So i got my nexus 6p yesterday, and i want to order a USB C to USB female cable, and i was wondering which one to order? i really don't want to fry my new phone, so i'll have to ask. I found one on ebay, which had 344 sold, so it might be ok. it was very inexpensive, but i don't know about the quality of the cable. Link: http://goo.gl/3Noo8V I also looked at the google store, and found one there. Would you reccomend me to buy that one instead? Link: https://goo.gl/CzxgLA
Any replies are appreciated.

About how to choose Type-C cable, you would like to check Google engineer Benson Leung, he reviewed nearly all Type-C cables on market.
See his review on http://www.amazon.com/gp/pdp/profile/A25GROL6KJV3QG/ref=cm_cr_rdp_pdp

Can anyone recommend a long (6' +)USB cable that's compatible with the Touchpad? I bought a 6' from Ebay, but it was crappy. I could not use it to connect to PC, and the charging takes longer than the normal USB cable that came with TP.

I just posted that I found a compatible 6' cable (actually a pair of them at Meritline for $4.99 after using the discount code). The description on Meritline says that the cable they're selling is compatible with the Evo.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475537
Let me know if the code still works.
The Meritline link is for HDMI cable, not USB. I was not able to find any micro USB cable there that say it's compatible with the EVO.
The Walmart product comes with a 5' USB cable. I think that's sufficient for me. Thanks!
This one from Amazon has been flawless for me.
Sorry, can't post links. Search B006DCSUB0 . That is the ASIN# on Amazon.
Exactly the one I was going to order. Glad it works!

I've been checking Benson's reviews regularly for a short micro to type-c cable for my ha2. It's been a few weeks since I last checked, but I haven't found anything confirmed to be specifications compliant. I'll check later tonight.
Yeah I haven't found no information either..
Came here looking for the same answer? I can't get my OPPO HA-2 to work with my Nexus 5x. I bought a Micro to USB C converter cable but it doesn't seem to work. Might be due to specific wiring for USB OTG.
Has anyone here had luck?
Hi, I couldn't get my OPPO HA-2 and Nexus 6P working with converters. I found a thread in reddit pointing to a USB C to Micro USB by Anker (Anker USB-C to Micro USB Cable (3.3ft) for USB Type-C Devices Including the new MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nokia N1 Tablet and More - $7.99 on Amazon) and ordered it last week. Just wanted to let everyone know that it works perfectly (definitely stereo, and not mono like some users reported).

Hey, it was working? I also tried a cable type c micro usb, but I have not earned anything, support oppo told me that the type c is not supported.
Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can find the original Google provided USB C to A cable adaptor that comes in the box with the Nexus 6p? I'm not looking for a longer one as that one worked perfectly for my needs. I haven't seen it anywhere online, not even at the Google Store.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
This isn't the OEM cable, but it's a 1.5 foot cable from MonoPrice
https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=103&cp_id=10303&cs_id=1030319&p_id=13813&seq=1&format=2
For the price, you're probably better off getting a 3 or 6 foot cable to keep around in the event you don't have access to a USB C charger if you are not at home or something.

This one was also cleared by the Google person who tests all the cables

I have this cable in white/silver. It's a nice cable, but it's 6 feet long.
The google engineer benson had approved some complaint type c to a cables on his amazon profile.
I've been looking for a short one as well, but I haven't seen anything less than 0.5m so far.
Does anyone know where I can buy a good converter that charged quick and is otg functional?
There's a few available on AliExpress. I searched for "micro usb-c otg" and found them. But not sure what speed they'd let you charge at.

I found one. Thanks
Every converter that is tried has been crap. Better to just get new cables.
i bought this converter about a week ago, and so far so good, 3 pieces

Does this work as a charging adapter or is it just for data transfer? It came with my phone.

Cable is also very important, not only converter. Yeah, better off just buy new 5A cables.
I have heard that one has to be careful when purchasing USB-C cables as poor ones can damage your device.
There is a website (bensonapproved . com) and a well known spreadsheet that lists the best cables. However, there are no USB-C extension cables listed (e.g. male to female).
Where can I find the best one? Ideally I am looking for a cable that is sold on Amazon-UK, but I don't mind going elsewhere to get a quality cable. Amazon sell one by "Cable Creations". However, some of their products are rated both good and bad on the spreadsheet.
I would like to purchase a USB-C extension cable to connect a Nintendo Switch to its dock. I know I can just slide the Switch into the dock, but for the way my TV cabinet is set up, a cable would make things much easier. I've tried asking on Nintendo forums but have had no replies, so I hope someone here can help. Thanks!
