There is not much about your device on xda.
But I found this thread: ZTE ZMAX (T-Mobile/MetroPCS USA).
Maybe you find the answer there.
If not, best to register on xda and ask in this thread. Best place to get quick and proper help IMO.

Hmm ... you can't download the source code?
Or you can't compile it yourself on Windows?
Maybe you can ask in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Hopefully some users there can help better.
