How do I get to have a working contacts apk and contacts storage after deleting them on my rooted Cherry Mobile Flare?
About phone:
Model number: Nexus S
Android version: 4.0.4
Kernel Version: [email protected]#1SMP PREEMPT Mon Jan 28 2013
Build number: TBW592241_8572_V000041
ROM name: CMX III PROJECT BUTTER
Developer: Joey Huab
You will need to either Reflash the Rom or extract those two apps from the Rom Zip and sideload them.
The said Rom which I think is a Nexus S port to Flare, is not listed on XDA. So you may want to post in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting so that the right experts may be of help.
Thread closed. Thank you.
First my phone information:
Model number; SM-G900V
Android version: 4.4.4
Baseband version: G900VVRU1AN12
Kernal version: 3.4.0 dated Sun Sep 13 2014
Build number: KTU84P.G900VVRU1AN12
SE for Android Status: Enforcing SEPF_SMG900V_4.4.4_0032 Dated Oct 13 2014
Security software version: MDFv1.0, Release 3 , VPN v1.4 Release 1
I want to be able to utilize my external SD card and thus my need to root my phone. I have been reading through the threads and indications are that I can do that with towelroot. I also know towel root would be the way to go. However, given the date of my kernal is this even possible yet? If so, can someone direct me to the proper root instructions if that is other than towelroot please? I really don't want to change from the stock ROM at this time but want to be able to have the flexibility to do that in the future.
Thanks in advance.

Been digging for a way to root my Samsung Galaxy J1(SM-J100ML) and found none.
I tried the method with SM-J100H, sadly, it bricked my phone. Good thing I found a way on how to recover.
Below are the details I can give about my phone. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
I don't believe kingoroot works on your device. Try posting your query in Android Q&A,Help and Troubleshooting or in the friendly Q&A thread here->[Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly] .Experts there may be able to help you.
Good luck
I am basically a noob, but I know my way around computers and I can do a few advanced things. I can follow instructions well. So, could you please tell me, could I install a Custom ROM onto my device? (See title).
I am looking to install CyanogenMod (12). My device is rooted. I am unaccustomed to installing Custom ROMs, in fact this is my first attempt. If there are already instructions on this, please point me that way. I'm new to these forums, but I have used them to solve some of my problems.
Stock SAMSUNG ROM is installed.
