SOLVED - No call or calendar notifications anymore - Samsung Gear S2

My Note5 updated to v6.0.1 this morning, now today my watch has no call or s planner notifications.
Other notifications like email, txt, facebook all work fine.
I didn't realize till now how much I use the watch when someone calls!
I've done a reset on the watch, repaired bluebooth, rebooted phone and watch multiple times.
Any other ideas?

I managed to fix this by:
'Forget' bluetooth pair
Factory reset Gear
Clear data from Gear app
Remove Gear connector app
It did mean I had to set everything back up on my gear though.

ebay notifications not working

They worked the first day I had the watch, then stopped. I've rebooted my Note 2, cleared the Gear Manager App cache, uninstalled and reinstalled ebay for gear--still nothing. Never had a problem with the Gear 1 from day 1. Never missed a notification.
I have a lot of time sensitive auctions and use this feature a lot. I really don't want to go back to my Gear 1 but don't know what else to do.
<FIXED SORT OF> I went into gear manager, notifications, and ticked the main ebay app. Now both the ebay gear app and the ebay app are checked for notifications. Before I was getting messages from 'ebay for Galaxy Gear." Now I'm getting them from just 'ebay.' This is a workaround and not a very good one.

OnePlus 3 and Gear S2 Issue

Gear S2 Issue: No notifications with my OnePlus 3.
Hi guys, just wanted to check if anyone has the new OnePlus 3 and Gear S2? I couldn't get notifications like local messages and third party messages applications to appear in my watch. I had the LG G5 and everything works with it. I had no issues pairing the S2 and my OnePlus 3. I have tried 3 complete hard reset, re pairing and reflash from Samsung. Only incoming call alerts is working. Help?
Mine works fine. Try resetting the watch and setting up all the notifications again

Okay, I actually fixed it by factory resetting the phone itself.
Reinstalling the apps, plugins or just resetting the watch alone wouldnt fix it.

Text Message notifications no working on Gear S3 Frontier

Hi.
Have the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier BT version paired with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
I'm receiving all notifications with the exception of TXT messages even though I believe the setting seems to be correct.
Anyone else experience a problem receiving message notifications?
Ed
Do you use the stock Samsung SMS app on the phone? If not, that may be the issue.

Thank you.
I sent a txt to myself via the watch (no prompt to change app as using the default app already).
Phone received the txt as did the watch.
Watch now displaying notifications of txt's received without making any system changes.
Must have been caught in a lost loop or something.
Weird but I will certainly remember this solution should it occur again.
Cheers.
interesting. I also sent a text to myself and this started working with the default SMS app.
I have the same problem, but that did not fix it for me.
I have Gear s3 Frontier. Number sync on . Connected to s6 edge plus via Bluetooth.
It has been working fine. It quit a few days ago, and I couldn't get it fixed, ended up uninstalling everything and doing a reset on the watch. This is terribly inconvenient, setting up NumberSync again etc.
I go to notification settings on the phone in the gear app and Messages is not listed anymore. I get the texts on the watch, but only if I go into the app. Any help?

That's the problem. "messages" is now missing from there. It's not listed at all. No option to turn it on. Only way is to factory reset the gear and Uninstall and re install gear app on the phone.
I'm in France and i have exactly the same problem since a few days without doing anything in the settings of the gear s3 classic or in the phone (an s7) : all the notifications except sms and "messages" is no more in the gear app settings. Sorry for my english and thank you for the futur help.
Francis.
+1 same problem is that Messages is not showing up as an option within the Gear app's Notification tab/window. It was there previously before recent update on S3 Frontier (using S7 Edge).

I haven't found a fix yet. Only thing that fixes if for a while is completely in installing gear app and resetting the gear itself. But then you have to set everything up again. Very frustrating. I opened a ticket with att and Samsung, haven't heard back in a couple weeks though. Lol
Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Hopefully they fix it soon...

Same issue here - factory reset of the phone was the only thing that fixed it. Then started to do the same thing a couple days later.
Don't forget to set notifications to On in the phone app
Hi there, had the same issue. I found that although the phone was set to notifications in settings...that in the actual message app (standard one) under settings there, my notifications were set to OFF! So, seems like you need to set notifications ON in app on phone, on the phone settings, in the Gear app..and make sure you give it some sort of vibrate/noise in settings on watch, then it should work! :good:
I've had the issue crop up a couple times but was able to resolve it by activating the cellular on the watch and sending a text to the phone. Yesterday, that didn't work. Today I noticed that instead of 2 Bluetooth connections for the S3 on the phone, there is now 1, shows call audio. Wondering if this is the root of the problem. Can others who have the problem check and see if this is occurring on your phones as well?
here's the fix: Go into your app mananger on your phone, click on the Gear S plugin app, then click on storage and clear the cache. Restart your gear s3 and it's back to normal
Having the same problem

I am having the exact same issue as you with my s3. Did you ever find a solution? I have searched far and wide but im stumped. Even had Samsung look at the watch, but of course they found nothing.
I'm having this problem now too... It just started out of nowhere. I can see the message on my watch if I scroll to the notifications screen, but it does not vibrate nor show when I twist my wrist... I have tried everything... Every single thing necessary is on. I've even done a factory reset WITH uninstalling all the apps on my phone and installing everything in order again. Setup the watch as new. This isn't cool. Half of the reason I have this watch is for notifications. Seriously, Sammy needs to get it together! I've been having WAY too many problems with this watch in the last couple months.
Anyone found a fix? Nothing anyone has mentioned previously works.
Having the same issue here. No freaking idea what's going on. Have tried just about everything. Textra works but AM doesn't. Even Gmail doesn't work. So basically it seems like Google apps aren't working

No notifications on my Huawei watch after Nougat upgrade

Ok folks, so I finally managed to install Nougat on my Mate 8.
Since when I'm on Android 7, I do not receive notifications anymore on my Huawei watch ... I receive calls and new app installed notification, I do not receive whatsapp, facebook, ifttt, email, and so on ...
I tried to:
Factory reset the watch - not working
Unistall android wear app, factory reset watch, reinstall wear app and pair it with watch - not working
Initially, at the first boot, I receive all the notifications, then no new one can be received ...
There's something odd with bluetooth pairing, since sometimes the bluetooth connection shows the device (Huawei watch 2048), some other times not but the wear app says the watch is connected ... strange.
Anyone else with same or similar problem that managed to solve it?
Solved: I had to uninstall Google Play Services upgrades and then reinstall them.
The watch must be factory reset, but after the pairing all works correctly.

No text message notification to Gear S3 Classic

Ok, I have Gears S3 classic (bluetooth) and S7 Edge. I have had my S3 for several months and all has been great, I love it. But 2 days ago, my watch stopped receiving notifications for text messages only (I still get notifications for other things like calls, emails, etc...) And yes, in my gear wearable app, messages is marked to receive notifications...they just don't come thru to the watch. I am using stock messaging app for Samsung. One thing I did notice when I was trying to trouble shoot, is that I can send texts from my watch to my phone, on the watch, it shows the spinning circle as if it were constantly trying to send the message. Funny thing is, my phone gets the message, but when I go to look at the watch, the "sending" circle is still spinning. It won't stop. I think the fact that it is getting snagged/caught up on the watch's end might be the culprit. I just cant figure out how to fix it. Factory resetting the watch is the last thing I want to do, I'd like to avoid it if at all possible.
I have the Gear S3 Frontier SM-R760 version and I downloaded the 4.0.0.2 firmware and flashed it. All went well. However, I too don't receive message notifications on the watch. I have removed and reinstalled the app on my Note 8 and reset the Gear S3 to set everything up as a new phone but there is still no luck.
If there is any work around to this or anyone can help then it would be greatly appreciated. All of this seem to have happened since I updated to 4.0.0.2 but I hear it's happening on other firmware as well.
Download Pulse SMS onto both the phone and watch. Don't worry about registering as all you're bothered about is notifications. Enable Pulse SMS from the Gear app for Notifications and any SMS messages you receive you will be notified on the watch from the Pulse SMS app on the watch. This so far seems a valid workaround to the problem.
Yeah...its very frustrating. Is there another text/sms app we can use? I see people mention Textra...but I don't see that on apps for watch, just for phone.

So, I unpaired my gear s3 watch from bluetooth list on my s7 edge. Next, I uninstalled gear s plug in from apps list on phone. Then, I went to apps list and cleared cache and data from gear wearable app. Then I uninstalled updates for gear wearable app as well. After that, I went to play store and updated gear wearable app to current version and repaired watch w phone/app. I thought I could do it without resetting watch. But the wearable app and watch wouldn't connect without resetting watch, so I bit the bullet and reset watch. I tried to connect them without resetting watch, but app popped up a message saying I needed to reset watch and it did it itself w push of a button. It didn't take that long to put apps back on watch. And it worked. I am now getting text notifications from stock samsung messages app back on my watch.
2 notes:
#1 - when watch and app reconnected after reset, I did not restore back up, I skipped it and manually went to wearable app to put apps back on as they are listed there. I didn't want to reset watch, but it seems to be working for now.
#2 - before I did all this, I used Textra SMS, and that app sent notifications to my phone no problem. But I wanted to fix the issue, not use a workaround.
