id like to keep the new google keyboard as opposed to uninstalling the update, but i hate the emojis that show up in the perdictive text area when youre on the symbols keyboard. Anyone know how to disable that? I could be very obtuse and missing something obvious, if so, i apologize

Basically i was messing around on my friends iphone and I had never thought before, but as im sure some will know the apps on iphone update for example the facebook app will have a little 1 on top of the widget to let the user know they have a notification. I was just wondering why ive never seen anything like this for android, is there a reason why it cant be done? if there's already a way to do etc. then let me know please, i just think it would look good. thanks.
i kno there is a app called sms unread, but its only for sms messgs, gmail, and email i think

I know i know...who the **** uses T9 anymore? I DO! So I had this problem with my HTC Sensation 4G and now I am having the same problem with HTC One S. I have predictive texting on while using T9 and it won't recognize simple words like "it" or "am." When I type out "it," it turns into "gt." I've tried adding those words into my personal dictionary to see if it would change anything but it doesn't. I have the open of clicking to see more predictive words but that just takes up so much time. I know this is such a small issue but does anyone have this problem too? And has anyone found a solution to this?! It's annoying the crap out of me! I know i can just switch to standard qwerty keyboard but i like T9...easier to text while driving and my fingers won't **** up the words as easily. RAWR! anyway...suggestions and comments are welcome and much appreciated!
Find the mirror app, activate it. Then find the lever on left side of steering wheel, tilt it upwards, check rear view mirror and pull over ffs.
Also if this happens only on short words check if you have maybe by mistake added some short words like gt to your personal dictionary and this is why they are picked first?
What's a mirror app? >.< And where can I get it? I saw literal mirror apps at the google play store but I'm assuming you weren't talking about that kind of mirror app.
I did check my personal dictionary and there was no "gt" added in there, but thank you for the suggestion!
Just like the title says, I would like the voice button in GO keyboard to call up Google voice typing instead of the GO speech recognition. I really like the Google input, but I can't stand the default keyboard. I guess a secondary question is whether or not there is another third-party keyboard that has this functionality already? I've got a Galaxy S3 running freeza's ROM.

I once typed "DONT ANSWER" in a message, now whenever I go to type "don't" in a normal sentence, Google Keyboard automatically changes the word to "DONT".
This is driving me mad.
I have deleted the cache and app data from Google keyboard to no avail.
The word is not in my personal dictionary.
Please could someone give me some advice on this, I feel like such an idiot and I've not managed to find answers using Google.
Swiping types correctly.
It corrects to DONT and then suggests the word ANSWER next. Is there some sort of Android User phrase book that is causing this? What do I have to clear!

Name - DONT ANSWER
Deleted the contact, keyboard issue fixed.

I've been having this feature on my previous OPO (LineageOS) and was wondering whether I needed to activate it in the language or spelling correction settings of my S8+. Couldn't find it in my device or SwiftKey settings though. So I suppose it's somehow OS or google related.
I find it very convenient in any messenger app (Whatsapp, Twitter etc.) to get the misspelled word underlined in red and by tapping on it I'd get a bunch of suggestions for the correctly spelled word.
I might be wrong, but maybe the answer lies in the google settings, as this feature is enabled on every windows PC I use.
I'm grateful for any advice on how to enable this. Thanks in advance! :good: :laugh:
