Hi
I have had my vox for about a year now, and yesterday I updated the ROM, and installed SmartToolKit on it. I was then browsing my contacts, when the phone suddenly freezed. Then I pushed the "turn off button" on the top of the phone, but nothing happened. Then I had to remove the battery. When i put in the battery again the phone wouldn't turn on anymore, and it still wont. I have tried to hard reset it, but nothing happens. When I try to turn on the phone, the LED lights for about a second, and then it goes out. The display doesn't show anything, and the phone doesn't vibrate. I have tried to take out the memorycard and simcard, but it does not help. It can go to boot mode when i push and hold the camera button while pluggin in the USB cable. I have tried updating the ROM again ind boot mode. But that doesn't help. What is wrong, and what can I do?

Yes I have tried that. Still can't get it to work.. Do you know what I can do ?
Hi, my phone got a little wet, it worked after i dried it. Then i noticed the power button was not working. I opened the sliding keyboard and my phone lit up, so the phone was working fine. The battery drained and now i can't turn the phone back on. Is there any way of turning it on? do i have to boot another rom? If the power button is dead, can i remap the button to one of the other keys? when i charge the phone, the light comes on and shuts off after 10 minutes or so. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
i guess no response means there is no solution, i will try to boot another rom maybe that can work to turn on the phone and then remap the key

Hi all !!! Sorry for my English but I need your help
I commented what is happening with my phone N5 (which for good and evil is always stock without root or anything, with corresponding OTA updates.)
1- Yesterday afternoon at lunchtime while reading a book in playbooks, I notice that suddenly disappears one line and then appeared intermittently. I close the app and noticed the same thing happening on the screen menu. I shut down the cell and turn on again and I thought it must be an application be kidding. But still does.
2 Also yesterday I happened to change the security on the phone screen. After a while of normal operation, try to turn it on the screen with the button, nothing, the screen goes "black", with light and retrolight turned on but no picture no nothing .
Called the cell to see if it works or is turned off and the phone rings but the screen nothing. Try turning it off and on again by holding the on / off / lock button and the phone restarts, but the screen nothing. In one such attempt to do the above it is seen that managed to turn it off. And I get it on and do a normal boot, except that the picture of my screen is changed to the original. Change the lock screen which was previously using (slip). And it seemed that out or some conflict with the lock. In one of those again pressed the ON / OFF / lock as would normally and it starts all over again.
After I magically back to life, I want to make a full wipe as I think it should be an app that is doing some conflict or something. BUT ....
3I turn off the phone and then press the keys VOLUME UP / DOWN and ON / OFF is normally off, squeezed the first screen with the options but options RECOVERY / BOOTLOADER appears in red I choose RECOVERY give the ok with the key and .... andriod robot appears with the legend below that says something (I do not remember well) without or without controls options appears. So its seems thatI dont have recovery.
After that keep pressing the key ON / OFF and the phone turns off and / or reboot normally. All this I did it again to see if the error reappears and looks that I do not have recovery.
The failure of the screen is increasing. I dont know if they are separate problems or is it all the same problem.
Sorry if I was too long but I need the help of you.
UPDATE Now it seems that the screen died, since I do not achieve to turn it on as before, the light and the retrolight its ok. The phone receives calls and notifications but the screen stills black.
Thanks all.

sometimes things just "derp". itll happen more often if you dont reboot your phone often. also, your phone will be a little bit more responsive if it gets reboot once a day or two.
RMA or fastboot it back to stock, if the screen doesnt turn on afterwards then it looks like a hardware issue, open device and reconnect the display.

Thank you Republicano!!
I think too that its a hardware issue. I already see on you tube problems like mine.
Thanks again!!
This has happened 2 times lately, at least once for sure while on the charger over night.
I wake up,and have notifications from over night so the light is flashing. I try to open the phone, and nothing happens . The phone is very hot also. So I long press the power button and up volume at the same time, and phone vibrates 3 times , then shuts off. I can then turn the phone back on ,and after a few min it cools down, and operates normally.
I purchased this device from a sony store in Thailand where I live ,and is is unlocked. Please Please help me figure this out. Thanks in advance. Everything is up to date also. The phone has onboard diagnostics, if turned on it can send information to sony to help find problems. Should I use that system to help?
Thanks again, B
Check what apps you have given permission to provide notifications. Sounds like one is possibly looping.
Looping app??

I hope this screen shot attached. Check these usages for me please. What do you think? Thanks.
Doesn't look like anything there would cause an issue. I don't have any issues and I don't use stamina mode. Possibly try it a couple nights without stamina mode?
I'll try it. Thanks
I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 and there is no ROM on it. It had TWRP installed and working, but today it stopped booting. If I push the power button
nothing happens like the battery is dead. I went ahead and bought a new OEM battery and put it into the phone. I plug in the charger and for a
few seconds, the black screen shows a battery in the middle with a lightning bolt. Then it goes back to black ... I let it charge overnight but when I
go to turn it on, it still does nothing. no matter how long I hold the power button, nothing happens. I tried power + home + Vol and still nothing.
Just a black screen and no LEDs light up. Nothing ... if I plug it back into power the battery icon shows again in the middle of the screen with a
lightning bolt, then goes back to black.
What could this mean ?? Is there anything I can try ? the phone was booting into twrp just fine until today.
Please help !!

Flash stock rom latest with odin
Charge the batteries outside of the phone, with a standalone charger first.

Mmm ok I can try, I am very new with this phone, but have much experience with Odin and flashing, could you please point me to
the Stock ROM I should use?
Will this one be ok to try ? https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/j700t-development/rom-optimum-stock-v1-fullofhell-t3701168
Thank you so much ...
PS...( dodo224 ) I do not have a standalone charger to charge with so I can not try that method of charging. I will try Odin tho.

I dont have that phone so cant suggest you any roms, just make sure its stock and latest. Also i doubt that its a battery issue as a brand new battery has some charge which should have turned on the phone when you tried.
you can download your stock rom here: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
download the latest one.

Hi -
I am a bit confused ... how can I flash anything if the phone will not turn on ? I can't even use Odin. If I push the power button on the phone
nothing happens. The only action I ever see is when I plug in the power cord to the phone, for about 5 seconds a big picture of a battery
with a lightning bolt through it, then the screen goes black again.
Thoughts please ???
Thank you
PS. I have tried different chargers and different batteries, but still the same result's.

Since you're new, have you tried pulling the battery, putting it back, then holding power, home, and volume down buttons simultaneously? It wasn't clear if that was the problem with using Odin or not.

Hi again -
first off Yes I have tried power-vol-home but again nothing happens. No screen. Just black. The ONLY TIME the screen comes on is if I put the charger into the phone..the screen ONLY comes on for 5 seconds displays the battery and shuts OFF. I have NO ROM / NO TWRP. . it is all gone. I had TWRP but if its there I cannot boot to it. No fast download / download / recovery nothing happens, only the battery ICON for 5 seconds. I have tried three batteries and none of them will help. It will NOT charge either.
Also Sandeepkumar - sorry I was not clear. There is NO OS. No Rom. So there is no way to turn on usb debugging. Please help ! If you have any other ideas, or you need any more info from me
Thanks again all !!
PS... Just so you all know, It was ALL working prior to this. It was rooted/TWRP/Custom ROM ... all fine. Then I deleted ROM/OS by mistake from TWRP, then this all happened

right, so now what we need to do is , connect your phone to computer while the device manager is opened on it. that way we can check if computer recognises the device in any mode. if it shows something in usb section then maybe we can look for a way to bring the phone in download mode or some other mode.

Okay, we must not check this pc for the device, open device manager using windows + X. Then selecting device manager from that black menu that pops up. Inside device manager, look for the list of usb devices, it should be near the end of list. Now when you plug a usb, you either see usb mass storage device or you see unrecognised device. Check what happens when you plug the phone and battery sign shows up

Okay, so if the phone doesnt show up in device manager then i guess there is nothing that we can do. I have ran out of ideas. Maybe its time to send it to customer support.
As you're trying all this, is your battery fully charged?

FYI I charged the battery in a universal charger, now phone boots fine. Battery was just too low to take a charge from phone.
Thanks again
