i have nexus 5, and can i install s6 rom there ? and with that, can i use gear vr as in original samsung phones ?
i dont want to use gear vr just like cardboard..

I had a rooted oneplus 3T and could not install the gear apps from the playstore. I wont be able to tell you if you can get the apps from playstore if you are un-rooted because i have never tried it.
I did managed to get the gear apps from this thread by xda member j to the 4n

Mine is not rooted and by looking at google play i can download every app samsung has to offer regarding smartwatches
So in that case it'll work?
I would prefer you get the confirmation that it works form someone who is actually using the gear S3 with unrooted oneplus 3T
I had both device by 3 months: Samsung gear s3 classic (not lte) work perfectly with oneplus 3t (not rooted with original factory rom oxygen os by oneplus)
All feature of gear s3 work perfect with no workaround, I follow the istruction on display

Dear technophiles!
I have a samsung J 7 mobile bought around 2015/16, which I'ld like to use with Samsung gear vr 2017.
This mobile model is not listed under compatible phone for any samsung gear VR set, so wandering if any of you good Samaritan know of a hack tweak or some sort of software manipulation to run the Oculus/ samsung gear vr software on my Android 6.0.1.
I really do not want to buy a new mobile for this headset.
I haven't bought the VR headset yet as i wait for your recommendations.

The problem is that i use an iPhone and it's not possible to buy on the Samsung Galaxy Watch.
You must install (paid) faces before with other phone (or watch and phone). I can use the face on my iPhone with my S2 and I can install what I want with my Samsung S5 and my S3 before

I want to use Samsung GearVR with Sony Xperia XZ Premium as it has 801 PPI , Samsung gear VR only works with Samsung s7, s8 or s9 ...
So,Is it possible to install samsung s7 frimware on xperia premium like custom rom so i can use samsung gear software and oculus services?
Short answer: no.
Long answer: It's hard enough to get custom roms to work on the phones they're built for, let alone try and make a stock rom run on another brand of phone.
