This is a solution I found and use on a daily basis on my phone since systemless root is not being recognized by Secure Settings and they can't be used to automate mobile data switching anymore.
1. In "profiles" add new event > "display off"
2. Add new task and create the following actions:
a. add Task > wait 10 seconds (or any other amount of time you want it to wait before executing next actions)
b. add Task > if > "%SCREEN" ~ "off" (this will check if you didn't turn the screen back on, so it doesn't disable your data/wifi/ect unnecesserily)
c. add Code > Run Shell > "svc data disable". Tick "Use Root" box (this will disable your mobile data connection)
d. add Net > WiFi > off
e.. add > Code > Run Shell > "settings put system screen_brightness 1". Tick "Use Root" box (this will set the lowest screen brightness. For some reason, if I use Display > Display Brightness action and set it to 0 it doesn't actually set the lowest possible brightness).
Enjoy
thank you dude.I tryied also with gravitybox and same happens.I hope we won't have other similar conflicts with systemless root...

With no programs open, just the today screen i get this gprs popup all the time. It doesn't connect, and I don't want it to either. It just keeps on trying to connect all the damn time
Any clues what I can do to disable it?
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab > Pull down menu and choose "Connection Established" > Uncheck "Display message on screen" > Press "Ok"

Click to collapse
Thank you! This has been bothering me too.
Source of the connection request.
Ideally, you should try to find out which application is trying to connect to the net. and disable that, the most common one for me, is Windows Live Hotmail when trying to sync. if you have it on automatic sync. (As Items Arrive). There are many other app. that require constant connection to the Internet.
the 3th party firewall program around got that option i believe
For example:
Homescreen > Menu > Settings > Phone Storage.
I want an app that I could create a shortcut on the homescreen to immediately launch to "Phone Storage".
This is just an example. What i'm truly trying to accomplish on a Droid X is:
Homescreen > Menu > Settings > Battery & Data > Data Usage and then turn off the 3G by unchecking "Data Enabled".
I tried "Extended Controls Widget" but that doesn't seem to have the option to create a shortcut to do that.
*Edit*
Nevermind, I found in ADW where to do this. You add a shortcut and choose ADW Activity.
how do I hide tasker's notification that appears when a profile is currently active? I just want it to work silently behind the scenes. I looked at preferences and I can't see it.
thanks
Just go to preference > monitor > and untick run in foreground
Hi,
Very often when I want to install an application I have this message "screen overlay detected, please disable" that appears and keeps me from continuing. I am forced to go into the settings, to disable one by one this authorization for each application. Then I go back on the new application to complete the installation. Then I return to the screen overlay management to accept it again for each application. It takes ages :crying:
Is there not a way to disable all at once and then reactivate all at once ?
Thank you
Hi and welcome to assist,
Try this steps:
Go to Settings > Apps > 'Advanced' (near the bottom) - under 'Advanced' subsection, access 'Draw over other apps'. Here, individually change the settings of ALL the apps to 'No' (in other words, disable 'Permit drawing over other apps' for every app). Once done, you can freely change apps' permissions in Settings > Apps > [name of app] > 'Permissions' without the annoying 'Screen overlay detected...' warning popping-up every time. Once you have correctly changed the permissions (for every app that's not working properly), you should return to individually change each of the apps' settings to 'Yes' in the 'Draw over other apps' section (in other words, re-enable 'Permit drawing over other apps' for every app).
Good luck,
Razvan
How to disable notifications of "Time to get moving", "Well done", "You have achieved 6000 steps", etc.. on the watch. I cannot find any to disable them with the watch itself or the apps.
Thank you in advance.
Settings button > scroll round to Samsung Health > scroll to the end > Settings > scroll down to Health Nudges > unselect all the alerts
You can also turn off Water target / caffeine target / Auto HR (heart rate) in Settings, plus other stuff to do with Samsung Health.
Done!
Thank you very much.
Good help above, but appears out of date, as Samsung has changed the name of this setting to "inactive time alerts".
Here's an update as of Nov 2018.
Apps button (bottom right)> scroll and select Samsung Health > scroll to the end > Settings > scroll down to Inactive Time Alerts > unselect the option from green to grey
