The member Kolda_CZ was able to get the Google Dialer working on S6 without root permission, I tested it on my LG G3(d855) and so far it's working great!
BUG: incoming call, the screen won't turn on until I shake it or press the power button.Also thanks to still_living714 for testing it and give us info about the bug...

sorry thought it was a zip file. Well I installed it and it seems to be working fine,made a phone call and everything worked. Will keep testing.....

Everything seems to work just fine except the sensors.

If you have root just go to system/priv-app/lgincallui folder rename lgincallui.apk to lgincallui.bak....

i hope this can be unlocked, rooted, etc,. otherwise, i will never buy a lg phone, they discontinued this phone, and appears it cant be update to nougat..

The dump includes the bootloader partition, so there might be process in unlocking, but the scene is dead so I dont know.
With the prices drastically falling on the flex 2 there may be some renewed interest? I sure hope so...

First off, no there is no guide. Just use Linux to extract RAW-Files out of the BINs with the provided hexadecimal position in the filelist and find out the filetype to open it, but you might have to decrypt them with the leaked public keys from LG.

Strange... Try re-downloading. i added a mirror for each download in the OP (MEGA).
If still the same.. what version of AOD are you currently running ? The edited ones are (v2.6.774) if you have a higher one it might have trouble installing over it

Mirror apk still gives the same error . And after uninstalling the updates of the aod service , now gives package conflict error . Maybe it just needs to be modified the latest apk , as it is the one that did not gives package conflict .
Anyways , it is not so important for me , so thank you for developing for our device :good:

Okay bro sorry I couldn't help.. I think it's something to do with Samsung's recent security patch updates for non rooted users I'll let you know if anything changes.
Hmm I wonder if I should make s7 aod editions as well? Do you get package conflict error when updating s7 AOD manually? (I.e downloading apk from apkmirror and installing)

Unfortunately I get the "same name app" conflict error...
If I install the unamended AOD apk I attached in my earlier post, it installs just fine.
I don't know what are the changes you do to the apk file, but it seems that one of them triggers the conflict error...

hmm i'm not sure.. it must detect it on stock unrooted devices. The only thing that is different about the apk is the file size which can't be helped. Which is understandable as AOD is a system app..
