Okay most of you will already know but on snapchat on marshmallow when using nav bars, theyre transparent and snapchat doesnt recognise them being there.
This is forcing me to stay in 5.1.1 because my capacitive buttons are broken and i really want marshmallow. Has anyone found a marshmallow rom that doesnt have this bug?? :good:
check this out if you have a rooted phone

Disable notification light in system settings then reenable it. Mine is working fine. Never used an app to control it.

This yet another bug Google have managed to break with 4.4.2 which worked absolutely fine with 4.4 along with the DIM video recording and stuttering gallery app.

I use LED LIGHT MANAGER.
Free: (with ads of course)
has lights for whatsapp, facebook messenger etc
I've used LightFlow since my Nexus 4 days, can't be without it and it has no affect on day-to-day use of the Nexus 5. The stock LED notifications are next to useless IMO

Try going into Display>Pulse Notification Light and toggle it. See if that works.
Hi all!
Im currently using Lollipop 5.0 and I have some questions regarding the notification light...
Has anyone been able to light up the notification light while charging?
Also, when i receive whatsapps or an email, the light will only blink once and then turn off permanently.... am I the only one with these problems or did it change with 5.0?
Thanks for the answers and sorry for my bad English.
PD: I posted here and not in Question category since Im also concerned on the notification behavior and not only fixing whatsapp
+100000
Btw only Roms I've noticed that has it working is unofficial cm12 and liquid lollipop
My notification light doesn't come on at all for any notifications and it's definitely set to 'Pulse notification light' under the sound and notification menu.
This should help solve your problem. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koo.lightmanager
Ledblinker is better in my opinion and the dev has an N5 on 5.0

Download the factory image of Lollipop 5.01 and then Perform hard factory reset.
This particular bug has been fixed in 5.01 and I hope that works.
If you are not aware how to perform the factory image then visit the link below..

Dude why do you keep responding to threads from November last year? Need to bump your post count or something? It's most annoying

Hi,
I still want to stick with 4.4.2.
Is there any custom rom for the shield which support charging and USB OTG at the same time?
Thx
Nope. Either you make one using old source or upgrade to 5.0. Why do you want to stay on 4.4 anyway?

5.0 isn't as fluid as 4.4.2 for me. Sometimes the os take some time before it move to the next screen, ...
Also some important programs doesnt get updated.
And the lock screen notification function suck. It always disable apps which I strictly enabled for notifications.

5.0 is working well for me. Maybe try a factory reset and see where that gets you?
Hello everybody i just updated my One Plus One to latest COS13 Stock ROM which is 6.0.1 marshmallow. I am always having trouble with this screen overlay issue popup thing whenever i try to open certain apps in marshmallow. I want to know why is this a feature in marshmallow? It wasn't a feature in lollipop or kitkat so why does it need to be in marshmallow? This might be another reason google doesn't know what they are doing and its driving me insane. Can someone tell me what this screen overlay thing is and why we need it to be in the ROM? It's just a pain in the butt right now and i can't find any good information about it.
Thanks in advance
Its a overlay over the screen, to draw buttons over the screen or to make the display tinted for evening use.
Its to improve security, stop apps from using overlay to trick you with malicious intent.
So you gotta disable overlay app before you install app etc.,
Check if live display is on.
Go to system/app/ system cog icon and draw over other apps.
Hey guys, Can you please tell me if their are bugs on Oreo version?
Hello, I think it really depends of the model (AL00, L04, L09, etc.). I have an AL00 and don't have any bugs.
From what I read in the forums:
-battery drains faster.
-connectivity issues with WiFi
I am running L14, does anyone know what bugs there are. Firmware Finder says approved for installation
My phone is L09 version with firmware FRD-L09C432B562
Without any bugs.
Battery is better than in Nougat.
WiFi connectings very good.
Didn't faced any bugs, apart battery slightly worse than Nougat.
You cannot expand notifications on lockscreen anymore.

Hi Haykweb,
can you tell me if the fingerprint sensor works the way it did on Nougat, e.g. swiping down brings down the notification bar, pressing once is a screenshot, pressing twice opens flashlight....
Cause I heard that the functionality of the fingerprint sensor got limited in Oreo...
Thanks!
Ric
