X-plore allows you to see inside of your Android phone or tablet.
This is a dual-pane explorer, which means that there’re two folders shown at same time, and common operation such as copying files are done from one pane to another.
And X-plore shows folder hierarchy in a tree view. This offers clear orientation on where in file system you currently are, and fast switching to other location.
Currently selected folder and files are highlighed, while other folders/files have slighly darker background.
You may explore internals of the device, and if you’re power user and have your device rooted, you can make changes to system data – backup files, remove unwanted applications, etc.
If you’re standard user, you may choose to hide internal memory from view and be sure not to mess with system.
You can comfortably see contents of your external memories, either be it built-in high capacity memory, external memory card, or possibly USB memory stick attached to your tablet. All these memory types are listed in main level, you don’t need to search for their folders on the device.
Access to FTP and FTPS (secure FTP) servers is supported.
Multiple servers may be configured. All standard file operations can be done on FTP server.
X-plore can display shared folders on other computers in LAN (local area network).
The system allows access to shared folders on computers connected to LAN, or even remote server if it supports SMB protocol.
X-plore can search for available servers, edit and save settings, or manually add server.

Update available in Google Play
This is a great file manager
@samhawk:
Are you the dev, or just sharing information?
How do I change port in ftp settings
it is the best!
the best lightweight file manager with many features like ftp, clouds etc. i use it from symbian versions, it is great app :good:
Came across this the other day and is a perfect alternative to ES file explorer which even that had a bunch of bloatware and was removed from google play store for various reasons.
One nice addition would be a navigation bar allowing to copy/paste paths which would be a huge addition
The main problem of xperia miro is we cannot send/receive all file types through Bluetooth . Many android device have this issue. This is because of the some restrictions in the Bluetooth profiles like OBEX , OPP , FTP.
OBEX (abbreviation of OBject EXchange) - is a communications protocol that facilitates the exchange of binary objects between devices
OPP (Object Push Profile) - A basic profile for sending "objects" such as pictures, virtual business cards, or appointment details. It is called push because the transfers are always instigated by the sender (client), not the receiver (server).
FTP (File Transfer Profile) - Provides the capability to browse, manipulate and transfer objects (files and folders) in an object store (file system) of another system.
We can send/receive all audio,video and some files of MIME(Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) types. When we try to share .exe ,.docx,pptx etc we can't see bluetooth in share options .The way to send this type files is rename them to any file type that is supported blutooth share(that is rename .exe to .mp3).This require renaming on the receiver side (.mp3 to .exe).The files in Xperia Miro can't access through another phone using Bluetooth FTP.
There is an app called Bluetooth File Transfer developed by Medieval Software Click HERE
Which allows all files to send and receive . Bluetooth File Transfer supports FTP so we can access our files through any bluetooth FTP software from another phone or computer. The app can be used to share installed apps in the phone through bluetooth.All file management functionalities are included.
There is widget which helps to enable/disable bluetooth,visibility,file receive,FTP from home screen
FEATURES ARE
* Custom security manager for incoming BT connections: only authorized devices can connect, if you accept. If you refuse, no access is granted on your servers: personal data files and privacy are safe against hacker, nerd, geek and guru (enanched Bluetooth server security is disabled by default)
* 3rd party applications can open (or pick) files from sdcard using this package like attachment, music, pictures or any multimedia file (no external intents are supported for performance purpose)
* Support for legacy 2.0 and AES (128, 192 and 256 bit) encryption (both pack and unpack) of Zip files (like WinZIP or WinRAR) - keep private document secure using a long pass to protect it

ASTRO File Manager with Clouds Pro v4.4.546 APK in bit.ly/18EsgNu
Metago | October 21, 2013 | Productivity | Android 2.2+ | 7.61 MB
ASTRO Cloud & File Manager has over 70 million downloads worldwide! Organize, view and retrieve all of your pictures, music, videos, documents or other files regardless of where they are located:
* Phone * Tablet * Clouds (Facebook, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box or SkyDrive) * PC, Mac, Linux (via built in networking)
Ever try to find a file but can’t remember where you put it? ASTRO has the most robust SEARCH technology in the mobile world, giving you the ability to do anything from broad searches across all locations mentioned above for types of content (pics, music, videos, etc.) to very specific searches based on file name, size, location, etc. And, with ASTRO’s unique “CLOUD HOPPING (TM)”, you can move files from one cloud to another in a single copy or move/paste – without having to download them first before sending to your destination cloud!
ASTRO now has support for Leef Bridge, a powerful, yet simple, innovative USB flash drive that allows users to easily transfer files to other devices (Android phones, tablets, Macs and PCs) without the need for cables, cloud services, Wi-Fi or any type of data connection. Leef Bridge features a micro USB connector and full-size USB connector that access the same memory so users can share content, photos, videos, music and documents to and from any compatible device.
What are some of the benefits to ASTRO’s new Indexing functionality:
- After your first search, results are almost instantaneous across all indexed locations (mobile device, clouds, networked locations)
- If you are offline, you can still search for files that have been indexed.
- Eliminates redundant network calls in ASTRO, making some operations faster.
- Better file browsing experience in areas with spotty or slow network coverage.
How does ASTRO’s new Indexing functionality work?
- As you browse through directories on your device, clouds or networked locations, ASTRO begins indexing your files in the background in order to speed up future searches you perform.
- It will also build your index whenever you do a search. It will build the index for your internal and external sd cards very quickly (typically under 15-20 seconds). Clouds or networked locations will take longer and also depends on the number of files in those locations.
- You can also choose to proactively index any of your other locations like clouds (Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive) and networked locations by doing a search on those locations or by going to Settings, Search index and click Rebuild index. Keep in mind if you choose to index a 500GB server you have at home, it may take a while. icon smile ASTRO File Manager with Clouds Pro v4.4.546
- You can go to Settings, Set Default Search Locations to set your default locations.
- You can go to Settings, Search index and clear your index at any time as well.
- SWIPE SCREEN RIGHT to get to Clouds, Network Locations or Saved Searches fast
- SWIPE SCREEN LEFT to get to Tools (App Backup, Task Killer, SD Card Usage), Settings and Help
It gives you the ability to stop processes that burn battery life (Task Killer) and backup your apps (App Backup) in case you lose or change phones.
Features include: file management, content management, multi-cloud, cloud content management with Facebook, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and SkyDrive, android file browser, file and/or app backup, image and text viewers, networking, Bluetooth, SFTP, Zip, downloader, thumbnails, search files, application manager, task manager, attachments…
What’s New
4.4-543 – fixed several small bugs on several different platforms
4.4-541
- Improved memory usage
- Improved Skydrive support
4.4-528
- Indexed Searches. Search are now automatically indexed which greatly decreases search times for clouds and networks. Read more about how indexing works in the Description.

Hi,
BookUp is a books information & reading list app.
* First feature :
search books informations by title, author, editor, subject, language or isbn.
Also, a rudimentary barcode scanner is embedded in the app so that you can scan the isbn barcode of a book and search that specific book easily !
Search results are displayed as an infinite scroll list.
Clicking/touching a book in a list displays a detailed single book view.
On detailed view, long pressing a book cover displays the cover as a bigger image.
* Second feature :
In list or detailed view, clicking the small "bookmark" icon adds the book to your "library".
The library is an offline list where you can keep book information for later usage, I personnally created it as a reading list, but other use cases are possible.
When I listen to a podcast, the radio, I'm reading an article, if a book seems interesting I search it and save it so that I can easily find it later.
You can add or remove books from your library just by toggling the bookmark icon.
* Third feature
A share button is available in single book view. It can send books information containing a link to any text app (sms, whatsapp, clipboard, twitter etc...).
Afterwards, clicking the link on any phone where BookUp is available displays automatically that specific book directly in single book view where it can be added to the library.
That makes it really easy to share books with other people.
-edit
* Fourth feature :
- save library as a file to local storage (internal or SD card) or remote storage (Google Drive, DropBox, etc...)
- import backup files saved from the app (in case of accidental erasure etc...)
- import can merge several files as a bigger library because it adds non existent books
* Permissions :
- camera (to scan barcodes)
- internet (to search data on books)
- read external storage (needed by some cloud providers to read backup files, for DropBox actually) --NEW--
/edit
* Future features / planned improvements :
- allow the use of external barcode scanner (although this app weighs only 1.8 MB) so the embedded scanner is not heavy and won't clutter your phone.
- manage multiple libraries, arranges by tags or themes etc...
- export/import library as a file (csv, etc...)
- notify public domain books in single book view and allow to download the book
- ?? I don't know, you tell me, but I want to keep the app small and focused.

New release which brings a useful feature : backup and restore of your library.
Changelog :
- it is now possible to export your library as a text file for backup (option accessible from library view).
- this backup can be saved on local storage (internal or SD card, use option "export as file") or on remote storage (cloud, Google drive, DropBox etc..., use option "export to app")
- those backup files can be imported ("import" option)
- the import adds all books in the file that are not in your library, it doesn't remove files (it is not a synchronization).
- so it can be used to merge several libraries for example (in case someone gives you his or her backup file), useful for sharing.
A new permission is therefore required now, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (actually this one is required only to get files from DropBox as far as I can tell ).
Get the apk from XDA LABS or use the attachment below.
https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/me.bayang.bookup
Don't hesitate to drop a word or two in the thread if you like it, find it useful, encounter bugs or want to request features.
New release, version 1.3, brings up two new things :
- when scanning barcodes, the app now searches for a preinstalled barcode scanner app, if there is none the internal one is used. It is possible to force the use of the internal barcode in the new settings menu.
- in list view, public domain books are now signaled with a download icon. Clicking the book leads to detailed view which now displays download links for epub or pdf format.
Go get it in xda-labs !
https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/me.bayang.bookup
New release brings version 2 !
- it is now possible to manage several libraries
- it means you can add or remove books from any library by touching the same icon as before.
- Navigation has been fully rebuilt and is now more intuitive and clean
***WARNING***
These are breaking changes !
EXPORT YOUR BOOKS BEFORE UPGRADING AND REIMPORT THEM AFTERWARDS WITH THE GENERATED FILE.
You will be prompted to choose in which library you want to add the previous books.
If you forgot to create a library you will also be prompted to create one.
For example use the export as file option, create an export file and reimport it after upgrading.
* Once you are in v2, export files will export ALL your libraries.
* Nonexistent libraries will be created during import.
* You can now create several libraries, so books can be sorted by themes or genres for example.
* Libraries can be deleted.
* Clicking any book not in a library will allow you to add it to any library.
* Clicking any book in a library will allow you to add it to or remove from any library.
So go get it in xda-labs.

Warning

Basic r/w operations might not work on external memory on Kitkat devices. Don't use cut/paste from or to external SD Card. You might lose your files.
.
Click to expand...

For cut/paste or move why not implement basic security guard:
Copy files from a to b
check if files exist properly on b
if exists - delete files on a | else error message/toast/dialog
I don't know the reason why github doesn't accept me to upload that apk, but smaller texteditor.apk is ok. Therefore I have to zip it.
Ok, thanks, I will do the screenshots.
I've used many open sources to develop this app. For the cut, paste files, I've used and modified codes from Amaze File Manager. And I only test on 2 devices android 5 and 7. Therefore, the app only support from Android 5, but I copied pasted the warning from Amaze File Manager. So I've better remove that warning.
Actually, only after cut/paste successfully, the source is deleted. If they're in the same partition, only rename without copying. If b exist, there is a dialog to confirm overwrite or not.

Update version, recompile zpaq, download https://www.dropbox.com/s/vfhye23v549bz6y/PowerFileExplorer_1.0.13.apk?dl=0
Why is the apk hosted on dropbox & not as an asset in gh releases?
Furthermore the app could use a UI makeover/follow material guidelines. We're in 2019.
The idea is a bold one - a file browser with integrated previews for most popular file types, yet will not fully trust the app to test yet.
