Background
Google Play Music is extremely popular but has several drawbacks for serious music lovers as it:
Replaces lossless files with lossy MP3s
Relies on fingerprint matching instead of uploading original music files
Imposes a variety of DRM restrictions ("authorized" devices, limits on web downloads, etc)
Prohibits 3rd party Android apps from accessing the Google Music cloud (and Google frequently bans such apps)
doubleTwist CloudPlayer was designed to address these issues and provide a more open alternative to Play Music.

Could you add support to Mega, they have well documented API and I haven't seen any other player to support it.By the way ,sometimes Chinese and Japanese support is weak，please fix the text decoding error. Thanks! Check your PM for an unlock code. Right now our focus is on completing core player features (gapless, etc) but we are planning to add more cloud services later this summer. We'll start with OneDrive for Business/Office 365 that have a sweet 1TB for subs, then we'll add Box, and after that we'll look into MEGA. As far as issues with Chinese and Japanese songs go, this is usually due to non-unicode tags. In these cases, CloudPlayer tries to guess the correct encoding but sometimes it's unable to guess correctly. There's no full-proof way to fix this as it may break tags for other users, but in the future we may add a way to manually pick the correct encoding.

We don't support OwnCloud yet, but the app works like a charm with Dropbox. You can also chain-link Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive to create a giant jukebox

- Is there a widget for this app to control play/stop/ff/rewind? Would it be possible to create one if it doesn't exist already?
- Is it possible to set up separate folders/playlists from the same cloud account? Example - store all my music in different folders on Drive, and have the app play only music in a specified folder, then switch to a new folder/playlist at some point to play only the music in the second folder?

owncloud.org is a self hosted cloud service.
there are several providers (i.e. owncube.com) that host owncloud instances for people without a server.
the advantage is that no commercial company has access to your cloud data and cannot analyze and sell your data (it's usually not for free though...).

I don't think it works that way. Of course I don't know for sure...
...If it did work that way, you'd in a sense only be able to run through your music collection 5x a month (pending every song is listened to prior to repeating) if you used absolutely no other data whatsoever.

I am currently working on adding more features such as controls from widgets and notification drawer. Expect them in upcoming version updates.
Yes, you can add tracks from different folders and accounts to your playlist.
I am gradually adding support for more cloud storage solutions. Whether or not CloudAmpz will support one depends on its popularity and the availability of an API for integration in Android.
This looks awesome, especially considering all of my music is on my box account. However, I'm a bit paranoid putting my box login information into anything other than box - what is the security on this?

Unfortunately, Box don't have account integration in Android. When you chose a Box account you will be shown a screen asking you to enter you Box username and password. This screen is a screen of the Box app (or browser if you don't have the Box app installed). CloudAmpz does not see you login information but instead get a security token to access and stream the files in your account.
Looking forward to trying the free version but I'd deffinately go for the paid version if/when it can access the Mega cloud storage system, dunno if it's encryption will rule it out though.
Hello XDA, I'm the developer of a new Android app called Billy. It lets you browse and listen to the most popular pop/rock/dance songs currently.

Quite nice. Note: There are several of these on Play with more feeds, but awaiting more feeds here. UI is quite navigable.
Since the screen is quite sparse, used Xposed Appsettings to show more songs. Lower "DPI" and magnified font size to compensate so still readable. However, tab-bar now covers half of the title bar. So ... might suggest the number of songs/pane be adjustable and scaled within the app rather than from outside (anyone tried this using Paranoid's DPI settings?).
Might also embed a simple youtube player rather than rely on that app being around (since there are alternatives and many of us do not keep it).

My Opinion: Is pretty good as a discovery app, I'm having no errors luckily. A way for autoplaying the sections (playlist?) would be nice. I also backup the Deezer/Rdio/Spotify linking idea. Great job man! I like your app.
I'm having the same trouble like everyone else. And it can't play the YouTube video without a YouTube app.

Yes, it happens with a few songs because SoundCloud is not providing MP3s for them. I'm trying to fix this.
Next, I think I made a bad generalization that everyone will have the official YouTube app. I'll have to fix this one too.

WHOOPS:silly:I didn't see that and i too use xposed appsettings...but i keep my phone's default dpi at 145 then upscale systemui.apk and nova launcher to 160 . then its all ok but it cuts the actionbar text for only billy when i enable expanded mode

.mp4 I was testing it with a Snapchat video because they are only 10 seconds but I get a 0% that never moves.

So turns out some other "Gallery" apps like "Photos" (Google) might not work if you open your Video first, then share it. But if you open "PlayBak" app first, then click the "Choose A Video" button. Then choose the default "Gallery" app or "Photos" app this will work. Here is our video to better explain how to use it.

Just published a new update with a bug fix - v1.5
Some users were with older devices were not able to "Choose A Video" after clicking on the "Choose A Video" button from the Guest Account. This might be due to device not having any MP4 type videos. Possibly only having .3gp video formats
This should be fixed now.

Fildo use Netease data, you could read about netease didn't work anymore... this is true but only in official apps because the block was set on application layer not in server one.

Wow, I didn't know that there were some problems with Netease servers, I tried with new version and it works. Obviously the development is just started and a lot of things still lack, but I'm sure it will be able to become an amazing app! :good:

What an awesome app! Been using it for almost a year now and has been awesome watching it get to where it is now. Some things I've noticed when using the app, and please realize that this is in the interests of helping, so if it's not appropriate, sorry in advance!
One thing that I have noticed after using the app is that often it pulls the artist image instead of album art with the music files, and often the tags aren't complete. Currently I use a tag editor to change them, however seeing this fixed would be an amazing addition in future.
Another awesome feature that I personally would really like to see in the app would be a "sync" for the added playlists from spotify and netease, even if it is just deleting the playlists and adding them again from the same link as per normal.
Once again I just have to say what you have developed is an amazing app, and I have a lot of respect for what you've created here, and criticism was in no way intended from this post. All the best for the future.

I completly agree with you... Fixing album art covers will make it the best android music app...Lets hope he find a fix for this

Songs download in sdcard0(Internal or main storage) instead of sdcard1(Sandisk external SD card)
I have serious issue with the storage now.Need to download 200+ songs.Faced no issue on Android 4.2.2.Enabling External option in fildo downloads songs in a new folder called mp3.fildo in the main storage(Main storage/Mp3.fildo....)And disabling the option also saves them in the main storage but this time in Main Storage/Downloads/Fildo Downloads

The app is called Now Playing Register. With it, you can find the old songs recognized by Now Playing even if they’re gone days ago. Just open the app and you’ll see a register of all the songs you heard since this app were installed.
“Now Playing Register” will remind for you all the songs you listened to. The only thing that you have to care about is to install this app.

Yes. Implementing in-app purchases to remove ads will be the next important step the application takes. I understand that the ads bother but we were a bit rushed doing the design. I hope you enjoy the application.
When I click the links for a Google search or Wikipedia it's using the Spanish version of the sites. Are there plans to allow this to be customized or use the phone's language preferences?

Hi. You must wait for Google Play to update the application to have this function. Today you should have this option. :good:
