[Completed] Camera2api - XDA Assist

I have a galaxy s5 with CyanogenMod 13 installed. I want to use manual focus. I tried a lot of apps including manual camera but my phone is not able to use manual focus. Camera 2api is a software or hardware? Is there any way to enable it?Which is the best app for manual settings?

[Completed] Please Help Me (I am severe problem with my Android Tablet PC video recording)

Hello,
Awesome XDA developers. I am seriously in need for some helping hands for my Tablet PC. I have got a China Octa Core 7 inch tablet pc with WUXGA display, MT6592 Octa Core processor, 2GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, Android 4.2.2 OS , 13.3 MP REAR CAMERA, 5.3 MP front camera etc.
So far the tablet is so good with Android 4.2.2 OS. The china company recently gave me an updated ROM for the tablet PC. The update includes Android 4.4.2 OS. I installed the firmware with SP Flash tool 5.5. After installing the OS, I was very happy to enjoy KiTkaT. Every thing were perfect.
Except one strange problem I am facing with Android 4.4.2 KiTkaT upgrade. I can take photos in 13.3 MP high resolution with the rear camera. But when I record videos with "Fine" recording mode or any other modes (low, medium high or fine), the video gets recorded in 640x480 low resolution only. I tried every camera settings did not work. I also check the "build.prop" settings & "camerasize.xml" settings. But nothing worked. For both the front (5.3 MP) and rear camera (13.3 MP) records videos in 640x480 low resolution where as the same camera take photos in 5.5 MP (Front Cam) & 13.3 MP (Rear Cam) resolutions.
But for Android 4.2.2 OS, both the cameras could record videos with 1920x1088 resolution when you choose "Fine" as the video recording mode. I am a beginner level developer. I can not get anything to fix the problems. I reported this to the tab company, they said the firmware company can not fix the problems now. And asked me to use the Android 4.2.2 OS. I have also googled for possible helps with this firmware problems. I found that modifying libcameraservices.so & media_profiles.xml may fix the problems. I found the file "libcameraservices.so" and copied to my PC, opened it with a HEX Editor but am not that expert to correct it. Please help me.
Can the XDA forum experts help me with this miserable problems. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Please help. :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Thanks & Regards
Those are libraries that are included in the firmware. Those can't be edited with a Hex editor. Not effectively anyway. What I'd suggest instead is to see if you can install Google Camera App.
But if that too does not work, then for you, the only other thing might be going back to 4.2 short of rebuilding the firmware with right libraries.
Tried Google Camera But Failed

Thanks for your quickest reply to ma text.
I installed google camera. After getting it installed from the play store. It closes with an error when I try to access the camera settings. I also tried to do a trick by copying the "libcameraservices.so" from the Android 4.2.2 firmware & then copying it over the "libcameraservices.so" Android 4.4.2 firmware. Then I rebooted the phone, but it got stuck in the boot logo never rebooted.
Is there any possibility to correct the parameters of libcameraservices.so (Android 4.4.2 firmware) to fix the error..?? I am not that expert in building a custom ROM yet. Can you please help me out..??
Here is the libcamerservices.so for bot Android 4.4.2 & 4.2.2
Hi,
I am upload the "libcameraservices.so" file that I copied from the both the fimware system files. Is there any expert who can check the difference between these two..?? And correct the parameters so that it is possible to record video in 1920x1088 resolution for Android 4.4.2 OS as well.
Thanks & Regards
Thanks for sharing. But I think you want to post in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting in order for one of the Expert developers to help you.
I have posted there.

Hello Perseus,
I have posted there. But I did not get any reply for post yet. Am still waiting and having a belief that, someone can really help me with this from XDA.
I apologize, please see the mission of Assist as mentioned by 2 Stickies on this forum.
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem. Perhaps you can't find posts on how to root your phone, install custom recovery or maybe you have questions about how to navigate and use features on the site.

[Completed] Can't open my camera in Cyanogenmod 11 Kitkat 4.4 installed Galaxy Y(GT-S5360)

I've seen all the threads in XDA developers forum, visited at least 10 different sites, watched 50 videos(at least), tried all the apps and flashed all the ROMs(which would support my device) and yet my camera app doesn't open properly.
The Stock camera app says "Can't Connect to the Camera", Cyanogen Camera 2.0.0.4 fails to start, other third-party camera apps fail too.
I've tried flashing camera patch ROMs and my phone says an error and aborts the installation.
I've tried almost everything. I think the ROMs I'm trying to flash don't actually support my Galaxy Y, even when they say.
So, does anyone know anything else to do? I really need the camera, pretty badly if you ask :/
Note that:
I used,
1) CWM Recovery 6.xxxx something
2) Bangprovn Kernel
3) cm-11-20140719-NIGHTLY-totoro.zip
4) Gapps 4.4 Ultra Stripped Masuele 02-02-14 .zip
another note: I think my GAPPS had some issues because it didn't have the Stock camera app in the appdrawer(but it was accessible via Gallery), the gallery app didn't work and I had to install Cyanogen Gallery and things like that.
I'm somewhat a newbie in Modding, so I use youtube, and the modding was successful, whereas the camera fix wasn't.
Thanks in advance

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
This post may help (if it's more than advice for CM7)...
you need to use percys kernel and percys latest rc build
whitexp builds will have bugs that have been fixed in percys builds

The lack of camera in the app drawer means that the ROM was compiled without the proper support. Been there, done that. No wonder why gallery didn't act properly either.
I cannot find the CM11 you reference, but if you go back to stock and still cannot access camera, then you have a hardware issue.
Any other questions you have can go here:

Camera App: Asus Pixelmaster - CM Camera
My device is a Zenfone and is running with the last build of CM 13 released for it, although, the camera never worked properly before. Every time I try to take a pic, my device freezes and shut down the camera app. Is there any workaround avalaible to fix this annoying issue?
PS: Both apps are used without filters or in the manual mode.

HOPE U GUYS ENJOY IT!!
I DON'T OWNED THE APK BUT I JUST HELP YOU GUYS TO FIND A WORKING GCAM FOR REDMI S2.
Hi @fazzryizwan, thread is being closed as there are multiple GCam threads in the forum. Having multiple threads for a single mod is not productive, and it is better to have all the discussion in one place. Kindly continue the discussion, if needed, in the following thread:

Thanks for understanding!
