Hi everyone
I am using Shield Tablet LTE-US and have been on the Vulkan Preview version for months now. So far it was OK but it still has the occasional lags when I go online (after being offline for a long time)
Just received this update notification:
ST8 - US LTE - Vulkan Preview - 67.35 Final
The update description says File not Found"
I tried download it but I always end up having errors while doing so.
Wonder if others have tried it. Pls let us know what this is all about. Thanks
To ADMINS, if this is a misplaced or redundant thread, pls let me know so I can correct it. Thanks!
No idea m8t but a have a k1 and was on the preview for a month but k1 update has been out for some time my advice is to go onto Nvidia website and download the image that way assuming ur unlocked bootloader but they do give instructions on how to?
I've finally downloaded and installed it. It seems it only updated the security patch. Antutu initially went from 91k+ to 88k+...
Will check if what else changed.
Hope others can share their experience as well.

Hi there, I'm rooted on 3.1 and wondering if its OK to go back to 3.0 without any issues? I'm US wifi xoom btw and used public animals method to root 3.1. OK thanks!
Here you can download the stock images from the MOTODEV site:
http://developer.motorola.com/products/software/
Download the corresponding image, and follow the instructions on this site. It's pretty straight forward, and should get you back to HC 3.0.1.
Not development, moved to Q&A.
he beat me...fast tonite.
why would you want to do this?
I have heard that when 3.1 got pushed some people started having problems with various games getting FC errors that were fine before the update. Maybe that is his reason? Also is any one else here getting FC errors on GameLoft games after the 3.1 update? I now have two (they offered the second one for free after i reported issues with the first) games from them and both are having issues.
Hello everybody, before all, I hope there isn't a thread already with this topic, if there is, my apologies.
I have an european (ww) stock rom Transformer on 3.1, I did the first update (3.0 to 3.1) manualy, it worked great, but now, its been since the 3rd of august (OTA 3.2 release date in France) that I've been waiting for my tranformer to receive the OTA, but it just won't.
I've tried to push the "search for update" button thousand times and reboot it almost everyday since then without result.
Do someone have had the same problem and solve it?
By the way, I don't have the keyboard dock yet; doest it play a role in my problem?
I bought my transformer 2 weeks ago i was in 3.1 and i had the update to 3.2 as soon my tab was connected on wifi. But i have the dock.
Are you sure that you never rooted your tab?
You can also ask asus france on their facebook page.
Yes I'm positive, unless the manual 3.0 to 3.1 update implied to root. But I'm quite sure it doesn't.
Apparently you are only offered the update once, if it fails it wont offer it again unless you delete a certain file
Not sure which one it is, but a factory reset should sort it if you can cope with wiping it
that's the odd thing, I wasn't offered it even once. I will search for the file you mentioned and in last ressort, go for a factory reset. But honestly I would prefer not to go that far. That's why I asked for other solutions.
Tried updated manually? ie downloading update from
http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=Eee+Pad+Transformer+TF101&p=20&s=16
I've tried it too, I've followed the steps, I've put the "asus" folder on a micro sd card, put it in my transformer, but it did not detect the update, I've tried different ways to put the update folder on the sd card so that the tablet can find the update, but still, it didn't work. I just can't figure out why it doesn't want to update.
Thanks for your clues anyway, I will keep searching for a solution or a way to make this manual update...
If I find the thread with the location of the offending file, I`ll update this thread with it
Thanks, it will be very helpfull

You may already know about this forum, but Im beginning to wonder if the posts I am remembering are infact here
http://www.transformerforums.com
Great place either way
Yes great place indeed, i'll try to find it there
I had a similar issue. The tablet update section said 'There is an update available. Please check notifications'. The search for updates button was therefore greyed out. However, nothing ever appeared in the notifications.
I updated manually in the end. However, the update section remains the same: Telling me there is an update and not allowing me to check for any further updates. I'd really like to get this functionality working again.
OK can you please tell me wich folder did you put on the micro sd card for the tablet to detect the update?
Seagle77 go to settings/applications/manage applications/all and scroll down to DMClient click on it and hit clear data and clear catche if i remember right thats what i cleared when the ota failed to install for the first time, once you clear it u might have to restart but it should show you the ota notifiction after that, hope it helps.
V.
I tried it, but after the reboot, there is still no notification of the OTA and nothing more on the update menu.
Update.zip file you downloaded for manual update should go under /removable/microsd/update.zip try placing it there and seeing if u get the notification after a reset , if not then try booting into stock recovery and starting the update from there using update.zip
I've downloaded a file nammed "UpdateLauncher_WW_epaduser8659.zip" on asus website. Do I have to rename it before put it on the micro sd card, or leave it like this?
Ok, problem solved here, someone told me to check the update version on "transformerforum", and the origin of the bug was my first manual update, were I used the US update, istead of WW version.
Therefore, I just needed to update with the US 3.2 file and it worked perfectly.
Thanks for the help given here. Have a good one everybody
Enjoy 3.2 !
I'm completely overwhelmed with this Shield at the moment. Can't even think straight, because it's frustrating me so much. I rooted it and unlocked the bootloader. Now, I tried to update to 99, but it won't let me. So, finally, I decided to change it back to stock. After several attempts at this, now when it loads it just sits at a black screen. Before I got it to work, but it wouldn't check for updates and oddly enough the Play Store was acting weird (downloading slow, operating slow). Not sure if that's relevant, but I get 1.8 MB/s download speed, so I know it's not me. Everything else downloads just fine.
I'm using this thing called Shield Ram which includes adb, cwm recovery, fastboot, and the likes.
***Update***
While typing this, I was able to get the Shield back up after trying to flash the stock rom, but I still have the issue where I can't update.
I go to About Shield/System updates/ and it says "Your system is up to date. Last checked for update at 3:46PM." With a Check now button that doesn't work.
I know that there's update 99 out, but it's on 68 refusing to update or even check for it. I fear that rooting and unlocking it screwed everything up!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Screwed Shield Up! (Solved - I think)
So, just in case anyone is having the same problems as me. I followed this thread to a T and so far it seems to be working. I didn't install the root, though, because it seems like that is what got me in trouble in the first place. Not sure if that was bad or if now it's not rooted and that's the end of it. Hopefully I can just update normally, but if all else fails, then I'll have to reflash or reroot. Again, hopefully it doesn't come down to that.
:good:
[Firmware] Nvidia Root-Friendly Updates [No Wipe]
How do you get root after the latest patch? The one shown in here not working for me currently. :\
Hi
Sorry if this has already been addressed. My Pixel is stuck on the October update and has not received the November update. Tried pressing system update six/ten times in a row to no avail. Phone says it's up to date.
Other than sideloading any ideas? Is the device faulty?
Contacted Google who say the phone should have received the update on 19 November and advised to wait until the December update is released. If it doesn't update then they will ask for a bug report.
My Nexus Player updated a few days after the release but it never updated to the October one.
Thanks for any help or advice.
Just side load it, you are not alone. Seems to be pretty common.
Still Stuck? I didn't get the update myself until yesterday 11/30. Might try it again.
If yall are still waiting, most pixel (non xl) users were complaining of this. Apparently they just released the ota for the Pixel, so we should be getting it soon.
IF, you need a step by step guide, check my video post here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRL_L6vt5lU I cover both, OTA sideload and factory image flashing. Fyi if you look at the factory image, there's a mistyped command in the video, but the video also has the text correction. Just want to make sure you notice that while watching the video. Hope this helps!
Just got the Update from 0.672 to 2.1
It increased quite a bit... will update with screenshot when it's done.
But the patch was only around 76mb in size. So i don't expect more than security update.
Edit:
Maybe only may patch. Got it too.
Isn`t it buil-number 52.1.A.2.1 instead of 51?
anything new and improved in this build?Like is the lag and touch screen issues fixed?
Does Sony ever release any changelogs? This is bizarre, not knowing what's going on.
Fingerprint Reader improved a Lot with this Update - for me at least
I am looking to download this firmware version 52.1.A.2.1 so I could flash it with flashtool (I'm on 0. 672) I'm using a customized US firmware, I have been checking for OTA updates but I've got nothing.
Edit 1: I got the firmware in Xperifirm and installed it but the bugs I was experiencing didnt get fixed.
edit 2: I came back to Android 9
And as usual,Singtel SG always late update, should be the last..oh my God
