I'm looking at the S5 as an upgrade to my defunct Captivate Glide. Does anyone know if any cases with a built in keyboard are available for the S5? Google turns up loads, but they all seem to have been discontinued...
s5 too small.

Hey all,
I really need a keyboard to go with my SGS, I'm looking for either a "snap-on" keyboard or a case with a keyboard in, has anyone seen either floating around?
Cheers
This one doesn't clip on but it does have a stand

The Logitech diNovo mini would probably be what you're looking for but it is a little pricey.

I ordered this full size one, it's silicone, waterproof, and rolls up. To be honest I personally wouldn't go anything less than a full size as otherwise Swype and the voice input are way better.

iLuv Executive Case w/BT Keyboard.
I'm ordering one of these today and will update when I get it. You can remove the keyboard if you want and it seems like a fair price compared to the Samsung OEM keyboards.
Edit:
I guess it would help if I included a link, sorry. Here you go:

Let us know how it is. I keep hoping that Targus will make a version of their Versavu iPad2 Keyboard case for the Galaxy Tab 8.9. I know a couple people who have one for their iPad and it is a nice keyboard case.

I agree, please do let us know how it is once you receive it. I am contemplating purchasing it. Frankly, if I was being honest, one of the major factors of this case that is keeping me from getting it is the "iLuv" branding on the clip. I don't think this was a necessary move, but hey at least they made a case with a removable keyboard!
As for Targus' iPad version of the case, it looks extremely nice.
Alot more companies REALLY need to expand out and develop more Samsung 8.9 cases (there aren't that many options).
I will update if I ever receive it. I have to call Amazon customer service. I'm not sure why, I am being told it is on back order, even though if you look at the site today, it says they are in stock. This kind of stuff just completely aggravates me.

Hmm, on that note, I think I'll just stick with my original pick and go this route:
ViperTek Slim Folio Case for the Samsung Galaxy 8.9 and
Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard for Android 3.0+

I might look at that option as well. After arguing with Amazon for twenty minutes, I told them to cancel the order and refund my card. Makes no sense why my product is on back order when they still as of today show they are in stock from 6 different merchants.
How about this bluetooth case? Looks similar and cheaper cost wise?

Well in case anyone orders one of these let me save you the trouble.
The keyboard is excellent, but the case is sized for a 10" tablet. The pictures on the Amazon.com website are misleading because they show the case and the tablet being perfectly sized together, but now I'm quite sure they are pics of the 10.1 model. Basically it fits fine, but you end up with about 1" of empty space all around the 8.9 (yuck).
http://www.amazon.com/iLuv-Executive-Detachable-Bluetooth-iSK914BLK/dp/B005JK62SU
They sell these things for the iPad, Galaxy 10.1 and a few others with just the pocket that the tablet slides into being custom to each model. So if you don't mind carrying around a 10" case with a really nice BT keyboard then you might like this one. Like I said the keys are really high quality and feel nice to touch type with. I'm sending it back for a refund.
Just curious,
Iluv makes 2 type of keyboard
BLK14 is 8.9" and BLK12 is for 10.1". Pretty sure the one in amazon is 8.9"?
Logitech announced a keyboard case specific for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S (10inch)
It can be pre-ordered now for 99 USD and should be available this month.

I wonder if I should go for that or the standard Samsung Keyboard. Does anybody now when this would be available?

i'd trust logitech on making a great keyboard more than samsung.
Looks like neither are available yet. Logitech is accepting pre-orders on their site. I was really hoping to be able to find a cheapo Chinese cover, since I've been really happy with the $30 one I bought for my iPad Air, but it looks like there really aren't many keyboard covers to speak of for Android tablets. Dropping $100 on a keyboard that I'll use infrequently is a tough pill to swallow. Bummer.
Looks exactly like the cheap overpriced keyboard they sell at best buy for the tab 3. I like the way the Samsung one looks more so than what I've seen with the previous case/keyboard, I prefer the "Platinum" best buy brand over this one.
BestBuy has these in stock now. Very nice if that's what you are after. The obvious downside is the weight and limited viewing angles.

I went ahead and bought the logitech. Not real happy with it. It doubles (or more than doubles) the weight of the tablet and the keys provide no tactile feedback.

I agree with mitchellvii on this one. It is a very nice implementation, but there are obvious trade offs. I don't see how they could have made it much lighter and included a keyboard. Or, how they could have improve the keyboard feedback without making it thicker. If you want a thin and light protective case with included keyboard, this one will be hard to beat.
I looked at it. Didn't like the glossy black.
I recently purchased a Galaxy Tab S 10.5, moving from a Surface 2. I love the tablet, however I miss my keyboard! I was looking around for the galaxy tab S keyboard, and it seems stores are out of stock. At bestbuy, they had a couple of the titanium bronze keyboards (I am looking for the white) but are showing the white version as out of stock, and they can't even order me one. I noticed on Amazon they are reporting weeks/months for delivery. Is a new revision coming? Just curious if anyone knew why they aren't in the big retail stores like those I mentioned, I am new to the android scene so forgive me if this is a silly question.

I'm interested in this as well. I went ahead and purchased the Samsung titanium bronze keyboard, and it does work well. It's not as secure as I would want, but the tablet hasn't fallen out of the dock yet.
I got the Logitech Type S keyboard case and it has been wonderful. It's about the same price.

I assume you are using it with a 10.5" but just want to be sure.
When the Tab is in the keyboard is it 'retained' in any way at all?
I'm very tempted to get this but frankly I regularly pick up my laptop from underneath the 'keyboard' to carry somewhere else when I'm working and I can picture me doing this without thinking with the Tab and it falling out and smashing.....
If there's any chance of photo's with and without the Tab mounted I think many of us would be interested.
Lastly does it still have a mix of English and Korean keys?
keyboard
I have the keyboard for the titanium and... although it is nice and it matches the tab s titanium, there is a HUGE annoyance with it. You can't flip the tablet over and have it secured into the keyboard so that the screen is facing up and it be one piece. The padding on the back of the tab s does not allow the latch on the keyboard to secure the tab s. So, when I want to use it as a tablet on a client's site, I have this keyboard that I have to do something with while I am walking around taking notes and pictures. You can slide it in when the screen is up, but you get a spring action due to the padding and I've damn near flipped the thing out of my hands because of it. For $149.99, I expected a hell of a lot better from Samsung.
I am really confused on why the keyboard does not lock in to be used as a laptop type situation. How hard would it have been to make a hing of some kind to make use of those back lock ins. Just doesnt make sense to me.
I know that note5, s8, note8,... have available a physical qwerty keyboard accessory.
However I cannot see any info about it for note4, I suppose Samsung made it only for later models but what about third parties.
Does this accessory require any hardware feature/support on the device?
Otherwise maybe it would be possible to hack the note5 keyboard to make it work in note4.
What do u think?
A BT keyboard would work, saw one the other day when investigating the same thing.
Dunno about Note 5-> Note 4 mod tho.

I saw this DIY keyboard, that's nice for work at home/flight etc, but not for walking/outdoor uses.
In fact, now there is a Linux/android PDA called Gemini which looks pretty similar.
I am looking for a vertical physical keyboard
