Hardee's App - Huawei MediaPad X2

I use to be able to check in at any Hardee's location with my Honor X2 but app can't find my location anymore when using phones data... When I'm on wifi it will find my nearest location but I'm too far to check in... I can use "Fake GPS app" to check in though but would prefer the correct way to check in... My GPS is turned on and set to high accuracy... I'm on Kangvip b211... App hasn't worked properly since 5.1.1

I read that one of the advantages of the original B201 update for the 702 model is a local adjustment for gps to the area where 702 mainly is sold.
If you have a 702 and swap to the b201, this could solve the problem.
I also noticed a error on only gps mode. It's about 20-40 m away from the point where our should be. Turning on usage of wlan and gsm for localization corrects this on my 701.
I don't know if this is a software bug, or a hardware issue.

AL10 Location Service in Europe/Germany/Netherlands problem

Hey guys,
I'm already on the road, so writing from mobile.
I realised problems with the location service in my AL10 352 (kang).
My Mate 8 only finds a location when GPS services are fully activated (high accuracy mode)
The power saving mode (battery saving) does not work at all and even the google location history is underlining the problems.
How can I solve it?
Many thanks in advance!
Jake
Okay, in the train I had some time.
I've found out it has something to do with the networklocation.apk because it's linked to baidu or so.
I've tried unifiednlp but it's not able to 'bind to system', even with the proper xposed module.
I also noticed I have nowhere a networklocation.apk. It schould be in system/apps or system/priv-apps.
Anyone an idea?
New update so far...
My Google Play Services is not requesting for "Location". I also can't revoke it in the permission manager because "Location" is not listed there.
If anyone could check it on his Mate 8, would be great. Not sure if this is right.
Also logcat is giving me this:
GCoreFlp: No location to return for getLastLocation()
Additionally the app Network Info II says Location Service is disabled when my GPS is in powersave mode.
UnifiedNLP reports "network-based location" is not enabled.
I already rolled back to a previous Google Play Service version (not mixing it up with GPS ^^) and reinstalled Google Maps (in the hope it communicates with the play services...)
Nothing fixed it.

Nokia 3 GPS won't fix

Hello all, I got a brand new Nokia 3 couple of days ago and today I enabled the location but it doesn't work. The location in the map is jumping like crazy. Even in the country with open sky I am not able to get the accuracy better than 50 metres. The location sometimes improves for couple of seconds but then seemingly resets to the original large error of 100 metres. Battery saver is always off, Location mode: High accuracy.
I tried the following steps:
1) turn Location off and on
2) turn Airplane mode on and off
3) turned the phone off and on again
4) updated Google maps, cleared Google maps cache
5) installed GPS Test app and it shows that the satellite s get poor signal 13 visible, 6 used but only orange quality, no green. Even outside city on flat terrain. An the satellites occasionally disappear.
6) turned of Battery optimization for GPS Test app, Google maps.
Are there any steps you would suggest before I take it back to the shop? Any help is appreciated!

So I tried some more steps following the guide at "Technobezz - How To Fix Android GPS Issues" but with no sucess:
7) run Google Maps in Safe mode
8) clear GPS related apps cache data
9) clear all apps cache data
10) wipe cache partition using recovery mode
None of these additional steps led to success. The GPS position is still hopping like crazy.
I got pointed to a wider problem on another Android forum. The issue is likely due to the use of the Mediatek MT6737 chipset. Mediatek chipsets are infamous for GPS problems for several years. I was not aware of that when buying Nokia 3 as it is my first Android phone. There are many Youtube videos suggesting fixes for various Mediatek based phones, but none of these actually work on my phone or they require root access.
I am confused by the fact that NONE of the reviews I have read had ANY complaint on the GPS performance, except the one at "Trusted Reviews":
GPS proved wildly innacurate, often pinning my location a few streets away in Google Maps.

The quoted behavior is basically what I am seeing with my Nokia 3.
This is especially worrying because I had absolutely no issue with my previous budget windows phone. There are no complaints on the GPS quality whatsover. Are the reviewers even trying the GPS outside? Or is this a "standard" behavior on Android phones?
Can any Nokia 3 owner confirm their GPS works flawlessly? There is no hopping, the get GPS FIX quickly and don't lose it?
Am I the only one with my Nokia 3 being defective and should I return it back to the shop? My Nokia 3 GPS (Mediatek MT6737) is constantly getting weak GPS Fix losing it in a few seconds just to get it back for a short period of time rendering it useless!
Hi,first sorry for my English.
I have the same issue with GPS, I return my phone back to customers service, now i recovered it, ans they said "problem solved" . I try the gps 5 min later with google map, and they solved nothing...i have the exact same issue, it is hopeless. I plan to go back again to the customer service.
I had this issue wit nokia 8. On the Nokia forum ( link below ) there are other cases ( at least for Nokia 8 ).
Unfortunately, I returned my phone.
In addition, there is no Nokia response up to this moment regarding this issue that seems to be cross model.

Hi, I'm having the EXACT same problem on my new Nokia 5. Worse is that I'm a surveyor by profession, so imagine using a phone with messed gps. I've tried all "fix gps issues" suggestions I can find, still not working. I'm definitely returning the phone!
P.S: there is also the really annoying LOUD push message beep at the end of calls. It's so LOUD and ANNOYING, like wth?! Turned off sound notifications I can find, still there.
UPDATE: Nokia GPS Issue FIXED!!
So I did some more digging around and I found this Nokia Forum discussion topic on the same GPS issue: (oops, I'm new on XDA, seems I can't post outside links. No link to Nokia forum then). Anyway, thanks to user1511570178684 who somehow traced the problem to Android 7.1 Battery Optimisation settings. In his/her words: "...Yesterday I disabled battery optimization for LocationServices which seems fixed the issue. Also earlier I disabled optimization for Maps. The Optimization menu is a drop-down in the top right corner under the Battery... One or the other had fixed the problem."
Basically, go to Settings > Battery; from drop-dwn menu at top right, select Battery Optimisation. You'll likely be shown "Not Optimised" list first; change the list to "All Apps" (from drop-down menu), then look for 'LocationServices' and 'Maps'. Change their options to "Don't Optimise". That's it, GPS issue fixed!
My GPS (on Nokia 5) is now working ok. GPS test still takes a minute or two to locate satellites, but accuracy is much better ( up to <5m in open sky), and no more jumping around like Mikey mouse.
I also changed my Location settings to Device Only, so it uses only GPS signals in positioning (instead both GPS, WiFi, network signals, etc, which may introduce errors - never mind that "High Accuracy" nonsense).

I'm also facing the GPS problem with my two-months-old Nokia 5 - the phone doesn't see any satellites. I sent it to Nokia Mobile Care to fix the problem, they returned the phone after a week as "Returned unrepaired - fault not found"
NOT FOUND? Have they even tested it? I doubt that...
Now I tried what you wrote here but it still isn't working I will never buy a Nokia phone again. Two months and no GPS

Why my HTC One M9 GPS didn't work / not locking on any satellites?

So i just bought used HTC One M9,on
The seller said that the HTC One M9 is used and its an international ex,
while my region is indonesia.
Everything on the phone is right, but when i use navigation app like waze and google maps its went wrong. the gps is keep on searching and give me approximate location.
theres 3 option on gps, the high accuracy, battery saving, and device only.
when i use the high accuracy / battery saving, its give me my location but still an approximate location.
and when i use device only or gps only its not showing my location at all.
i have test the gps using app gpstest and anything same like that from play store
it shows that my device see the satellite but not locking from any satellite and the signal all red or poor.
i have done pressing the agps button to download and reset, still no change.
anyone can help me?
my device is totaly stock, not rooted or flash. i don't understand either what is rooted and flash or something like custom rom.
thank you guys

Xperia XZ Android Oreo – Can’t find location when Location is set to “Battery saving”

Hi guys,
The weirdest thing is happening to me since I upgraded to Android Oreo (I haven’t noticed this at all before the upgrade):
• If I set Location to “High accuracy”, I can’t find a fix while indoors (I was able to find a fix indoors before the upgrade) but I can find a fix outdoors
• If I set Location to “Battery saving”, I can’t find a fix even when outdoors (I was able to find a fix indoors and outdoors before the upgrade)
• If I set Location to “Device only”, I can’t find a fix while indoors (obviously) but I can find a fix outdoors.
This means that the GPS module is working but somehow Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular network location is not being reported back.
Is this happening to you guys on Android Oreo as well? If not, any clues on what’s going on?
Thanks in advance!
Not happening here, but this could probably mean that yours and any other wi-fi hotspot around you is not mapped by google, so they can't be of any use regarding your location.
Yes, that could very well be the case if not by the fact that it worked before at the same location with the same networks/Wi-Fi.
Any other clues?

Go somewhere else like in the middle of your town and test it again.

Set up altitude, but "Network unavailable"?

When I selected "Calibrate now" after few seconds show up notification: "Network unavailable"
and next time will show: "Can't get a sea level air pressure reading for your location. Enter manually?"
Data/internet connection working on News, Weather apps. This behavior is same, WiFi or bluetooth connection.
Does anybody have any idea how to fix this bug?

Hi,
I had the same issue. Uninstalled the Wear application from phone and installed again.
Bingo..
Hope this helps.
I'm having this issue too. Ive tried reinstalling everything and resetting the watch. Nothing seems to be fixing it. Looking at the reviews of the alt-barometer app in the Samsung store seems to suggest the issue is widespread.
Have the same issue too. I think it's a problem of the defined server in the app which doesn't respond anymore. They should update the app...
Hi, i have exactly same problem after update to tizen 4.0. Have you some solutions?
Same problem , too. Last update 14.2.2019
I have noticed today at my job that I was at 188m, and when it worked I was less than 50m.
Same thing after reinstalling "wear", maybe worst, I didn't had backup
Same problem here after Tizen 4.0.
Same problem. Also affects Hiking Activity in S-Health on the watch. (It can't detect altitude so whole activity is broken showing "0km walked", "--" instead altitude and wrong calories). Tried every combination of reseting watch (with and without backup restore), reinstalling wear app and all plugins on phone and reinstalling altimeter app on watch. Even reflashed firmware via NetOdin. Also tried disabling adblock on phone in case some url gets blocked. No difference).
I'm also starting to think this have to do with predefined altitude server altimeter is contacting being down and not responding.
I had enough fiddling with this but if someone is determined they can try downgrade back to 3.0.0.2 to see if problem persist. Or try debugging the watch to see what is actually happening behind the calibrate request. Maybe even use packet sniffer.

It must really be a widespread problem. The same here after the update to Tizen 4.0.2. I have made several hard resets of the watch, the only thing I have not done is phone hard reset. Not going to suffer this not knowing if it helps. I was solving more problems, so I have made several hard resets of the watch. For instance, SOME of the incoming calls were not vibrating on the watch. But after the first hard reset after the update the altimeter started working the second day I think!!! I thought it was really an issue connected with unavailibility of a server somewhere. I was solving more important issues, so I have made other hard resets and since then the altimeter jut won't work...
Same problem after upgrade to Tizen 4. Tommorow i trying downgrade to Tizen 3.

I had the same problem. After several tries is now working. All I had to do was set the location to "high precision " on my phone (note 8) and after 4-5 times the watch will update automatically. Also I went outside.
I tried today and a get altitude measurement! I turned off and on my location on phone. But... I got lucky only one time. I tried 5 minutes later, and get "network unavailable"... Strange...

I had the same experience today. At 1 a.m. of our local time (Europe) I got one calibration but since then - nothing. It makes me believe that the problem is not in our watches or phones but on the side of a server somewhere. Were they testing something?
It seems that reinstalling the app would help. I have done it, and for now it's all good
again, network not available , one or two updates and gone again.
Another +1 here - I have just discovered that my S3 Frontier is doing exactly the same thing. Uninstalling the companion app on the phone and reinstalling it hasn't worked for me, the intermittent nature of it (based on previous posts) would suggest some back end network issue at the end of whoever provides that data.

As I posted before, same happened to me the first time after the update to Tizen 4
I had to turn location to high accuracy and had to go outdoors, and after 4-5 tries the altitude is calibrated and working perfectly now. One thing I noticed is that you need to set your phone location on all the time with at least "device only" option.

Seems that the data is provided by the android location services, not by your data/wifi; in this case you need to have the location on with "device only", seems to solved my problem, BTW I havent noticed more battery drain than using "battery save" mode.

Thanks for this tip - I missed your earlier comment so repeating it here again is useful and does seem to provide a work-around. Have a "Thanks" on me.
Since this is a recent change I wonder if Samsung got their device class confused and are trying to get the watch to aquire a "true" GPS fix rather than using the phone if available, but got it wrong with the latest build so now the watch has acquired a dependency it didn't have before.
My S3 has Wi-fi (but turned off) and no carrier / network (ie mobile phone) support and that used to work perfectly well with my phone's location services set to "High Accuracy" over the Bluetooth link which should surely be enough for any non mission critical consumer device since that uses network location, Wi-fi and GPS. I can see why someone might want a high degree level of accuracy on their watch but then surely the watch should be acquiring GPS itself which is why I wonder if Samsung were trying to be smart and got their wires crossed.
I will check out the battery usage implications of restricting my location to GPS at a later date, but I am mostly indoors and a) don't use the altimeter all that much and b) won't get much of a GPS fix in the concrete and steel bunker that is my office so I am expecting it to be an absolute battery sucker.
Thanks again for the tip about changing the location services on the phone.

My S3 is exactly the same as yours, and I dont have wifi or GPS on either, it gets the location straight from the phone, I checked it and when I go to altitude on my watch I can see that the icon of "searching location" goes on in my phone.
I am pretty sure that the GPS of the watch doesnt work by itself because I use it to run everyday (with my phone) and is tracking the metrics and altitude just well, also the location is locked and working, I run 5kms per day and I get 3 and a half days of battery and when I run with the watch alone I can get 1 and a half day (cause GPS and Spotify).
BTW, where I live/work there are no high structures or buildings miles around, maybe it means faster location.
Regards.
I found solution that help me in reddit: "Switch on "location history" in Google account. Should help"
