[Q] Problem With Moto G fallen, Broken Screen

First i must say hello to all recently i have bought 2 phones one for me and another to my girlfriend the phones are a moto g cdma from verizon mine is working ok but the other stopped working after a fall
My girlfriend had the phone but then fall to the floor
The phone shut down, also the lcd was completely broken, but the digitizer was intact. so i know that the digitizer is fused with the lcd, so if i need to replace it i just need to buy a new lcd+digitizer. alright let's tall about the logic board and battery
i oppened the phone and test the battery it says 3.7 V with a friend multimeter and i have removed it.
when i diassembly the logic board from the screen also took off the front camera, the flex also broken, but since the screen will not work anymore this will not be a problem i think.
well i just got the logic board, and wanted to connect to my pc to recover the photos but when i did it the pc didn't recognized it but when i connect it to my pc or a wall charger, a white light (notification led) turns on and doesn't turn of only if i disconnectthe usb cable.
i thought that i need the battery connected to turn it on. i just connected the battery flex , and connected it again. this time the led won't turn on instantly. just like a minute and then the notification led turns on, i don't know if that means that the logic board is broken too.
i just need to know if i need to connect the screen also to turn it on? because i don't want to purchase a replacement and see that the logic board is not working too.
if you have some thoughts to share with me just write here, please i hope you can help me
thanks in advance, henser.

Problem with Display-exchange

Hello,
First of all i dont know if this is the right forum for my question. If not so please notice me.
After my Z5 dropped on the floor i got an broken Display. I bought a new Display and changed it, but i think i broke the LCD-Flexcable after i pulled carefully on it to get it inside the case. The effect is after phone turn on i get only the backlight but the screen remains black. So for a test i switched my old broken display in it but the effect is the same, only backlight and black screen. After a few seconds the phone led blinks 3 times red and the phone restarts. What the heck is now? Anybody get the same case? I handled the mainboard with care, dont remember to damaged the connector in anyway. Does the Flexcable needs to be protected with a tape so it couldnt be grounded on someway?
Sorry for my bad english. Thanks for any help!
After a second and a third display swap the error is still the same. It seems somehow i damaged the motherboard. I swapped the phone against a new one.
Please help, same problem ...

Nexus 5 colorful vertical lines

Hello
I have a strange problem with my Nexus 5. Today when I booted it up it started fine and everything was working. After 2 hours I wanted to check my phone, but it had turned off. I pressed the power button and strange vertical lines appeared coming from the top of the screen. They disappeared after 3 seconds, but now my phone has no picture only the backlight is working. When I reboot the phone I see the stripes again, but still screen is unresponsive after booting. I know the phone works, because I hear the notifications coming in. I though, that maybe the lcd cable has gotten loose, so I opened up the phone, but the cables were still all connected. I haven't dropped my phone or anything. Can anyone please suggest me what to do? Does it have something to do with the cables? Or is the screen broken ? Any help will be appreciated.
This has happened to mines previously. Unfortunately you'll need to replace what is called the flex cable.
A lot of topics about this issue but no one answers is not complete.
In my case usb flex replacement haven't got any result. Absolutely!
Only by replacing the mainboard (i.e. motherboard) Nexus 5 became alive.
So, feature Nexus 5 rainbow vertical lines victims, keep this in mind.
ps: yes, I'm a necroposter, sorry
Same thing happens to me some time ago, now i've put some paper on the mainboard connector and the problem appear only some times.
I think i have to buy a new phone.

Mi4 black screen

Hi
3 months ago my charging port stopped working and then I cut the screen's flex cable by mistake... Anyway i changed both and it worked but today, the battery was getting very hot (i saw smoke coming from it when i opened the phone) so i disconnected the battery
Now when i try to turn the mi4 on i have black screen (but it turns on) Why??? Try to disconnect and reconnect every flex cable...
Also, the battery is still very hot since 3 hours
Thanks for helping me.
Hello my friend,
I have a similar problem as yours. In my case the LCD connector on the mainboard had 2 missing (extremely small) pins. I had it replaced but now the screen is black. Everything else works! (touch, vibration etc.).
I have heard that you can use the MI PC Suite to emulate the screen on a PC. Try it.
Can anyone help?

Google pixel screen demains black but still responds

Hello guys,
I got a problem on my Google Pixel out of nowhere. I turned it off a few days ago and when trying to turn it on again a few hours later it did not work.
Nothing happened whether it was plugged it or not so I thought the battery was faulty.
I ordered a new one and changed the battery. Now the phone turns on but the screen remains black (I can tell it's turning on because it vibrates).
The screen is black but is still responsive, I can still (with difficulty since I don't see anything) enter my pin code and then answer calls, receive messages and so on.
It is also worth mentionning that it seems to work the same with the old battery which I thought was faulty (I am 100% sure it wasn't vibrating before I changed it the fist time because I tried for two days before ordering the new battery).
Do you think replacing the screen would be enough or could it be another issue ?
Thanks for your help.

Have you dropped the phone? not like the ribbon cable connecting the screen to the motherboard could be loose and needs to be reattached again? just a guess though..

Hello Arju,
No I didn't drop it.
Since I had to take off the screen to change the battery I had to unplug the ribbon cable. When putting everything back together I tried many times to unplug/replug it without success so far. (I did not glue it back yet to the case so far so I still have access).
Moreover, since the touch screen is working I am guessing it has to be attached correctly.
Thanks for your idea anyways.
