This kernel is created specifically for sense roms It will more then likely not work in it current state on any AOSP based rom
Features
Overclocked to 1.51ghz and stable as ever (for most)
added in smartass and interactive cpu freq govs
added in TUN support
compiled v4l2 as modules
many more....
for a full list of changes check the commit log here
Quirks
Smartass wont scaled below 768mhz atm im looking into it stick with interactive for the best overall experience for now.

Awesome! I'll give my feedback as to how it is working.
I did notice once a governor is selected you have to reset your Mhz or it will stay on 806 max. Also this kernel doesnt want to work with OC widget at all but works fine with SetCPU. I've always liked OC widget a little more as it uses less battery than SetCPU.
Great work so far BC your the man. Been running this bad boy and havn't had a single reboot @ 1.5ghz. Though my battery is going quick for some reason, dont know why
This'll work on the stock Sense?

Looks like it should, yes
Thank you very much for this. I can confirm that this is running well on stock.

Now, coming from the Moment I've never used an OC kernel... anything I should know? Any tips?

If you get random reboots, it means it's OCed a bit too high; just scale it back a bit and you'll be fine if that ever happens
Is this running at 1.5 all the time or does it throttle between ranges?
What is the default range?
Does the user have to do anything to enable or set the throttling?

As noted above, I'm new to OC'ing but I'm pretty sure you have to set it to the ranges you want via something like SetCPU or OS Monitor. I believe default is gonna stop at 800mhz unless you scale it up.
EDIT: And thanks Impaler for the help!

Use SetCPU and select the Mhz/governor you want to use. Each Governor "Throttles differently"

No problem, I'm here if you need anything else
What are some good range options?
I'm using 800 min 1.5ghz max interactive. Profiles I have setup: charging 1.5ghz performance, screen off 800 max 245 min
Bumped it up 1.1ghz min 1.5ghz max interactive, going to see how much that affects my battery life

I have mine set to 768 min and 1.4GHz max interactive
Charging is 1.4 performance
screen off 245 min and 800 max interactive.
I don't want to push up around 1.5 until I'm sure this is more stable on my phone.

there no real need to have it running at such high freqs all the time mine is set at 245 min 1.31 max usually n got no lag what so ever
the higher speeds are more for gaming and cpu intensive applications
todAY HAS been a good day for HTC EVO SHIFT 4g android development. downloading kernal now! thanks for the hard work
BC you need to set your Donation link up like Impaler. I dont have paypal and it says you have to log in. Impaler's lets you pay with just a credit card. I will send a donation if I can do it without a paypal account.

So,
We've all got our Xooms, what are you experiences with each kernel, which one do you find the best? (and with what governors?)
Secondly, What are your UV values? Whats the best you've got when trying to undervolt?
Ive just got my Xoom (32gb, wifi, uk) and im just on the brink of experimenting with the undervolting, i searched but couldn't find a relevent topic.
So please, do post values, kernels and your experiences
ah okay, I thought this would be quite an important issue,
I've managed to get the xoom to handle 1.6 undervolting each state by 100mv
I am however having trouble getting both cores to stabilse at 1.6. Using os monitor I can see that only one core sticks, the other goes down to 300 mhz,.

I haven't fooled around with over/undervolting, but I like the oc gpu version of the Tachi kernel.
Zero problems and very smooth. I am very stable at 1504MGh

what you using for OC?
Setcpu or pimp my cpu or anything else.
Which governor you use?
I had lots of rebooting with setcpu especially after applying voltages.

I use CPU Master for oc and setting profiles. I do have the oc set on boot, because 1504 is my sweetspot and is stable.
Just installed Moray+tachi
Mobo player freezed few times, rest ok.
Edit: Trying "No frills" discarded Set Cpu for now.

No Frills is good, but I don't know if you can set profiles, which are good to save battery, control overheating, etc...
The phone is extremely slow with this kernel. Am i doing something wrong!? What app to use with this kernel to set the speeds and all that?
Ok so I just played with daemon tool and the phone is a lil faster. What settings are h guys running and what governor? Also what's the difference between them?
Help please i dont want to damage my phone running the wrong settings.

Hi,
153 is fine as well.
switch to ondemand governor. and you might want to switch to 1.4r1 bricked kernel for sense 3.0 aka (3.6.x) thats the best version next to 0.91 for sense 3.0

What's the difference between ondemand and smartass?
To my experience smartass is more conservative than ondemand but ondemand is better at performing and conserving energy when not in use. It has a better balance it will know when you max out performance and when not to so battery still lasts long and performance is maximized

Have you tried a reboot? Most of the time, flashing a new ROM/kernel requires a reboot before the phone acts normal.
Matt
Hello, I flashed ARHD 6.5.5 with faux kernel.
I want to know how to set this kernel with System Tuner or Faux Clock.
My smartphone is Sensation XE. Thanks
Actually is set:
max clock 1,512 ghz
min clock 192 mhz
governer on demand
global voltage 0mV
GPU IO Fraction 33
I don't understand your question. What do you want to set, the CPU frequency or the voltage?
Faux in its kernel thread write : "For frequency control and voltage adjustments use SystemTuner by 3C or FauxClock app by Romanbb". What it mean? What can i do with this apps? Can i get better performance setting this values?
Thanks
Hi,
With this app you can test different frequency from 1.52 to 1.8 Ghz.
You can see witch one is better for your usage and batterie life ...

It means you can overclock/underclock and undrevolt.
Overclocking can lead to better performance, unvolting may increase battery life a little.
Ok, but in your opinion which is the best combination?
What happens if i set the governer performance?i don't see any difference!

I'm still experimenting really, I leave it at 1.5GHz but I've undervolted by about 50 but haven't really noticed that much difference in battery life.
For governor I just stick to On Demand. Here's an explanation of governors: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369817
maybe is better if i keep the stock kernel
now i reflash with stock.
IMO to have a custom kernel with default setting have no sense!
hello
I have a problem with OC on my nexus 5 d821 32 gb. I have this rom [ROM][N5][UNOFFICIAL] ♦ OptiPurity ♦ Now w/ CM11 Themes [9/20/14] + Uber KERNEL and when trying to raise Voltages about 25 or more on 2576 Mhz I have always restarts in benchmark like antutu. I tried to not give more than 2576 MHz bcs its no sens when its resets. On stock Voltages its this same problem ofc only in benchamrks. Soryy for my English. Its not the best.

when you oc, you dont just raise the cpu speed, but you have to adjust the voltages up or down as well, to get it stable. above 2265mhz, there isnt such a thing as "stock voltage", as stock doesnt oc. you meant the roms/kernels "stock" voltages.

I know about that, so I tried rise voltages +25mv on 2572 Mhz and still get reset in antutu so tried more 50,75 and its this same when I down -25mv phone just freez. Hmm i think its something wrong with phone or im doing some wrong?

25mV is to large of a jump to try. try raising or lowering the voltage 5-10mV at a time, not 25mV.
