Help - General Questions and Answers

I have xperia t2 ultra.. The problem started all of sudden Today..The power button does not work and I cant wake up the phone unless I connect it to pc or somebody is calling.. I can only restart it by pressing the up volume key with the power button...
Is this a hardware issue?

Yes,maybe your hardware that connect to your power button have an issues, mine is too,but not as bad as your issues,my power button is just weakened, then i sent my tab to service center, they fix the hardware that connect to power button..maybe you can bring your phone to service center too, because they're specialist..
I suggest you some apps that may help you:
-Power Button to Volume Button
-Gravity Screen
-Quick Buttons

Stuck Power Button

I have an HTC FUZE and I dropped it in a puddle of water and now the power button is constantly activated even though I am not touching the button. The button still clicks fine but again, the power button is always active. I cannot manually put my phone to sleep, nor can I turn it off using the power button.
My question is, could I remap the power button (long and short) to another button say the PPT button?
thanks
help anyone?
I had a similar problem with my first Fuze and had to get a refurbished replacement from AT&T. In my case the sticking power button caused constant rebooting of the phone. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I was unable to do anything to unstick the button.
if the power button is just nt working, you can still put your phone to sleep with third paty softwares like psShutXp. But I don't think it is possible to remap it to a different hardware key afaik.

Volume UP is not working properly

Hello!
The button of Volume UP of my B68M phine works up to 50%, i.e. :
If I press it once brings to Homescreen and if instead I do a long press the button works fine (the volume goes to max.).
There is no doubt that the button itself is not faulty (it would not go home).
Then I did a remap keys, exchanging the Camera button with Volume UP button.
For the remapping I modified the files .kl in \system\usr\keylayout
In this way the Volume works 100% BUT.....if I press the volume button, the camera is not activated and the phone brings to HomeScreen again.
It seems that the Volume UP button is connected permanently to HomeScreen.
Problem of electrical ground or ROM ?
Can someone help me ?
Thanks in advance
Gil

[Q] power button issue even after remapping

hi friends:
i have an old infuse 4g which has the known power button issue so i remapped the volume_up button as power and power button as volume.
the remapping is working fine and i can see that the volume up button works like power and power button works like volume_up.
but sometimes it still power-off my phone when i touch or press power-button. during this time, i dont see an option to poweroff or reboot but the screen becomes black and i see samsung logo, basically its like somebody pulled the plug.
can somebody explain why is this?
many thanks in advance

How to disable power button

yesterday my power button died, but I was able to turn on my N5 somehow. after, I've enabled the double tap to sleep on the statusbar and on the lockscreen and volume buttons now wake the device, but I wasn't able to remap the power button and if I accidentaly press it, I don't know what will happen. So, there's any method to completely disable the power button? I've tried with gravity box but there isn't any option to do this.
someone knows how to disable the power button from the .kl files in system/usr/keylaout?
And then, can I use the volume buttons to turn on the device when it's off or I have to keep it on forever?

Replacement Power Button

My power button doesn't have the feedback anymore when pressing down like it does normally. Sometimes I have to press it again to have it actually work.
Has anybody ever replaced the power button? Is there soldering involved?
