Brodit proclip now fitted. - Nexus 6P Accessories

Hi all. I've just fitted the Brodit proclip to my car and I thought I'd share my findings.
1. The holder will fit the Nexus 6P complete with DBRAND skin. It will not however, support a case.
2. The built in charger is USB C however it only outputs at 2, not 3 amps. The phone simply shows as "charging" rather than " charging rapidly".
3. Fitting is straight forward as no tools are needed to get the mount to stay in place. The kit i went for is a hard wired kit which did mean removal of parts of the dashboard was necessary in order to tap in to a live and a ground. Thankfully the wiring is clearly labeled.
4. The mount is a tilt/swivel mount so it didn't take long to find a good position.

Qi Wireless Charging Mod

Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone had technical expertise or info on what points one could try soldering to in order to get a Qi charging mod working for this tablet? I had done one based on instructions for the Nexus 7, and would be interested in doing a wireless charging mod for the note.
I was just curious if anyone has looked into this? I searched the net and couldn't seem to find anything on it.
Based on what I found below, it would seem that I run one wire from the Qi pad to pin 6 (+ve 5v 1.8a "V_ACCESSORY_5.0V P") and one to pin 16 (HC GND High current Ground, -ve). Based on how small it is I would be looking for alternate solder spots I would imagine.

Galaxy S4 Active - Wireless charging options

The S4 Active charging port have a rubber cover and I bet with constant open / close, this rubber will wear off or even fall off.
Hence, I am looking for a wireless charging solution, while waiting for Samsung to sell their version. Do you have any suggestions?
There seems to be many, like Metrans solution shown below. I am not sure if this will fit in the S4 active and NOT interfere with the rubber seal around the back cover.

Car mount for Mi4

In this thread we can share knowledge about Mi4 car mounts.
I haven't found any good car mount yet, only universal ones like these:

In my opinion these universal car mounts suck... Your phone never fits in 100%, and putting your phone into the mount or getting it out is a hassle.
My experience with previous phones has taught me that car mounts don't have to be expensive, but they should fit your phone like a glove. The car mount on the picture below (for a Samsung Galaxy i9000) is cheaper than $10, but it mounted my old i9000 for years without a problem.
I have been looking for days now to find a good car mount for my new Mi4, but without success..
Please share the method you guys use to mount your Mi4's in your car, so we can help out new Mi4 owners like myself...

[Q] Anyone uses dual suction cup car holder with Z3?

Does anyone use any of these:

My question is if its steady enough.?Also, if s.one bought from some specific place can he recommend?
Are the suction cups and the vacuum of good quality and strong enough?
Yes I tried one in a friends G63 (that thing is known for having a stiff suspension)
Very good suction on both ends, stiff enough for all kinds of use except video recording where it shakes a lot without extra support.
Tightening the rounded screws too hard will eventually make it loose within a couple of months
I have ordered one from Aliexpress. I need it only for in-car navigation.

I've always found suction cups slide off the windshield - have you looked into brodit proclips? love those things.

Wireless Charging contacts on back of the phone question

Quick question.
So, on the back of the phone are 6 contact points variously positioned above and beside the battery.
I know they are used for charging wirelessly when a Qi cover or receiver are installed. However, they only use 2 of the contact points, so what is the functionality or possible uses for the remaining 4 points?
In the picture you'll see the red arrow points to the 2 points side by side used to for wireless charging. The other points I've indicated by placing a box around them for identification.
Does anyone know what they can be used for?
Thanks
