Batt cal issues after stock Rom install - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Flashed official htc 5.18 ruu onto one x Evita. No issues during flash. Phone operates normal, as far as I can tell, except battery life/stats. Done extensive reading on resetting battery stats, but for some reason, I am unable to perform any of them. I boot into fastboot, then recovery, and wait for the red triangle, only it never comes. Selecting recovery brings htc white screen, then the black screen with image of phone in download mode (phone with green circle), and half a minute later phone reboots. Holding volume up and pressing power with green circle doesn't work.
I also tried holding vol up and down together and holding power button. Held that for nearly five minutes. Phone did nothing. Did have it plugged in using the htc charger that came with phone.
Currently doing the drain and charge while off method. 4 hours and no green light yet.
While phone was on, it showed 99% charge continuously, and would flash dead battery red, shut down after using.
I have reflashed the ruu twice, same results. I'm assuming I need to access the recovery menu to wipe the cache, but again, for some reason it's not letting me. Or, am I doing it wrong???

[Q]Desire s won't power on

My ds won't turn on, when I press power button it just vibrate 3 times and orange led. When I put it on charger it shows that is charging (orange led, and after a while green). When I press vol - + power it vibrate 5 times and show green led. Nothing on the screen.
I left it over night without battery, and than put battery in and left it like that for few hours, and after that it starts and work normal, but I need to put SIM card and restart it, and again same thing, it wont start.
Does anyone knows how to solve this issue, because I don't want to wait whole day when I restart my phone in future?

Thank you for answering, but it's not that (I already check that), it works just fine when it power up, but when I turn it off, I need to wait 8 - 10 hours to start it again.

[Q] Phone Bricked?

I am using Virtuous Butterfly with the kernel that came with the ROM. I was trying to check my Whatsapp when i realised it wont reload, i tried to turn off wifi and it also wont turn off so I decided to restart the phone by pressing the restart button. I went to take a shower and came back with the thing at the boot screen. I tried the hold down power and volume down trick but it just wont restart this time!
I tried to use the command "adb reboot bootloader" and nothing happened, I unplugged the cable and it is still stuck on the screen. When I press the power button, the screen will turn off and when I press it again, it will turn on, just like standby mode. I am downloading the RUU now and I will try to flash it, hope that works! If not I will just wait for the battery to die and try to charge it and boot it up again.
Anyone knows how to fix this? Cuz the power and volume down thing just wont work and the phone doesnt have a removable battery
Stay push on the power button instead it restart (with holding the low volume button), the leds will blink and it will boot on bootloader.

I had a similar experience with my first One X (International) slept in the afternoon and woke up an hour later for it to be stuck at HTC welcome screen, at first I could enter bootloader, but no RUU available at the time for recovery, it eventually wouldn't even start after charging to full, just black screen....
I was told my motherboard was bad....
Anyway I hope its not the same for you, try charging to green light and turn on. If you can get to bootloader try reinstalling RUU if possible...
Now the phone wont even start after the battery died No LED when charging no response when pushing power button. Only response is when I hold power and down, the buttons would blink. Is it doomed?
stay your phone on charge for 1 hour and stay push on the power button (it should start after the blinking)

Thank you! It saved my phone! Its now booting properly and I can go to fastboot and recovery without any problems, I wonder what happened though.
I am glad to see it worked.
You know what to do if it happens again now.

[Q] [Help] MYSTERY-Showing Full Charge but Will only turn on while charging (Kinda)

Sorry if I explain this horribly, will try and be as descriptive as i can.
Was using CM 10.2. Had a problem, which I was on the way to fixing. I was having an internal storage fault which was fixed by using stock recovery, could then flash TWRP back and everything worked fine. Then one day it all decided to die. Phone would just get past the HTC logo screen and would then die before booting Android. I could however get into bootloader/fastboot/recovery ok. However could not mount internal storage-windows wasn't picking it up when plugged in, so flashed stock recovery again and this seemed to make it mountable again. So was able to put CM 10.2 back, so re-flashed CM with no joy, wiped caches and data etc, still nothing. Didn't want to boot Android. Boot.img was flashed and everything. Went back into bootloader, however upon unplugging the USB cable, the phone turned off.
Tried turning the phone back on and it just showed the HTC logo screen for a slit second and died.. then showed it again for a split second. Does the same for the recovery screen if you hold down Vol Down and power - shows it for a split second and then dies.
But if you plug the charger in (orange light comes on) and turn it on, the orange light goes off.. stays off for a moment..and then comes back on, phone does not turn on. BUT if you press the power button and the orange light turns off and then you quickly hold the Vol Down and power button at the same time (before the orange light comes back on) it will bring up the bootloader.. and it stays on. I can try booting and it shows the HTC logo screen as normal but then turns off again before booting android (same problem i was having before the charger issue). I can go into TWRP recovery no problem, i did factory reset for good measure while there but the moment you remove the charger, it turns off. Its like the battery is totally dead but TWRP shows it as 90+ %
If you leave it to charge completely and the orange light turns green. It WILL bring up the HTC logo screen as normal (not for a split second) but eventually turns off again and doesn't boot android. Green light then turns orange again and it only shows the screens for a split second.
I've flashed this phone with a couple of ROMS before and have had my share of issues but nothing like this, i'm stumped. I think Android not booting up and the charger issue could be unrelated but I could be wrong, never faced this kind of problem. Been looking around, cant find an issue like this, i fear it could be a hardware issue as supposed to a battery calibration issue.
I would like to drain the battery completely and give it a full charge just to see what happens but i cannot keep the phone on without it charging, so cannot drain the battery...
Any help/advice/suggestions would be much appreciated.

I tried to understand as much as i can and it seems like a corrupted BL/recovery .Have u tried flashing your stock rom?If there is still a problem , then it may be a hardware issue . Try contacting HTC service centre if it's a hardware issue.
If it's not a hardware issue then try flashing some other room and recovery.

Boot loop, dead battery, no recovery

Thanks for any help in advance.
My Nexus 5 device is unable to boot stock or recovery image. It's a locked bootloader, and stock ROM from my wireless carrier. I charged it with a 2 amp capable charger.
Symptoms: preceding the failure , there were strange slowdowns, apps crashing, and inability to charge the battery over the course of a day. When the battery finally died, that was the last I saw my Operating System. Now, when it's plugged in to power, it indicates full charge. If the power button is pressed it will show the Google logo, then cycle back to the battery charged icon. If the power button is held, the battery logo is skipped and Google logo displayed repeatedly. If the down volume button is pressed in addition to power, I get the screen where I can chose the recovery loader, but then the process of Google logo and reboots persist.
If nothing else, I'd like to grab built-in SD card memory contents and strip out a bitcoin key with about $40 on it that I didn't get to back up before it failed.
What have I tried so far: basically everything above to generate those symptoms. I also tried opening the back, and pulling one of the top cover and unplugging the battery entirely. No effect.
Cheers all. :good:
what happens when you connect it to your pc?
Possible power button issue? You could open the phone, remove the plastic power button from the phone housing, reconnect everything, and then try to boot the phone.
When I connect it to the PC, it goes through the same fully charged loop until I hit the power button for 2S, then it boots. If I hold power, it boot loops; if I leave it alone it fully charged loops (regardless of battery being attached or not). If I remove power button and depress it manually, I get the same loop.
This is a refurb from Google, about 8 months old.

S7 won't boot, blue LED always on.

Just some minutes ago my S7 froze because of Focus Gallery App. I don't exactly know what it did but the phone did not respond any more.
So pressing the power button did not bring back the phone either. After searching for a bit I found a way to simulate a bettery disconnect by pressing Volume Down + Power Button.
The Phone came back up and displayed the initial boot logo. Also the blue LED is on. But nothing happens from here on. I do not come to the "Samsung" boot animation and the phone simply
does nothing. Retriying Volume Down + Power Button doesn't seem to help too. I tryed all button combinations but nothing brings the phone back.
I also cannot enter the recovery menu. So no chance to reset to default settings.
I am running a stock Android on the phone. Nothing was done by me. No custom ROM, no root, just plain Samsung Android.
Is there sill something I can do?
Edit: I just got into whats seems to be ODIN Mode??? Can I do something from here?
Oddly this happened to me last night although I may have inadvertently done it. But the only way I was able to get my phone functioning again was reflashing the OS to the phone.
How did you manage to get the phone into Odin mode? I'm having the same issue with the phone being totally unresponsive but the blue LED on.
if you can reboot your phone with the VOL Down/Power, when the screen goes black, quickly press and hold VOL Up, Home and Power. it should enter recovery. or hold Vol down, Home and Power to enter the download screen.
I have the S7 Edge (rooted, custom ROM) and it's running fine. My girlfriend's regular S7 is having the same issue though.
When she plugged it in to charge last night, she checked it a few minutes later at which point the phone had (started to) reboot. The blue notification LED was on and the screen had frozen at the 'SA' from the 'SAMSUNG' startup logo. Forced a reboot with down+power, resulting in just the blue LED (no logo this time). Phone was unresponsive (couldn't force a reboot again) so left the battery to drain overnight. The phone is completely dead today even after charging - no LED, no boot, no anything.
I'm not sure if she had the phone scheduled to perform an update overnight and it froze halfway through, but that would be my first guess. So far, no fix.
