HTC one E8 Dual SIM (M8SD) Unlock Bootloader Error - HTC One E8

Hi
I was trying to unlock my htc one e8 dual sim bootloader but i cannot get the device to be indentified as adb device. Here's what i did
1) Installed Android SDK platform tools and google usb driver and downloaded the fastboot binaries from htc dev
2)Installed htc sync manager for the drivers
3)Enabled USB debugging on phone
4)When the phone is turned on, it is shown in the adb devices list BUT as soon as i boot it in fastboot, it is not listed. I have tried installing the google usb driver , connecting it in Charging and Media Transfer mode but to no avail.
My laptop has only usb 3.0 ports
Kindly Help Me
Regards

Well... if you have the proper drivers installed, when you turn on the phone with the Vol - and PWR combination, you boot first on HBOOT, you must select Fastboot and then let the drivers get installed, thats the only way

HTC Desire Driver and S-off Help

Dunno whether this is the right forum to ask ....
I was trying to S-off but failed in step 3 after being stuck for over 40 mins or so.
I rebooted in recovery and restored thru backup. From that point onwards whenever I connect my desire the comp asks for drivers for Android phone and does not recognize USB Drivers. But it recognizes as Bootloader interface in HBOOT USB Mode.
Also I'm trying to S-off with Virtualbox method but am not able to connect my Desire rather it's not able to recognize the device.
Just for clarifications, USB debugging is normal, am able to connect as disk drive and perform other normal functions.
Any help?
Nvm... Eventually did S-off with CD method...

Need help with fast boot

I'm trying to relock my HOX to send in for warranty repair, but I'm having problems with getting my computer to recognize my HOX device in fastboot mode. Fastboot devices does not return any devices. I've tried the following suggestions/fixes posted in other threads:
-Verified fast boot mode is enabled in power settings menu
-Verified USB debugging is enabled
-Uninstalled and reinstalled HTC Sync
-Verified HTC Sync was closed, prior to using fastboot
The problem appears to be with the USB drivers not installing properly. I can't get my phone to be recognized by HTC Sync. With fastboot OFF, USB debugging OFF, HTC sync ON, I receive one of the following 3 error messages.
"USB composite device" driver not installed/recognized
"USB Mass Storage Device" driver not installed/recognized
Unknown device
If Fastboot or USB debugging is on, I get unknown device.
I've tried installing drivers through windows device manager, but that doesn't work either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Download the driver installer from HTCdev and run it.

Are you referring to the drivers installed through HTC sync or is there an alternate file of drivers?
?? There is USB debugging in boot loader screen?? You should just need adbwin and fast boot in PC folder. Hold power and volume - down. Then fastboot oem lock.. is that what our trying to do?

No, there isn't an option for USB debugging on the boot loader screen. A thread I saw said to make sure USB debugging is enable, not sure if it matters, but tried it anyway. "Fastboot oem lock" results in waiting for device, which makes sense since my USB drivers aren't recognizing the device.

Therevis no debugging option on the bootloader screen the only one is under settings developer options first option enable usb debugging.
Edit
Have you tried using a different port on your pc?
Have tried a different cord?
Edit 2
Turn off fastboot in setting then boot into bootloader. Once in bootloader make sure fastboot is highlighted then hit the power button it should then be in red if done correctly.

Make sure you download HTC drivers. Link on this thread:

And make sure you are using the OEM micro USB cable and not some third party one.

[Q] [Help] fix soft brick sensation s-off

So I was given another HTC sensation recently but this time it's bricked and I don't know how to fix it.
I have a working HTC sensation phone to test that the driver work on win 8.1
The problem
When turning on the phone it goes to a black screen with HTC logo in the middle and 4 small triangles with exclamation point in each corner, from here I have to take out the battery to turn off the phone.
Holding Power+volume down brings up this screen as well so I can't get into bootloader/hboot using pwr+volume down, same thing with plugging in phone to usb
What I've been told
phone is s-off (I assume this means it has a some sort of custom recovery)
bricked when pulling out cable during RUU while trying to return to stock
What I've done/know
windows 8.1
plugged to USB 2.0 port
USB device not recognised when plugging in phone, in device manager in Android HTC device properties
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed.

disabled driver signing security
install Android Universal Naked Driver in Win8 test mode
install Minimal ADB and fastboot utility
adb devices doesn't list any device
other adb command give "error: device not found"
fastboot command produces "waiting for device"
same with fastboot getvar cid
Thank you for any assistance you can give

[Q] HTC Desire S: Waiting for device and "device cannot start" while in Fastboot mode

[Q] HTC Desire S: Waiting for device and "device cannot start" while in Fastboot mode
So, Im trying to install a custom room on my HTC Desire S by folowing this tutorial but when I type in the commond promt "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" it just says waiting for device". On the phone it says FASTBOOT USB. On the device manager the device is recognized as My HTC and it says Cannot start device - error code 10. I installed the htc drivers, Android SDK, Google USB drivers, HTC Sync, Java Runtime Environment. ADB commands work while booted in Android. I tried two USB cables and two USB 2.0 ports and it still doesn't work. I searched forums for a solution with no luck. My HBOOT version is 2.00.0002 with S-ON, ROM version 2.10.401.8, Android 2.3.5, USB debugging enabled and fastboot desabled. I want to install a custom ROM because I want a new version of Android and the buttons sometimes work and sometimes not so I want to enable soft buttons but Android 2.3.5 doesn't support soft buttons. I'm doing this on a Windows 8.1 laptop. How can I fix this? .

Help needed! ADB issues(detected on phone but not in fastboot)

Dear all,
Please Help me. My One plus one is on CM12 official rom (rooted). Problem is when I connect my phone to computer and use ADB it is detected (adb devices: number & devices detected) but when in fastboot (fastboot devices : nothing is detected) I check in my device manager (yellow triangle on android ) My problem is why CAN it be detected when my phone is on but NOT during fastboot.
Necessary checks done : USB debugging, Universal driver, SDK installed, USB driver reinstalled again, tried changing usb ports on computer, tried on 2 laptops)
I am helpless, tried checking on forums can not find the answer.

Tried adb reboot bootloader then phone boots into fastboot mode but from here..
is total no connection. Tried checking fastboot devices (nothing), fastboot reboot (waiting)
then i tried as u said unplug & plug in (not recognize) from here adb cannot be written anymore. (no more commands can be typed). Tried others like down loading Pdanet ,force install driver..Nothing works. Thinking ,did I corupt the bootloader while I was rooting it last time.?
I think if something was wrong with bootloader you could not either boot .
Do you use antivirus to pc?
Try without antivirus
What happening the false is from computer
Mine is reverse issue. When in fastboot mode, pc recognizes OPO, but when OPO is normally connected to pc, adb is not working. Its charging and can transfer data through USB, but OPO is not recognized through adb commands. Device Manager too recognizes my OPO only when it is in fastboot mode and not when normally connected via USB for data transfer.
I have a software, through which I can REVERSE TETHER my PC's internet to my mobile via USB. Because my OPO is not recognized via USB in normal mode, I can't do that. Any idea, what's wrong with my OPO.
(I have installed Android SDK and google usb drivers, for my OPO to work in fastboot. I have rooted. My pc runs on win7)
