Hi I just order one of these and I can't seem to find a thread on sd card performance. How is the overall performance with using a sd card as opposed to nothing and what is the best way to use them. I am mainly going to use it for pictures, videos and music.

Unless you use it as adoptable storage for whatever you mentioned this card is gonna do just fine.
It is awesome. I'm using it. Moved from a 64gb evo. Noticeable performance improvement.

Are you using any roms? What about saving to a SD card? If so, what speed class is your SD card? Sometimes even stupid small things can cause headaches.

By any chance, do you have very little space on the storage that the video is being saved to?
No roms and its stock I have it going to my external SD card 16 gig class 2. The card is empty have nothing on it

Maybe it has something to do with the speed of your sd card (class 2). If you can replace that card with a class 6 or 10 and see if the problem clears.
Anyone else having problems playing music from your sd card? I'll play somewhere from 2-8 songs and the music will stop and I get the "SD Card Unexpectedly Pulled" message. (no it's not the sd card, I've tried it with multiple sd cards)

Don't take any chances and get it warranty replaced ASAP. Even if it starts working again it might give you trouble down the line. The bottom line is that it shouldn't be doing what you say it is doing at all. This shows the importance of the warranty because stuff like this will happen no matter which phone you have, especially with early releases.
^+1. You've paid for an expensive phone, that's not acceptable, regardless. Just get it replaced anyways. Unless it's a standard issue everyone's experiencing, which I doubt.
Take a photo screen shot next time it happens as proof. You should be able to walk into ATT and get it replaced.

Replace it.

Try transcoding the songs or another player?
But yeah the sandisk class 4 32gb microsd seems to die for most ppl on their s3. One of mine died

While not as good as having an SD slot - this could be of some help. I'm sure you wouldn't leave it hanging all the time and most likely have to remove it to charge if your not using wireless charging.

I opted for the 64 GB version ... just to save from extra equipment. But there is a wireless flash drive option too.

I promise I'm not griefing but rather curious.... I am extremely satisfied with the 100 gigs of storage you get with OneDrive when you buy the Note 5. Any of my large files I have put in the cloud or if they are videos I either upload them to social media or put them on my PC for editing and don't forsee an issue with the 32 gigs of onboard storage. I guess I'm just wondering what sort of data an SD device like this accounts for due to a lack of expandable memory.

Store the backup on usb via USB otg cable.
I use Google to back up all my pictures and videos so I keep those off the device too.

If you like to have multiple backups, OTG is recommended indeed as stated above. Can also keep one compress backup on your phone for emergency, and place the rest on cloud.
Switch out your music for those music apps...tmobiel mobile freedom = no data penalty.
Photo on cloud. clear out download folders....should keep you good.

It basically is the missing micro SD card option in the phone. Whatever you could do with it in the phone, you can do with it outside the phone.
Hi is there anyone suffering from gallery photo delay? When i open the gallery app all photos seems blurred then it would take a while to become clear its really annoying.

Are you saving photos to sd card?
Yes photos to sdcard has delay when opening blurry then it takes sometime before it becomes clear.
Sent from my LG-H871 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
What's the speed class of the sd card?
Class 10
Sent from my LG-H871 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
You using google Photos or another app?
Are you sure that this is 10th class card? This class isnt good for today. UHS-I or higher is standard now.
Any class is going to be slow if you're saving to an sd card but especially a class 10.
I have exactly the same thing on mine. I think its the xreality engine kicking in make your photos look better. Its done this on every xperia I've owned. It only takes a moment but its noticeable. This is with a class 10 UHS3 card.
Yes but when i use my lg g6 using the same card it doesnt delay, photos are shrap and instant.

Nope i dont touch the save location. If i use the same card to my lg g6 its fine it doesnt have delay in opening photos but when i use the same card to my xxzp everytime i open gallery app it has some delays before the photos becomes clear.
