Has anyone encountered issues with Bluetooth where the headset will spuriously, and for not reason disconnect from the GNote 5, and then reconnect.
Or.....if the headset is connected, that if you start a call, as the call starts to dial, Bluetooth will disconnect on the call, and you have to manually select Bluetooth again for the audio to get redirected to your headset?
I noticed this a few times on Lollipop, but now that the MM update has come down for the GNote 5, it happens....A LOT. Has anyone encountered this issue?
Didn't have it with lollipop, but am with Marshmallow. I'm stock too.
I been having a problem on marshmallow with audio routing. It will stay connected to Bluetooth headset but if you check audio path it has gone back to note 5 instead of Bluetooth device. You can manually switch it back or just reconnect but it's annoying to have it start playing on loud speaker with my headphones on trying to be quiet lol

Has anyone found a solution to this issue? Sprint Note 5 owner here and my phone's Audio Path switches on its own regularly. Always after I've completed a phone call and sometimes for no reason at all.

The reason I ask is because when I leave my android watch at home. The Android Wear app is constantly trying to connect unless I tell it to stop. What in turn happens is that it is constantly causing me to disconnect from my bluetooth audio devices.
Hmmm. Pebble requires the Android wear app be installed but you never have to open it.

Hey guys,
I love my nexus 5 and I have it since it launched.
But, since today, it has been acting weird.
Say I come out of a fresh reboot. It will work well for like 5 minutes, then it will lose connection to the phone carrier and say it is not charging. It will stay like that until I reboot the phone.
I was using 4.4.2 first, with xposed and some modules. The I thought I could just wipe it and it would work, which had no effect. After that, I tried installing the new cyanogenmod 11S port for the nexus 5, same issue.
Now I flashed the stock 4.4.4 rom from android oficial website, still no luck.
What should I do? I have no use for a phone like this!
Thank you guys!
I've tried flashing the radio zip for the 4.4.4 and it still the same... :/
I am getting desperate now... might need to buy another phone, which, ofc, I really did not want to do.
Which carrier? That is weird.

I live in Brazil, the carrier is VIVO.
Wierd, right?
The only guess I have now is a defective sim card, but that would not explain why it thinks it is not recharging.
At least, the recharge problem seems to be not much of a problem, since it still recharges now even saying it is not...
Is it in LTE only mode? Bad phone?

I actually did not know there is an LTE only mode.
How do I check for that?
It was set to 4G preferable, but there was no such thing as exclusive option, so I am confused.

Well, I am still with no signal at all.
Whenever I can, I will pay a visit to one of the carrier's shop and try a new sim card.

T-Mobile Galaxy note is getting a new OTA, to build no.*OH4. We don’t have proper details about the OH4 update for T-Mobile Note 5 yet, but looks like Samsung*and T-Mobile noticed something that needed quick fixing. After all, it isn’t been long since Note 5*was launched by T-Mobile and Samsung.
The full version of the*software updateis*N920TUVU1BOH4, and it runs onAndroid 5.1.1*exactly.*
For now, pick up your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 and see if you have already received an OTA notification. If not, then it’s time to tap as many times as require/you can on ‘check for update’ button under Settings > About device > Software update.
Mine updated about an hour ago. I was hoping it would activate the Samsung pay app since i was accepted into the beta program but it did not. I wonder what's changed...
From what I can tell so far at least this update has fixed the wireless charging issue I was having when using the Samsung wireless pad that came with my S6. So far its been charging to full with no issues since this update. Before it would constantly pause and never charge fully.
This should be the video calling feature http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...oday-on-the-galaxy-note-5-and-galaxy-s6-edge/

I think I saw it in a similar thread when it was first reported yesterday. Wireless charging fix and auto brightness fix.
Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
After installing the update I'm noticing that Wi-Fi performance is significantly worse than before. To the point where Wi-Fi Calling isn't a reliable way of making phone calls any more. Running a simple speedtest shows very spikey results, jitter is much higher. Tried it on multiple Wi-Fi locations.
When on LTE, service is excellent as usual. I'm stock.
Anyone else having this issue?
Anywhere in TMOs footprint using Carrier Aggregation (CA). I'm starting to see Band 12 as a default instead of Band 4.
This morning I received this notice of a new update. It doesn't say much, but is 112MB in size.

The first thing I noticed after the update was improved fingerprint recognition. I've never had issues with my thumbs not reading, but it seemed my index fingers had to be perfectly aligned in order to unlock my phone. Now they work at off angles and much quicker.
I also promptly froze the Gear VR apps since I don't want to risk battery hits from something I won't use.
Anyone use stock messaging? I'm curious if the awful delay when trying to send a message is gone.
Just a question. With the app optimization do we still need greenery? Just wondering.

Interesting; I just had my Note5 unlocked and with my AT&T SIM in, I was able to download and install the update OTA.
Happy to see all known Stagefright vulnerabilities are now addressed.

SIM cards are used to determine OTAs for Nexus devices. But you are correct that they typically don't matter for other OEMs because each carrier gets a different model number assigned to their hardware variant.

Wireless charging is being a lot more picky about where I place my phone on the pad after the update. I have to set it down a bit higher on the phone rather than centered like usual.

I'm already noticing improved battery life.
Unplugged for 3.5 hours, and in the marginal LTE/H area that I am for work, I would be down 20% or more with light usage. As of now, I'm at 89%.
Is anyone else experiencing issues with Text Messages? I'm using the stock messaging app (after I started having issues with EvolveSMS). I'll get the same text messages from someone 5 to 7 times, kind of getting annoying when my S2 vibrates and get's blown up with notifications.
Its a whopper of a download weighing in at 354.60 MB....Hit up software update now on your phones.

The question I have is, why is wi-fi calling constantly getting patched\an issue? Why does Sprint need a seemingly separate app when my last carrier (Verizon) integrated it into the phone and it worked seamlessly (I barely knew when it was in use other than perfect call quality). I've gotten crackling with wi-fi calling, and even sometimes if I hang up quick after calling on wi-fi, notification sounds won't work till I reboot. Admittedly, the newest update DOES seem better, but still not perfect.
The other portion, HD calling. Why are we restricted to only other Sprint devices and why is it so hard for Sprint to have it work vs. other carriers where it works across all carriers with a supporting phone?
Well tried to flash khongloi v6 got stuck on boot and for some reason could not get into recovery only dl mode so i used smart switch and emergency fw. And this is what i boot up too!!

Maybe you already know, but I wanted to mention in case you didn't. After months of looking into cell standby battery drain, the ONLY way I can minimize it down to basically nothing is to be in airplane mode and using wifi/wifi calling. Sad to see that cell standby drain is still an issue with 7.0 though.
Thanks for the info, I've tried mostly everything but I still couldn't fix the issue.... As of right now I'm on 25% with device idle by being 8% drained about 225 mAh and cell standby being 5% drained 149 mAh.
It might be that I didn't do a fresh install... Since I haven't heard anyone having issues with battery. So I might factory reset in a bit.
