i find it odd you have to have a minimum of 10 post before you can post in the dev side... i also have a n900 and want to ask some questions, so sign of relief that i saw your post lol... ive used halaszk kernal but have been very disappointed with it, cant find any settings that wont over heat and lock up my phone... being one of two kernals that can be OverClock and volt regulated kernal, i find the pekaka-Kernel much better as far as being able to OC without overheating... One thing i cant understand is why i cant get thru an antutu benchmark without halaszk kernal rebooting my phone... so ya got a score of 36620 (antutu) with the pekaka-Kernel OC to 2Ghz... but hope all goes well sir and hope this helps us both so we can start posting where the devs will actually see our questions.
You are absolutely right bro
my phone also get heat with this kernel.....
we must have to get in halaszk88 thread very soon
see you there in couple of days man
thank you for posting here
not a problem man... just seems that this cpu architecture isnt the greatest for overclocking and with the discussion of not getting the HMP implement im kinda about to give up on tweaking my phone... seems these devs cant make a stable enough kernal (roms seem fine) that can handle the OC and heat. but as far as the pekaka-Kernel i would suggest that one for now until halaszk can fix his issues with overheating...
here my setup
[ROM][SM-N900] alba19986's (Lite version) Added TW deleted Nova Launcher :good:
pekaka-Kernel:N900XXUDNA6-2.0|N900-v7.2|Permissive|OC-2.0G|UV
big core: OC 2.0G
LITTLE core: 550mhz
did not touch default volt settings (2Ghz '1262mV')

I'll try pekaka kernel soon with your settings and let you know what it's performance on my phone.
because i use stock rom
Thank you man
ya those settings seem to be ok... got bored and up my minimum cpu setting from 550mhz to 900mhz just to see if there was any performance increasse... seems to be faster but the Antutu benchtests still remain the same, around 34 to 36k... ive also tried to UV and OV and found out that OVing more than once or twice will freeze my phone cause it over heats it... once i get into the ACTUAL forms ill ask more questions to halaszk about volt settings cause it uses about the same as the peka kernal but overheats quicker... mayb ill just tinker with it some more and find a good setting... wish me luck xD
Hi
good luck forever bro
i tried pekaka-Kernel 2.1 version ( bbecause I'm on 4.4.2) it seems very good and my phone performance getting up.
It's missing many setting that halaszk88 have.
but the performance is amazing....
Thank you bro

yea the downfall of this kernal is that there are less settings to play with but it is a hell of alot more stable ( my opinion ) than halaszk.
feeling kinda of down tho cause even tho this is an awesome phone, i feel i should have went with the n9005 since there are more DEVs there than here. Im grateful for the DEVs we have but really dissapointed when it comes to Kernals that are out there. about only 2 good kernals possibly 3 (goodhanrry) but at max halaszk can only OC at 2.1ghz ( and it heats up ur CPU like a motherF***).
three more post and im in there... early congratz for only one more (post) for you man GL
I'll post in halasz88 thread soon....
but all thanks to you bro for let me post there

[Discontinued]CoolDemand MOD(Thermal Tweak/ UnderClocked CPU/GPU Composition)

Keep rootedsystem.img in internel storage if somehow ur phone Bricks!!
due to lack of feedback I decided to discontinue this development. You can still use the files below and modify as u like.Instructions:
1.Plz use the attached zip extract
->Do back up ur files first..<-
2.Replace init.qcom.post_boot.sh and thermal-engine-8994.conf with extracted ones
3.Set permission rw-r-r
4.Power off wait the phone to cool down properly and bootup
5.Enable developer option and check "Disable hw Overlay" & (optionally) "Force GPU Composition"
6.Reboot Once more and get a cooler G flex 2
Do post some feedbacks and press thanks button if it helped you :laugh::angel::angel:
Tweaks:
Ondemand Governor
Underclocked big.CLUSTER to 1.83GHz
Underclocked little.CLUSTER to 1.38GHz
Applied Power_Tweaks for sd810 from OnePlus 2
Input boost frequency to 384MHz on cpu.2 & cpu.6 and 32ms input_boost
Applied GPU composition set on init(during boot)
Removed unwanted init.qcom.post_boot cases(Reduced init file size)
GPU thermal throttling starts at higher temperature
CPU thermal throttling starts at higher temperature
CPU 0 - 3 has sampling of 100 for frequency lock (as little cluster does not overheat soon)
CPU 4 & 3 has sampling of 35 for frequency lock(as these two overheats very fast)
CPU 5 & 6 off is set to at high temperature
and more CPU +battery thermal tweaks
changelogs:
2k16/12/02 -
initial tweaks published
2k16/12/19 -
-V2.0 beta
Sampling time - 50000ns core.little
Sampling time - 30000ns core.big
core.Big is power biased (partially working)
sampling down factor of core.Big is 2 (not working properly)

You need root to replace those files.. In MM there is no root
On the test right now. I've downgraded yesterday evening from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1. I was sick because of no root on the 6.0.1
So, a quick update: I've never used mods for thermal management before. My experience on the last 6 months were based on a stock LG G flex 2 with android 6.0.1
Right now I'm using andoid 5.1.1 with this thermal mod.
So what kind of tests do you want me to perform?
On a daily basis, and when the phone is under "stress" it will still heat up, however the CPU temp don't go above the 80ºC. This is done by this thermal management or is it done by another process?
I don't feel any lag or what so ever. Regarding games, I just play [email protected] [email protected] However I do use dual window quite often to check youtube videos on and chrome at same time, and I dind't find any issues till now.
Thanks

U dont need to perform any tests.. You just have to see if these mods will get you a more stable lagfree phone with a better battery life or not..
I am bringing out a next version which has better cpu management..
Also after exams i am going to see if we can implement these tweaks into MM also .. Maybe make a dev group for MM root as v20 has made some progress...
How does your mod, without the underclocking part, compare to a combination of Probaina's thermal tweaks, Soosoolhastam's tweaked interactive governors boot script, and your own init.d scripts (also without the underclocking part)? I know it's a difficult question, but I need to know this if I'm going to install your mod. Thanks in advance~

The interactive tweaks boost the cpu clock in many ways but all are not good for this 810chip.. Also he has directly copied and pasted the tweaks from nexus 6p without crediting the original poster ..plus it has disabled touchboost which is not present in g flex 2.. Meaning that may generate unexpected error..
Probainas tweaks was really good but i have modified stock one to not turn off cores even in heavy gaming..with probainas it heats fast and turns off cores 4 and 7 soon but mine endures longer without much heat .. Not that everyone may feel same.. But heavy gaming may lag from mine..
I have tweakd ondemand gov instead of interactive..

PS: sry for my bad english ^^
which "init.qcom.post_boot.sh" is the correct one, the one from the zip "thermal_tweaks_021216" or the one from "coolDemand_v2.0b"? Either way, what do I edit exactly to add the mod without the underclocking part?
---------- Post added at 10:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:29 AM ----------
I don't want to sacrifice performance in any way.
---------- Post added at 10:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:32 AM ----------
if you would be kind to just edit the performance compromising parts for me, it would be awesome. Otherwise, please tell me what to edit out to not compromise performance. (I will be doing lots of gaming)
---------- Post added at 10:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:35 AM ----------
Also, can I use your mods together with your init.d scripts (also without the underclocking part)?

Sorry for the late reply..
coolDemand v2.0b is still in beta..
You can try out that but the first one thermal_tweaks_021216 is v1 which is highly stable..
Init.d scripts are something that run on boot.. so after apply the cooldemand tweak you can port init.d into it but the scripts won't be any use because it's already implemented..
So just try these.
And about the under clock part don't worry at intensely high gaming the cap will be removed anyways..

But won't that mean I'll miss out the other tweaks besides thermal ones? Like GPU compositioning, tweaked ondemand governor, etc? Can't I just delete/replace certain segments of the boot script file's text, to have all the advantages except underclocking? Sorry if this question is stupid.

The thermal file was modified to better optimize heat in this phone by me .. and is a base on other bootscript tweaks
I have discontinued this tweak and wont be work8ng on cooldemand anymore as i didnt enough feedback to progress with my work..
U can use any of this file independently..
U can just use thermal conf file if u wish with stock postboot script or anyother tweak..
