Hi.
I have rooted my Note 3 this afternoon and all appears to have gone smoothly.
I have also installed ClockworkMod.
However, when I attempt to back up the existing ROM, the phone reboots into recovery mode with a picture of the the green android man
on his side with an exclamation mark.
Can you advise how I resolve this ?
Thanks

I just picked up a used xoom that had 3.0.1 on it...
when I checked for updates, it found 3.1 HMJ37.... It downloaded and verified it. then I clicked on restart and install.
It proceeded to restart the Xoom, powered back on to the green android guy with the triangle inside.... then after a few minutes it restarts again...
but it still has 3.0.1 on it....
Ive done this 3 times so far.....
Any ideas what the issue could be?
thanx for your help
Danny
could it be failing the update because its not running stock 3.0.1?
how could I tell if its stock or has already been rooted (I know on phones you have a superuser app, but dont know to much about rooting tablets)

Im not sure how to tell... there doesnt appear to be any superuser on it...
any when I loaded setcpu, is was not able to gain access....
any other way to tell is its not completely stock?
So I decided to try a few more things..
I powered it on while holding the volume down key...
It got to the red cirlce with an M in it and says in the top left-
"starting fastboot protocol support"
I assume this means that I dont have a completely stock device???
unfortunately it is stuck there.... its not doing anything else....
any ideas?
-update
(apparently holding down the volume up key and pressing the power button got it to restart)
Can anyone explain what the fast boot is and how to go back to stock?
update 2-
holding the volume up and powering it on gives me this message
"starting RSD protocol support 3"
and then just hangs as well
thanx for your help
danny
One more thing I noticed, When it restarts to perform the upgrade, it shows the below message when the Green Droid comes on
'Entering System Recovery'
thanx again
do a reset on it so you know your working with a clean slate download something like adfree to see if it is rooted from previous owner if it is

Hi,
sorry for my post, but i'm devastated and can't find anything
I flashed my Nexus S, I9023, with the new ICS update from the Google servers
and now it is stuck in a constant boot loop
Going into fastboot and choosing recovery doesn't help
I can only see a lying Android with a red triangle and then nothing happens
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks

I always get a theme failure...
you will need to do do a full wipe. then install as install from sd card and locate the update file.

Hi, any luck with this issue?! I'm having exactly the same problem
You could try flashing the recovery through fastboot or even wipe the device and flash the ROM through fastboot.
Thanks... At the end I wasn't even able to get into Clockwork Mod Recovery. Found a guide on how to force my way into Clockwork Mod, and tried to load a ROM - without success...
I ended up leaving my phone on boot the whole night, and sure enough, it was working in the morning. Mind you, I've had it booting or more than half an hour before, and nothing happened.
So personally, I don't have an explanation why it works all of a sudden.
My suggestion is, leave it booting overnight and "hope for the best" - it worked for me.
Hi all,
I have a rooted HTC Desire S and wanted to apply a HTC System Update. I thought that it would unroot the phone but not cause any problems. However, now the System Update seems to be stuck with a blue android and exclamation mark on screen.
I wonder what to do now.
Is it safe to restart the phone by removing the battery or otherwise?
Thank you so much for your help.

Try to restart the phone by Holdingn Volume Down & Volume Down and press and hold the Power button.
It worked!
Thank you, ben_pyett.
I had my kindle updated to 6.3, i reverted it back to 6.2.2 and rooted, it was stable for 2 days and while I was watching a live stream the web app said not responding multiple times so i decided to restarted it and got stuck at the yellow triangle. Then i used kfu to boot it in normal mode and when it boots up its fine for about 2 seconds and it says shutting down with that circle thing and shuts down every time. help please?
I've had trouble with the kindle fire too. I would try to get either twrp or the touch recovery going and download the update from amazon so you can take it back to stock. Use KFU to root it back and install a custom rom. I must have had to take that thing back to stock a half dozen times before I got it working properly. I actually just stuck with the touch recovery though...twrp gave me too many problem. I hope that helps ^_^

Well when it gets stuck at the yellow triangle it won't go to the recovery part, the power button turns on green and about 15 seconds later it turns orange and just sits at the yellow triangle, till the battery dies or i turn it off so yea :/

You should install the android sdk and use either fastboot or adb to control you KF. If nothing else helps reflash using fastboot.
Before you read my problem plz note that i am only 16 and i have very little knowledge about anything related to rooting.
I rooted my phone a month ago because i wanted to use Xmod for Clash of Clans. I tried using Kingroot but it didnt work so i installed TWRP using Odin through my pc. After that i flashed SuperSU and the phone got rooted.
I didnt want xmod anymore so i decided to unroot my phone. I wanted to install the stock recovery and i read that i can do this by flashing the recovery.img file using Flashfy. So when i flashed it the app said that i need to reboot my device. So i pressed reboot and the screen went blank. But it didnt reboot. The screen that says Samsung Galaxy J7, which comes whenever i reboot or restart my phone, shows up but doesnt change. It also says "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" on top of the screen. It started coming when i installed TWRP. Nothing happened when i long pressed the power button. So i took out the battery, put it back and did 3 things:
1) Switching it on using the power button,
2) Directly going to recovery, and
3) Putting it for charging without switching it on.
The same screen comes everytime. PLEASE tell me what has gone wrong as soon as possible and if there is a way to fix this. Thanks a lot in advance.
