[Review] Affinity Series Case by Poetic - LG G5 Accessories

Get the case on Amazon, HERE.
First of all, I typically am not a fan of a clear case for many reasons. Dirt or dust particles are easily seen through the case, they scratch easy and don’t hold their elegance anymore, etc. But I must say this… The Affinity Series case from Poetic is pretty awesome actually. I’ll save you the details of the selling points, because that’s their job. So let’s get right into the pros and cons of this case, shall we?
Cons: It’s pretty hard to get the phone into the case and I was worried I may actually break my phone doing so. That’s it. Nothing else. Seriously. This may not even be considered a CON. By the way, I didn’t break my phone, and it is only like this for the first fit. After that, it’s pretty easy to remove and reinstall the case. I use the corner method. One at a time, until it all locks in.
Pros: The case is an EXTREMELY snug fit on the phone and not bulky at all. So much so that you probably won't be able to get dirt and dust under the clear parts of the case. I’m actually quite impressed with this. I usually remove my case and have to wipe down the phone a bit to make it “pretty” again. The case itself had a clear film over it to prevent any unwanted smudges during first install. This was a pretty nice addition. It made the overall casing experience feel more professional. Silly I know, but that’s just how I felt. The camera cutout is very precise and evenly cut all the way around, and the case does not interfere with the wide angle lens. This is tough to find for the LGG5. Even the cutout around the power button/fingerprint scanner is quite nice. It’s actually cut out a bit further away from the actual button, so you get more of an actual fingerprint read instead of a finger tip read. The individual volume buttons are a plus as well. I look for this in all cases I purchase. This has actually proved to be quite nice. It just feels more natural. All in all, this is a great case. For obvious reasons, I will NOT be doing a drop test with this case. This is my primary phone and I can’t afford to take any chances. If you are looking for something that is both stylish and elegant that shows off the phone itself, then this is the case for you. It provides great protection for the day to day user who may just toss their phone on their desk at work or a coffee table. If it were to be dropped, it would probably be ok. Maybe not so much on pavement, but then again as with most newer devices, the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Revolution case by Poetic Review

Poetic offered me to review their case, and they sent me one completely free. I want to thank them first for this kind offer.
To begin with design;
Quality of material is really good.
It looks great :good:. Compared to the other armor cases i saw, Revolution has a cool and better looking design for sure. It does not make your phone like old army satellite phones like others.
Cuts are precisely aligned. It has cuts for both mics on top and bottom.
The stand on the back offers great functionality , also adds a good-looking detail to back side.
It offers a better grip on the phone.
Field of profession: Protection
Nothing much to say really. For sure one of the best. Case feels really solid.
Also has dust protection caps on usb and headphone ports. It really gives you confidence about drop protection. I feel like a dont need do worry about dust or dropping my phone anymore.
Cons:
As a natural downside of this high protection, phone feels a little bit bigger and thicker.
I think it is hard to put the phone to the case and back off(Maybe there is an easier way than I did). But if you need this kind of protection I guess you dont need to do it often.
To conclude:
It is one of the best cases offering that much protection also with an elegant design. Feels solid and durable, no worries about dropping. If you need that much protection, I would definately recommend that.
As a results I give this product 9/10.

Glad you liked it
I'm pretty sure this is the ugliest design possible. Wouldn't put it on my phone if they paid me.
It seems too big to be good for daily use

Protection vs Convenience!
I got one too for the review! Here's my list of pros & cons:-
Pros:-
- Protection
When they say protective case, I didn't realize they literally meant every letter of it! This shell is so damn hard, I can beat the **** out of a mugger if it ever comes to that. I'm pretty sure even if I drop the phone on the ground from the first floor, nothing will happen to the phone unless the screen hits directly on some elevated object. So I'll give it a thumbs up on protection category. The case is damn solid! The brand also claims that the case is shock resistant, although I didn't get a chance to test it out myself (or may be I don't want to find that out). The case also covers the volume rocker and the power button with its own tactile buttons.
- Dust Resistant
Putting the case on is quite a challenge, however once done, it doesn't leave much space in-between the case and the phone itself. The USB Port and the 3.5mm Audio Jack has a dedicated pull-up flaps which are easy to open and close. So, overall, it has some dust protection too.
- Excellent Grip
The case is built with some reinforced TPU (or similar material) with texture on the sides which provides excellent gripping to the holding hand. Even if you drop it, doesn't look like it's gonna make any difference anyway!
- Built-in Kickstand
Not just the case, even the built in kickstand is made of metal and it definitely feels solid unlike some lousy kickstands which come with many other cheap cases. So you have the power kick it out and enjoy movies/videos (or games if you use a gamepad) anywhere you want.
Cons:-
- Size
Huge! That's what it is. Edge+ is already hard for some to handle it with one hand but putting this cover on, it becomes almost impossible for them to operate with one hand. It widens the phone by atleast 1.5-2 cms.
- Weight
With power comes responsibility. Similarly, with protection comes additional bulkiness! At 90 grams (3.2 ounce) this is the heaviest case I've ever used. At 153 grams ( 5.4 ounce), Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is one of the slimmest and lightest phablets in the market and this case would put that to complete shame!
- Case On/Off
With my Gear VR, I need to take off my phone's case every now and then! With this case, that's not happening. It took me almost 15 minutes (first time and the only time) to put this case on. Trust me, it's damn hard to pull out the frame ( the plastic bumper) from inside the case and putting the phone inside is even harder! Though once done, it's definitely protected! Now, taking off the case is another challenge!
- Buttons
Due to this reinforced TPU material, the buttons on the case are a bit harder than usual. So you might have to use some extra strength when you want to access the power button or volume key, you still get the tactile feedback though!
The Final Verdict
If you work in a harsh environment and your sole purpose of a case is protection of the phone, this case is definitely for you. But if you hands are short or you like keeping your phone in your jeans pocket or you want to show off how cool is that edge display of your phone, this case isn't for you! Check out the HD images for a better view!
First I would like to thank Poetic for sending me a free sample to do a review of it.
I received Poetic Revolution case one week ago and I decided to test it for a while before I write a review.
At the first sight I was astonished by a quality of a case, I have never seen case with more details before. I really like its millitary look. I love how all holes are precisely cut out. They are covered with a dust protectors which is really nice. When you hold your phone in this case you are completely sure iz will not slip out of your hands.
I found metal stand really useful especially when I watch movies, have video conversation with my girlfriend or when I cook lunch and cannot hold my phone.
When It comes to protection I am sure it will prevent my phone of taking damage. My son dropped phone on the floor two times and phone survived just very well without cracking.
Cons:
- It is a little bit too bulky (but it is ok as protection is its main role)
- There should be screen protector intergrated in this case
- Every time I insert charger I am afraid to scratch bottom of my phone.
Overall I am keen on this case because it gives best protection to my phone. I love how nice it looks on my phone.
If you want highest level of protection for you smartphone you shoud definitely give it a try:

I received the Poetic Revolution case as well about a week ago. I wanted to give it a weeks worth of use before giving a review.
Pros
(1) Very well built. This thing is rock solid and the tolerances are super tight. This keeps out the dust and offers great protection from falls.
(2) Great Design... The overall aesthetics of this case are great. You can tell a lot of detail went into designing this case. It's funny to mention but I found the integrated backplate (blue plate) on the inside of the case to be impressive how it's molded into the rest of the case.
(3) It's awesome that they included a kickstand. I miss the days of old when phones had kickstands built into them, but this is a great alternative option since the newer phones don't have the kickstands anymore.
As far as CONS go.... there really aren't any that I could find. I did have a couple annoyances that I'll list below but these are subjective of my own opinion and shouldn't be viewed as a flaw in the design or a need to change it in any way, just a couple suggestions that would make "myself" like the case even more...
(1) Not a fan of the caribeaner loop... I get why it's there, and could be useful to some, but I feel like I'd just want to get some snips and cut it off... I wear baggy pants and can still fit this big case/phone in my pocket, however that caribeaner loop would catch on my jeans and just constantly annoy me. A minor hindrance, but I'd prefer it without the loop.
(2) I noticed the kickstand would "tap" against the backside of the case. This would be a little annoying were there any vibrations going on. For instance when my phone is in my car dock stand, the vibrations from the car/road would make this rattle ever so slightly. My suggestion, integrate some sort of rubber/silicon surface just under where the kickstand meets the backside of the case.
Final thoughts....
This is a great case that would definitely protect your phone had you dropped it, or are in a harsh environment. The design is eye-catching and worthy of the newer era of smartphone cases. The kickstand feature is a definite plus, and even though I am not a fan of it, I could see how the caribeaner loop would be useful for the outdoorsman or a construction worker.
I received my Revolution case from Poetic over the holidays (thank you guys).
The first thing that I noticed was the build quality!! It's amazing guys. You won't be banging up your phone with this case protecting it!!
All of the cut outs are very precise. The case has dust flaps to cover the charger and ear phones sockets. The case is a two part case that you take the rubber inner out and after fitting the phone into it then you put the outer tougher part on. It does add a little size to the phone but it's going to protect it from and mishaps. After all...protecting a phone that costs more than most gadgets out there is the main thing. I have used it now for a couple of weeks and I must say that when you buy a Poetic Case you're buying the best.
I am a proud owner of two different cases from Poetic and I promise you that one you try you will always buy from them.
I only found one slight hindrance and that's the kickstand. After a day or two it seems have become a little loose and taps and rattles. I just placed a tiny piece of blue tac under it to keep it closed.
Please try these cases from Poetic guys...I really speak highly enough!!!

I have been using the Poetic Revolution case on my gold Galaxy S6 Edge+ for about a week and a half
now. Here are my thoughts.
When looking for a rugged case, the Poetic Revolution marks off every box, and then some. This is one
of the best, and toughest cases I have ever seen. When not at work, I need a case like this for my phone.
Hiking, camping, car shows, at the lake, my kids and I are always outside. I have 2 young sons, with this
case on, I am not concerned if they grab my phone and throw it around. I have an 85 pound puppy that likes to chew. Thankfully he has never gotten a hold of my phone, but I feel confident this case would protect it.
When receiving this case, I thought it was going to be all black, but it was not. It is black with very dark
brown accents. I personally liked this as it makes the case stand out more, but in a subtle way. I also
think it makes the case look really good with my gold phone. I also really like having the port covers.
While out on the sand rails and quads out in the desert, they keep the dirt out. When you are at home
with your phone on the counter, they can keep them covered long enough for you to save your phone
should something get spilled.
I have seen where some people have said that this case is very difficult to take on and off, however, I
do not feel that way. Is it more difficult than just a thin snap on case? Of course, but I have no concern
that this case is coming off my phone if it gets dropped. I have used cases that go on and off in the same
way in the past, and I prefer them. The way it’s made, it is thinner than an Otterbox type case, but in my
opinion stronger because you don’t have 2 plastic pieces snapping together.
The kickstand on this case is also among the best I've seen. In my experience, most kick stands are
made from a cheap material, or even if they aren’t, they pop out of the case so easily the little nubs that
are used to snap it into place break. Not here, where it is very tactile in extending it to use it, but it will not pop out of the case on you. One other benefit is that I have been able use it both horizontally and vertically.
When it comes to the loop at the top, I could go either way. I would be happy with a case that did not have it, but I think it could also be more useful with some minor improvements. If I am just hiking, I feel confident when hooking it to my backpack. However, when out riding in the desert, I do not feel that it is strong enough to hook on to my keys or someplace similar. If it kept the loop, I would use it more if it were reinforced with a harder material. Either way, I think this was a good idea to separate their case from others.
Though I was pretty sure they would not work, I did test both wireless charging and Android Pay (NFC) with this case on, and neither worked. This was not a big deal for me as I do not use Android Pay much, and I only wirelessly charge at work, where I can just take the phone out of the case if need be.
This case was provided to me by Poetic for my honest opinions. For the price of this case (currently $19.95 on Amazon), it is superior to cases costing twice as much. Though this is my first Poetic case, it will not be my last. I was so impressed with this case that I recently purchased a Poetic case for my Galaxy Tab A after the old case was chewed by above mentioned puppy.
Looking great will definitely try it soon.

*Review* Poetic Revolution [Premium Rugged] Nexus 6P Case

Hey XDA! I wanted to drop a review for the Poetic Revolution case here. I hope you enjoy!
The Packaging:
The case comes packaged in a clear plastic bag for simple presentation. While nothing fancy, it does the job and keeps the case more affordable.
The Look & Feel:
To start, this case definitely screams and looks "RUGGED"! It has a very industrial look and is daring you to drop your phone. This case definitely looks the role of its "rugged" moniker. The frame is a rubber TPU material that definitely helps with grip, and the phone is nice to hold because of it. There are some textures on the TPU that add more to the look than anything else, but they do add a little more grip as well. There are also 3 protruding lines on the top and bottom of each side which add to the rugged look and add grip. Then there is the "Revolution" name engraved into the TPU on the right side of the case (looking at the case from the back of the phone). The back of the case is made of a hard polycarbonate plastic. This definitely adds to the protection element of the case which I will touch on later. Then you have "Poetic" branding on the bottom of the back set in a rubber section. Nice little touch. There are also 3 strips of rubber on each side of the case on the back to add more grip to the case. To wrap things up, there are some faux screws on the corners to complete that rugged and industrial look. To summarize, this case isn't for people who like slim cases. This simply isn't a slim case and it doesn't try to be.
The Features:
This case has a few built-in features that I wanted to touch on. I will start with the built-in kickstand. It feels metal to me and it feels solid. It is easy to open and close and I don't get a flimsy feel from it at all. That is a nice tough. There are also port covers built in which will keep dust and some of the elements out of your ports which I think is great. Yes, it creates a bit of a hassle to charge your phone, plug in headphones, etc., but I think they are fitting in a rugged protection case like this. There is also a loop that you can hook something through to carry your case. I thought it was a nice touch. And last is the built-in screen protector. It is made of plastic and doesn't seem to be able to be removed. I'm in between on this one. I kinda wish there wasn't one since so many people get their own screen protectors nowadays and tempered glass screen protectors are popular right now. Also, there was a slight gap in between the screen protector and the screen of the phone so I had to press down harder to generate key presses. To Poetic's credit, I have a tempered glass screen protector already installed on my phone, so that may have affected the functionality of it. So I am not going to knock the case for this one, I will chalk it up as undecided.
**EDIT** Poetic has contacted me about the issue I was having with the built-in screen protector. They said have anything else on the screen will definitely affect the functionality of the built-in screen protector, which I figured. However, they are still going to have their production team look into it to make sure nothing got past them. That's pretty cool in my book!
The Protection:
On the protection front, I would say it is definitely heavy duty grade. It is advertised as "shock absorption" and I can't say I disagree at all. This case is definitely a tank that seems like it will keep your phone safe from some pretty major drops. I never test drop protection in my reviews because my phones are personal phones paid for with my own money, so I can't take that risk. But it definitely feels like it can withstand some heavy drops. The hard polycarbonate plastic on the back and the solid construction definitely make this case a heavy hitter in the Otterbox tier of cases. As I said in my look & feel section, this case isn't for the slim case lovers. But it's not marketed that way and just from the photos you can tell that much. This case should do the job in rough situations.
The Build:
To keep this pretty simple, this is a well made case with a small hiccup. The case feels good and substantial enough to be completely confident in it. The small hiccup that I've noticed are that the buttons are the easiest things in the world to press. It's not terrible, but it will take a little bit of force to generate the press. Overall, not a deal breaker by any means, but I wanted to mention it.
What I Like:
The build quality
The looks
The built-in kickstand
The protection
The price
What I Don't Like:
The buttons
The Verdict:
Overall, this case is a win. It is well made, should protect a very good amount, and has the looks to match. And all at a reasonable price. Other than a minor issue, I have no problem recommending this case to anyone in the market for a rugged case that will protect your expensive phone.
The Score:
9/10

My review of Poetic Revolution Case with Kickstand (1/18/16)

Disclaimer: This case was provided by Poetic for free in exchange for an honest review. So here is my take:
First thing first, this case is big, bulky and heavy duty. It’s a “TANK”. It’s rugged and so well made that you feel like dropping your phone + case on purpose just for fun. It gives you that confidence that nothing is going to happen to your phone. I, however, didn't try. At some level I feel that Revolution series is going after Otterbox cases that are known for their ruggedness.
Before we talk about other things, let’s take a look at how the case looks like and how it’s built.
Look and feel:
Case I received is made of Black Plastic and Brown TPU bits. This case is constructed in two parts where the frame that holds the phone inside is made out of plastic. This plastic frame also has a built in screen protector. If you don’t already have one installed on your phone this does the job just fine. Once you have inserted the phone inside the plastic frame, you can take this sub-assembly and insert it into the main cover which is constructed out of plastic and TPU material. Putting together the two pieces really takes some effort. However once done right, the fit and finish is good and tight. So no dust or lint is getting in there.
Cutouts and Ports:
On the front it has usual cut outs for speakers, camera and sensors and they all line up perfectly. Right side has buttons which, unfortunately, are flushed so you really have to feel them, find the right one and push it to make it work. I really wish Poetic had made these buttons slightly raised from the main body. However since buttons are slightly textured, they are easy to find and operate. Ports for headphone jack and USB are perfectly aligned as well as covered with flaps (for dust protection), which is a good addition for a case like this. On the back side, cut outs for camera assembly (complete with laser and flash) and a round cutout for finger print sensor that is large enough for easy access while holding the phone in hand.
Specialties:
Two things that are special about this case are:
It has a built in carabiner loop on one end. I am sure the design intent of this loop is to put a lanyard in it but I don’t really see people walking around while wearing this phone around their necks. However, I found this feature to be extremely useful when disassembling the case. You can push down on the loop to start separating the two pieces apart which are really tight fit when assembled correctly.
Party piece of this case is the kickstand on the back. This is one of the most rugged and rigid kickstands I have ever seen on a phone case. I think its made out of aluminum (not sure though) and is very easy to open and close. It closes with tight snap giving a quality sound and feel. A perfect companion for a phone like Nexus 6P, that has a large screen for media consumption. Having this kickstand means hands free Netflix or youtube which is awesome. I wish more case manufacturers start putting kickstands on their cases.
Closing thoughts:
This case is rugged and strong enough to withstand day to day abuse and beyond. It adds weight and size to a already big phone so it’s not easy to carry it around in your pocket unless you wear a really baggy jeans or trousers. I personally would rather use this case when I am outdoors biking, trailing or hiking.
Since I already have a TGSP on my phone, I ended up removing the plastic shield that comes preassembled with this case. Having a screen protector in combination with this plastic shield makes the phone almost impossible to operate due to screen not registering touch input.
It’s currently available on Amazon for $16.95 which I think is an excellent deal. I would definitely recommend this to people who do a lot of activities outdoors. However if you are not one of them but still looking for something like otterbox but with a kickstand and a carabiner loop then this case is a perfect choice.

[Case Review] Vivid Arkansas & the Lazer by Artech21

What's up everyone! Here for another case review, and this time it's the Vivid Arkansas & the Lazer by Artech21. I typically do not review two cases in the same thread, but these are from the same manufacturer and aren't too terribly different. I'm gonna throw up 2 links at the bottom for the photos because there are quite a few of them. So let's get right into it, shall we?
-Packaging & First Impressions-
The packaging for both cases is the same. Quite minimal with a couple thin cardboard inserts that you'd typically get with a phone case. Nothing too fancy here. The cases themselves are nearly identical except for the pattern imprint on the rubber inner layer. The case trim for both is identical and are interchangeable with these two cases specifically. Over all pretty good looking cases. However there wasn't much care with the cutouts. They are extremely precise and line up perfectly with the phone, but unfortunately still have some edge shavings attached. You can see what I mean in the photos by looking at the cutouts around the power button. To me this was a little careless and really could have been fixed in the factory pretty easily.
-Fit-
These cases go on and off pretty easily. Personally, I like that. It makes swapping them out fairly quick and you don't feel like you'll do harm to the phone while doing so. This for me is pretty huge. I reviewed a case by Poetic and absolutely love everything about the case, except when it's time to take it off or put it back on. With both of the cases from Artech21, they fit quite nice, except for the screen side of the phone. On the Vivid Arkansas, the right edge had gold from the phone showing through, and on the Lazer it was on both sides. So the 1st layer/rubber shell just doesn't have that uniform snug fit that you'd want with this device. I have to point out though that this is not true for all of their cases. A friend of mine has these same cases for his S7 Edge, and they fit quite perfectly on his phone.
-Feel-
Both of these cases feel great in the hand. There is enough grip on the device to prevent it from slipping. The cutout that was used for the power button is pretty nice too. It has a sloped cut on the edge so your finger almost feels like it belongs there when pushing the power button or using the fingerprint scanner. I can't stress enough how much I like that cutout and how it was done. Great job on that one Artech21! The buttons on the case look like they would stick out, but they really don't all that much. You can still find them blindly pretty easy, so it's not terrible. Over all, not bad.
-Final Thoughts-
Personally, I'd give both cases a 7/10. They still need some fine tuning on some basic cosmetics, but all around are still a good case option to keep your phone safe. They come in many different accent colors, and I think Artech21 did pretty well despite a few minor cosmetics. The case does not interfere with the wide angle lens at all and I think these cases should be given your consideration when looking for an inexpensive case. - Until next time...

Poetic Affinity Case review

Okay so I am sure a lot of you have received Galaxy Note 7 by now as I am. (T-Mobile user) I would like to update on the case I have with this beast with pictures and hopefully help some of you out there looking for a good case.
I think the blue coral color on this case is beautiful!
Poetic brought their famous Affinity series case for Note 7 in a perfect time for the phone's release and they came back with near-perfect case. Well, the word perfect is very subjective, but if you are like me who is always looking for light, thin, see-through material (to show off the Blue Coral color of my Note 7), sturdy and protecting four corners of the phone, you will absolutely love this. And plus, this time, they fixed two imperfections that I have talked about for a while on this case and I will mention them in the end.
Look - Superb
Honestly, I do not like thick cases where you can't appreciate the thinness of your phone for the sake of phone's protection. To me, phone's design is very important as I have with me all the time and I hate to see the beautiful designs (ex. Galaxy Note series, Iphone series...) to be later covered by ugly bulky cases once you have it. Affinity case makes their case cover very unique and they do it with high quality material. As you can see from the pictures, most of cases are see-through polycarbonate material where you can still enjoy your phone's natural color. From the four corners, they connect each corners with soft shock-proof TPU material that will cover the back of the phone very minimally and with unique pattern that they call X-FORM. I also like their logo with silver color in the middle of back.
Protection - Excellent
Like mentioned above, they covered the four corners with X-FORM soft shock-proof TPU material that feels VERY sturdy. If you think of cheap chinese import TPU material, you will have to see/touch to feel difference. Once you feel/touch it, you won't worry about four corners anymore. Also, TPU material (including strips around back and corners) are scratch proof so you wont see ugly scratches. Most of back is polycarbonate, which is plastic. First, I worried about the back portion being easily scratched due to the nature of its material, but I found out that is not the case. The strips that run through back of the case are actually RAISED so it doesn't get scratched much just like most cases front sides are raised to prevent any normal wear-tear scratches from everyday living.
However, if you happen to carry your phone in an enviornment where lots of sharp materials flying around your phone, you may be better off going with more less-plastic, rigid material of other Poetic product line.
Added feature - Superb
As you can see with my pictures, this case has anti-slip side grip on each sides and this gives me such a relief. I tend to drop phone quite often and not only I need a case with good protection, but also this kind of added feature that will help me not to drop as much. Also rugged TPU strips on the back and corners help a lot as well.
Holes/Cuts - Superb
Their holes/Cuts/Buttons' positions are perfect and I cannot say any better than that. One of the imperfection this case had in the past was a little hard buttons. To me, it seemed like it requires a bit more pressure to press buttons and it was discomfort in the beginning. (You get used to it soon so it doesn't bother much later) However, they fixed it this time and it is breeze and actually fun to press them. They listened to their customers and that is a rare thing in the market. I love it!!!
Taking off the case - Awesome
Last imperfection I probably thought it would have been very hard for any owners with battery changeable phones was taking off the case. I departed from the phones with battery changeable ability a while ago so I did not have to take it off that often so it wasn't a big issue, but nevertheless, when I do need to take it off, it wasn't a pleasant experience. It was too tight to prevent any fall off from dropping your phone.
However, they fixed it, and they did it perfectly. Now, you don't have to put much pressure to take it off one corner to the other. A little bit of force and it comes off easily. It is very good that it holds the phone steadily with you worrying about it falling off on its own, but when it needs to be taken off, it does VERY easily. I seriously recommend to anyone who is looking for a case with thin, see-through, protective, good design and good features, look no further, this is the case for you.

THX for the very thorough review! :good:
I'd held off on pre-ordering this case for the latter,as on the HTC 10,this case was extremely difficult to remove,to the point where you could damage the phone if you're not paying attention, either by bending the phone, cracking the display,or,damaging the camera lens while gripping for case removal.
It was so bad that I actually made relief cuts on each corner,on the diagonal,to facilitate ease of removal.
This in no way compromised the snugness of the case,so,I suspected a design/engineering change was in-store for future versions of the Affinity case.
Glad to hear the changes were made,I just ordered a Clear/Black version for my Black Onyx Note 7.

I feel you 100% as I had HTC 10 with this case as well as LG G5 and it was pain to take it off, especially on HTC 10 as you mentioned. But, it is a night and day difference now.
Is this available for purchase yet? Only place I'm seeing it available is ebay and I'm not sure if those are third party knockoffs or not.

I can assure you, the ones on eBay aren't going to be knockoffs. The design is too intricate to bother with imitating & risking the backlash from buyers. The volume of sales isn't gonna be high enough to warrant anyone to make a knockoff.
Besides, you're protected against fraud/etc. by eBay &/or PayPal.
If you're still not convinced, you can purchase direct from Poetic or go to Amazon.
I've got the same case although my phone hasn't arrived. It's ok imo, the black plastic design on the back protrudes and trends to not feel great in my palm imo but if you don't mind that I guess it's a nice thin case. Well probably rock this until I get a replacement

I also have this case, but I am bit scared to out it on since I fear the hard plastic might scratch my phone on back. I was thinking that there is going to be some sort of cushion or enough place between them. Any comments??

Yeah, use a liquid sealer & a clear/matte body skin (in addition to the Affinity Case) for extra protection, without sacrificing the looks of the phone:

@jkforce
The Poetic Affinity Case for the Note 7 is everything you described/stated in the OP of this thread,so much that I almost regret buying the OEM Samsung Leather Case.
Both have a great feel/look/functionality,but the Poetic shows off the phones good looks & the clear w/black trim on Onyx Black looks as if it shipped from the factory w/the design, akin to a Note7 Active,if you will.
A strong recommend here & @ $7.95 shipped on e-Bay,it's an inexpensive case to add to your rotation.
