[Q] Help! Accidentally deleted system stock bootanimation file

I was trying to change my bootanimation and accidentally deleted the system stock bootanimation file on root explorer.
I think I deleted the one from system/bin and the one in system/media.
Now i have no bootup screen...it's just black.
I tried replacing both of them with the bootanimation.zip file i wanted to use and nothing has worked.
Sorry I'm new at this and have googled and read as much as i can. I successfully changed the bootanimation screen the first time but i wanted to change it again and accidentally deleted the original bootanimation folder, which i guess you needed.
I'm afraid to do a system recovery because I have a rooted phone and I'm using Boost with it. I don't know if that will effect it in a bad way.
Please help!
Use bootanimation zip file intented for your device resolution...just search in this forum...

Added apks to be replaced. Should work.
here is mine i would like to share if you want, the framework and the system ui is from stock rom, so meaning when you flash this you will lose status bar transparency(back to stock, i happened to like it better as i noticed its faster when dropping down) and some icons reverted to stock also like the ringtone slider when you adjust volume through volume keys/button(no big deal though because again i like the stock icons giving you feel of its originality) before flashing it is recommended to do a backup so just in case you want to revert back just reboot to recovery select backup and restore and select advanced restore, then just select restore system, no need to restore the whole rom :good: enjoy :highfive:

[Build.Prop] Original JSS15R Nexus 7 2013 (From Stock Image)

EDIT: WIFI ONLY - Not the LTE Version!
Title says it all. Hope this saves someone hours of searching for it like I did before giving up and pulling it from the stock JSS15R image. I know we should all make backups but life happens. This is for all of you [like myself] who found you could not upgrade to Stock 4.4 because of changes to your build.prop file.
In my case I forgot to uninstall a custom framework I had installed on a stock 4.3 image [root but stock recovery] and the 4.4 OTA failed. I never got another prompt to try again from Google so after removing the framework I downloaded the image manually and tried to install it through ADB. Again it failed this time telling me the file build.prop had the wrong checksum. The framework had restored the build.prop but the file checksum was off. The one below was pulled from the original stock image using ext4_unpack. I copied it to my system folder over the "original" and ran the update again. Worked like a charm.
If you run into the same issues try the stock file above. We really should just start a repository for these stock build.prop files.

Recent apps fix?

I downloaded Sac's v2 ROM and I got used to the Recent apps where it usually is, my question is, is there anyway to flash a zip file or replace a file in order to achieve the stock button functions? I flashed his "hold home for recents" but its not the same as I'm used to.
You can take the android.policy.jar from system>framework in v1 and swap it and all buttons will go back to normal. (change permissions and such of course when replacing any system files)
I swapped the android.policy.jar files the other day, and as a result the phone just wouldn't boot. I'm guessing this is due to not setting permissions. How should permissions be set for the new file when it is swapped? And in addition, should permissions for other files placed in system be set the same exact way (for future reference)? I know how to change them, but do not know how they should be or why they should be set a certain way

The folder is set to rw-r-r- but there is a new flashable zip just posted in the sac23 thread
Not sure but I replaced the Android.policy.jar file from v1 to v2, worked like a charm. Took maybe 5 to 6 minuted to boot.

LG Optimus G 4.1.2 How Do I Replace System/App Folder For A Backup Safely?

how do I replace my actual system/app folder for a backup safely?
I want to make sure things won't go like this again, also sorry for the wall of text beforehand
My phone is the LG Optimus G AT&T and I'm using the stock 4.1.2 rom
I tried to install a status bar for a stock based ROM and a lock icon removal on my stock rom but it didn't work as expected. It messed up some things and the systemui kept notifying me that it stopped working every few seconds. The zip files I flashed supposedly installed a few files inside said folder but I'm not sure which files nor if it edited other files so I want to replace it completely to not have any problem. thing is, I'm not sure of how to proceed here, do I just wipe it with an explorer and then paste the back up there, or will that break my phone again? do I push the backup with adb command prompt after deleting the folder? Is there another option?
I'm not sure if this info is helpful at all but I thought you guys might need to take it into account, just in case
I'm also not sure of which category is the right one, since it's my first post in this forum, though I've been lurking around for quite a while
I tweaked the system apps a bit before screwing up, and deleted the AT&T bloatware that nobody uses, also replaced the stock launcher with nova as a system app. having only 1 launcher caused a huge mess after trying to fix things by replacing the contents the folder with a copy of the backed apps.
First I replaced all 4 files with the name "systemui.apk/odex" and "LGsystemui.apk/odex". then I tried to replace the whole folder by moving things and I accidentally checked the "apply this action for all files" option (or something along those lines) while overwriting them, which probably caused nova launcher to stop working and rebooted my phone automatically. then I spent 2 hours trying to figure out what was wrong with the phone because I couldn't do anything, just open the settings through the status bar and it turned out I had to reinstall nova launcher outside system by sending the apk to myself through email to not get in that mess again, and now I'm here, a little desperate to know what can I do to not screw my phone up.
Thank you
