Good Luck!

Our installer will be available on the Play Store in the coming weeks
I hope that the S2+ is one of the first new devices that is supported by CMod. So our well doing developer's can relax a little bit.

BBS is free for XDA members and has a 4.4 version just released. I'm using it now. Check the Android Apps forum
You can use xposed to get the battery stats app. Just look on the portal.

No such thing as best. It comes down to personal preference. I look for stability and good battery life and therefore using aosp Temasek unofficial cm11 v50.1 and temasek kernel.
XDA is a great source with loads of info that can help you find what suits your needs.

After I installed a custom Rom I didn't like it so it I went back to my stock Rom rooted...now I can't download or save to my internal sdcard. Only thing I can do is download and install from play store.
Any suggestions.....
