Modded recovery and boot images (UK)

Great work on the Modded recovery and boot images people
Has anyone had any joy creating one for the UK RC7?
Im not sure if T-mobile in the UK have started the update process to give us the equivalent of rc30 yet but i cant imagine it will take them long.
I've already renamed otacerts.zip & cacerts.bks and Updater.apk & Updater.odex to deny any update they bring out, but it would be nice to get the phone up and running a modded recovery/boot image for when the time comes (hopefully leading to a modded version of whatever locked down firmware they lump the UK owners with).
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated by the UK owners
Im a bit new to this, but will gladly upload anything that can help.

[Q] S-OFF and OTA

Well I switched to S-OFF to get a new splash screen and now I can no longer install OTA updates for my Hero. I get a signature failure every time I try to install. Does anyone know how to switch this back on? I didn't realize this would kill the ability to do updates as the forums I have read before switching didn't have any mention of it.
Sorry if this has been previously posted and I missed it in the forums.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The signature failure isn't from s-off it's from the custom recovery. What you need to do is to resign the zip.

Just an added note, as far as I know, you can't switch back to S-ON on this
device, at least, not at the moment.. If they get S-ON to work on these phones,
good, but if not, I'm not overly concerned.

Not sure I'm understanding the question. But, if he means receiving updates directly from Sprint then they don't come as zip files. So, how would signing anything help him?
Not sure why you would want to download something from Sprint directly anyway. Whenever an update comes out, they're usually packaged and ready for you to flash via custom recovery by the end of the day if not sooner.

The ota (over the air) updates that sprint pushes out and you download are stored in an update zip in /cache then when you choose to install them they are flashed through the stock recovery... but if you don't have the stock recovery you will have to pull the update from your device resign it and then flash it through custom recovery. Also they won't work on anything but a stock or close to stock rom because of the checks it does in the update scripts and most of everything inside is .p files (patch).
I should know because I took the second to last sprint update rooted it and posted it on here. You can actually test this theory by running the ruu rooting it and then when you get an update download it but don't install it right away. You'll find it in /cache (I believe forgotten exactly) or just take my word for it.
If you do do it like that I suggest the original 2.1 ruu just because you'll get your original radio back in the process

Good information to know. Thanks Asadullah.

[Q] Will we EVER get flashable new baseband??

I am just interested if there are any chances that we soon get flashable new baseband so we don't have to mess with risky LG and clumsy TMo OTA updates? Has anyone had experience with that before and how long did it take for developers to put flashable zips for us up there?
itll happen when it happens. there really is no putting a date on it.
Main thing it DOES happen, if.

[HELP] Trying to bring the first SM-G920R4 Rom. Need some help.

I'm a US cellular customer, and I've seen there are a lot. There are no roms whats so ever for this device. I'm trying to make a TWRP flashable zip stock Odexed/Deodexed but I cannot get a working updater script for the SM-G920R4 (zeroflteusc) You have to use the Edge zerolteusc TWRP to even get touch, and touch is backwards. Unikernel is the only way to root, so if you're comfortable with not giving a crap about KNOX this is for you. I have a zip I can get uploaded. Is there anyone out there that can help? I feel so close but I'm stuck at this. I've also debloated it *a little I don't know whats safe to remove or not on the S6.
I can't help you, but I'm really interested in this!

11/8/2016 update not even on T-Mo website

To Mods: I didn't know where to place this in order to get attention, please place it where it needs to correctly go...
I am uploading an update that was downloaded last night and it is not even on the website yet..
It does have a modem, laf and aboot image in it so I think it might be beneficial somehow if a DEV were to take a look at it.
UNMODIFIED update.zip
...it's the 20L update already known and announced in other threads...
