Certain Websites Won't Load After Root - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

I have have 2 Note 5s, I rooted both of them, but mine for some odd reason will not load certain sites after the root. I can connect to wifi and load the sites, but not on my data. My husbands was also rooted the same way and can get the the sites I can't load no problem. I haven't been able to find a solution, so any help would be awesome!

You might want to try just using a vpn app. I like to use Hola vpn when sites or apps have trouble connecting to the internet.

[Q] Downloading from the market on a PC

A friend of mine wants to buy a Desire S. He won't have 3G in his subscription for the mobile phone. In other words: the phone could only have an internet-connection by using WiFi.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have a WiFi access point in his house, because his father can not stand the radiation. All the internet-connections in his house are wired, and none of the neighbours have an unsecured WiFi access point.
So, this would mean he can't use the market, because the phone can't be connected to internet at his house. Ofcourse, he could download apps at school or at one of his friend's houses, but this is a bit unpractical.
In other words; I am looking for a certain app on the PC or a website, which can browse through the Market, and download the APKs, so he can install them manually (only the free ones ofcourse).
I already checked AndroLib and Cyrket, but none of them provides a downloadlink, only a QR-code.
Is there any alternative, or is the only way of downloading apps at his house searching APKs manually by using Google?
Thanks in advance.
That's a tough one. You can browse the market from any browser. You just need to go to https://market.android.com/.
However, when you "purchase" an app, it will only send via cellular, not internet.
I wish you luck on this.
Well, you could do that on Nokia phones by accessing the 'ovi' site and using some parameters to make the site "think" you were accessing using a mobile phone. In Android Market I don't think you can do that... But there's a way to get the programs needed: with YOUR help !!!
If you have an Android phone, you can download the apps he needs and then backup them using Titanium Backup or App Backup and Reinstall. The 'apk' files will be saved in a directory and you can send them to your friend by bluetooth, or put then on a usb pen...
But... let me tell you this: the Android phone relies SO MUCH in internet data that not having wifi nor 3g subscription is almost a crime, specially having a Desire S !!!
Thanks for the help guys!
Guess I'll have to help him whenever he wants new apps, but that isn't a big deal.
At least there is another one who switched to Android
just google the file and youll get the app.

Blocked Websites

Hello.
My brother was given a tablet from his school. It comes with restrictions, so i'm trying to bypass them.
The main problem is about websites. I was able to root the tablet and delete the apks which were installed by the school but still there are some websites I cannot connect. Twitter, facebook, youtube etc. are blocked. I've checked the "20-dns.conf" file but there are no signs of restrictions there.
Any thoughts on from which file these website restrictions come from? It is in the system obviously, but it seems like i am not able to find it. I'd be grateful if you could help me.
Thanks.

Since you have rooted it.. and I guess you also have a Custom recovery, Try to flash a New rom if available.
There is no custom recovery or rom for the tablet unfortunately.

Are you sure your tablet block the site? Or your country?
Have you try app at play store, just search with tag"vpn unlimited", for example"surfeasy vpn for android" ...

I am sure it is the tablet. There is no block on my Android phone or on my pc. I am familiar with vpn apps but i don't want to use them since they really decrease your internet speed.

[Completed] Best App to bypass network behind proxy (no root)

This is for people who dont want to root their phone just for one reason i.e to bypass the apps through proxy network
then go on, continue reading.
i m not a developer of this app, i just wanted to share this because there are so many search results on internet for NON ROOT USER!!!
yes thats right. i got a new phone, few days back. and thought that i wont root this one.
so i was having a second thought of rooting this new phone, just for one reason... to bypass all my apps
in my phone through proxy.
just when i was reading about how to root Xiaomi. i came across an app
which lets you bypass all the apps in the phone with no requirement of rooting the phone.
Yes you heard it right NO ROOT!!
so the app i downloaded is 'PSIPHON' .... its free and user friendly.
here is the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.psiphon3
this app is better than sandroproxy or droid or autoproxy (no offence to the developers of this apps). this apps looses the connection when you dont use the application
and then the application like whatsapp or FB messenger wont detect proxy for sometime and its very annoying.
but psiphon app keeps the connection alive regardless of closing the social media apps and starting it after 10-30 min or so.
give it a try and let me know.
press Thanks button.
Hi there,

Internet workarounds...

Hey, guys---question for you...
I used to let my kids use androids but even when I blocked websites in parental controls, they would find ways around them by opening up web pages in apps instead of using a browser app. It was a "genius" workaround. I would have to block the app itself or delete it if I didn't want them accessing blocked websites. Apple doesn't have this problem. You can block all access to websites globally, so even if you try navigating to a blocked site in a non-web browser app, it will say that it has been restricted. It has been years since I used an android device. Is this still the case or has that issue been resolved? That was make or break for me keeping an android device.

Gallery app suspected data theft!!!

Hi all
Just reinstalled an app called No root firewall for android on my S8. And sadly as i have seen on other devices too there are hundreds of data access in and out from almost All the apps daily.
But one of them was really strange.
My stock gallery app wants to connect to
ec2-54-213-192-171.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com
Why and what i cant find anywhere!
Even damn samsung keyboard is trying to connect to an own adress.
Feels that you cant trust any damn application now a days.
They are all collecting info and spying on oss!
Skickat från min SM-G950F via Tapatalk
Edit. Found out that several other apps are trying to connect to the same site. Even non samsung apps!!! And i cant find **** on Google about it
It's possible the no root firewall is using the phone's built in VPN feature to function. The VPN could be used to set the firewall restrictions.
If this is the case their VPN could be hosted thorugh amazon's web service.
This would explain why it wouldn't need root access and why several apps, including stock, are routing to the same site.
I personally recommend NetGuard for a VPN non-root firewall. It tends to route firewalled traffic back to your device, also known as "home" or loop IP 127.0.0.1. While you can download NetGuard from the play store the GitHub apk has a few extra features.
