I have bought new phone Oppo F1 plus and I am having problems with notifications. I am not getting any Whatsapp, IMO, Viber notifications on my mobile. Can someone suggest any solution. (Kindly note my mobile is Oppo F1 Plus and not Oppo F1)

This issue is usually related with the "Security/Energy saving" settings of the phone. But in the case of the F1 Plus, it seems to be a bug:
community.oppo.com/en/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=45421
I hope they fix it soon.
Side track, I was hoping that there're tons of adopters for this iphonesh F1 Plus on XDA as I was scouting for a free phone to accompany my recontract of service plan. To my surprise, there're not even a forum dedicated to this phone after being launched worldwide since March 2016.

I also experienced this one before and asked OPPO customer support. You have to 'lock' the app in order to receive notifications. To do this, open the app you want to lock and then press Overview/Recent button (besides the home button, the opposite of back button, the one that opens all recently opened apps) and swipe down the app. A padlock icon should appear. After that, you should receive notifications from that app now

Will Spirit FM going to work if this phone got rooted?
Not sure @hisokiss

Yea I was surprised also, considering it's one of the top sellers in China, and up there around the world.... not even a forum..

Has anyone started to work on ROM for this phone, looking at the spec of this phone looks promising, it has a large battery capacity which is great but look at battery test for this phone it looks like stock software is not optimized, so just wondering if the community is willing to help optimize or any advise

the review of low configuration umidigi S2 you can see on Youtube
I've got the regular S2 for a couple of weeks now. It's a good phone with some downsides. Camera is not fantastic but good enough for everyday stuff. If you want amazing photos buy a flagship. Proximity sensor doesn't turn off screen properly while in a call, maybe fixed in future version. One of the major networks in Germany does not work for mobile data in most cases (O2 and Eplus joined and the phone can't handle the "data roaming").
Tech support is non existant. They will point you to their half chinese forums with barely any members that is spammed with press releases. Posting takes dozens of "money" that you must unlock with posts. Very unprofessional but maybe expected for such a relatively small company. There are no service addresses for repairs and the accessories market for that phone is very very limited. Barely any cases or screen protectors out there. If you break anything on this phone expect to get a new one. I have not tried yet but to get replacement parts for this seems near impossible at this point.
Other than that, screen is great for the resolution. Battery life is absolutely brilliant. I can get through a full day with using <40% battery and it lasts easily 3+ days on pure standby.
Wifi has become much better I think after the last firmware update. They are updating the phone but I wonder for how long. This is not a manufacturer that can or wants to support all of it's devices like big ones do.
Materials are good, maybe a bit slippery in the hands but all microblasted aluminium phones are like that.
Screen has a <1mm bezel between the side of the phone and the display surface but I don't care about that.
Build, to me, feels very good. Fingerprint sensor works well and fast. Android is 6.0.1 but I hope they will have an update to 7 or 8 at some point.
I don't care about benchmarks so I can't talk about that, my apps work well. Video streaming is fluid. No idea about 3D gaming I don't use my phone for that.
For that price it's a great phone imho.
Have just pre-ordered this device. Will wait to see what comes, hopefully able to unlock the bootloader and remove any bloatware that comes pre-installed.
It exist a custom rom for s2? I'd like
It has poor camera, other things are very good
What kind of custom could fix in it? Paranoid android?

Apparently it's possible to install TWRP on this Umidigi S2 :
https://www.getdroidtips.com/root-twrp-umidigi-s2-s2-pro/
I don't have Umidigi S2 to test but I'm very interested by the S2 Pro.
Perhaps it is possible to install Lenovo SNAPit Camera in order to improve the photos by flashing it with TWRP ? :

Does it support volt in india (to call using jio)

This post was a cut and paste from another phone.
Now the link for the custom recovery is available. I will probably give it a try just to be able to root the phone.
As of today, there is no available custom ROM available for the umidigi s2, although you can find posts on how to revert back to the stock ROM. Those posts are also just cut and pasted from other phones sharing the same cpu

I just tried that and while the recovery installs my phone wouldn't boot afterwards. Maybe because I have the main partition encrypted but maybe for another reason.
Also for me the screen was flipped 180 degrees probably due to a backwards display in this phone.

Still early days I wouldn't personally try it but I'm sure in time this phone will get Dev support , I had some feed back from umi on there FB page regarding update to 7/8 they said there waiting on MediaTek's to release source or sdk as this P20 chip was built around Android 6 at the time and the P25 around 7 that's why pro ships with 7 that's what they said , also mentioned an update coming with a week but more likely bug patch still on Jan 2017 security , not the best look on a 2017 phone 2015 os

I personally would consider it for a next phone, though I'm not sure if the TWRP image for the S2 works on the S2 pro.

Hi
Please check and correct me If I am wrong. According to UMI claimed that the first batch of S2 v1 come with non up gradable processor and hence, you can only maintain at Marshmallow version ie. Android 6 while S2 v2 (so called 2nd batch) can be upgraded to Android 7 (no idea to Android 8???). So guys, please check directly with UMI on this issue. I am thinking of getting the S2 Pro but would like UMI to confirm whether same issue with S2 v1 ???? Cheer s -

Below is the info extracted from Umidigi Forum lately .......
"Quote" They said the first batch of S2 will keep on Android 6 (there will be some updates, but nothing of update to Android 7). So the second batch of S2 and the S2 Pro will come with UMI OS Android 7. Anybody received handset with android 7.0 what date are the V2 or is that just referring to the Pro , mine is due 23/11 ordered 16/11 wondered if it will be V2 model with 7.0. Seems odd 2017 handset shipping with 2015 software .... Phone i received week ago got Android 6 so its V1. That will not work on the first v1 of Umidigi S2 sadly. It's made for MT6757D (S2 v2).
How ever there are phones out there already with MT6757 (Not MT6757D) will be on Android 7.0. "Unquote"
Hope this clear some of your thoughts. Thank you.

S2 version 1 coming with Android 6 and can't be updated to higher android version.
S2 version 2 will be coming with Umidigi OS based on Android 7. Further updates are not confirmed.
S2 pro is coming with Umidigi OS based on Android 7. Further updates are not confirmed.

Vivo seems to be at the cutting edge of hardware in terms of their biometrics,(in screen fingerprint) and pop up camera tech
But what is the stock software like ?
Do Vivo provide regular support with updates ?
Are their any beta programs ?
I have the Pro and it's been getting quite regular updates so far, but that's to be expected for a newly released phone. Funtouch OS in the V15 is quite good as well, there's some adjustment if you're coming from other flavor but not so much. My main gripe is all of this alternate android like FT, MIUI, etc. seems to be very aggressive with their memory management and goes out of their way killing processes, even when specifically told not to. Also because of the closed source nature, virtually no ROM customization and root is possible

Greetings from Hyderabad, India!
I purchased the Vivo V15 Pro last evening (Jun 14) and between the time I reached home from the Reliance Digital store I received an update! It was small (just 57 MB) but it impressed me !
Hi all,
I'm looking for a new smartphone for everyday use within £300 but no more than that. My main requirements are:
At least 5.5" Screen
Easy Bootloader unlock
LineageOS Support
Decent Selfie/Front Camera
Decent storage (32GB/64GB)
Privacy Screen available for such model
I have done some research and found a couple smartphones that are almost suitable for me.
The list is as follow:
Pocophone F1 - To unlock Pocophone F1 bootloader, I need to register somewhere and wait between 7 to 14 days for some unlock code or something like this. I hate DRM solutions and tactics like this and I'm also a big fan of Open Source so this doesn't fly well with me. Otherwise, it would be suitable.
Moto G7 - This smartphone have became Official for LineageOS recently so I have digged around and it looks like a lottery ticket as unlocking the device is flimsey and you can easily brick your device.
Any recommendations ?

Moto G7 is a joke infront of POCO F1. POCO F1 kills Moto G7 in ever way. If you already have given request for bootloader unlock to any Xiaomi phone before with a mi account, you can use it to unlock bootloader instantly of POCO F1, you can borrow someones or even the 14 days wait is worth infront of buying G7.
I have the G7 Plus which I got when it first came out. Nice phone, very stock android with some good Motorola additions. The camera has OIS, which is something that the Poco doesn't have of course. Having said that, when I got my Poco, the G7 Plus got thrown in a drawer and hasn't been used since.
I'm guessing you're British since you're using £. If that's correct you shouldn't have to wait more than three days to get your unlock code with the Poco. The frustrating bit will be finding a PC/laptop with USB 2 ports only. If you do get the Poco, you'll need a computer with USB 2 ports, a USB 2 hub will work, and make sure it doesn't have the new Ryzen processor. After that you'll be laughing all the way to the bank... Unlocking, rooting, and flashing is a doodle on the Poco...

Hey guys, I purchased find x2 pro for 1200 euro few days ago and I noticed there isn't any refocusing bokeh image feature after taking the photo same as my Xiaomi mi 8 which costs 280 euro. Did I miss something?

Apparently you're not missing anything, this is one of the useful features that are missing in the Find X2 Pro.
I like it on my S9+, with the bokeh being artificial, you can edit the strength of the effect (and even the subject in focus) after taking the photo.
It's not possible in X2 Pro.

Hey, thanks a lot for your response : ) It's very frustrating. Is here the main OPPO FIND X2 PRO forum? Are there any developers here to reply to posts as well? Is there any features requests section or any roadmap?
I also noticed another lack of feature, double tap to turn off the screen. This simple feature not exists, however, I added it by installing an app. But really, an app for this simple function on 1200 euro handset?!

I guess you mean "No"
None of the companies have main forum? or it's only OPPO? Because I have heard Oneplus has a very active forum.
Why there are not many forum discussions for the this device. Is it because this device not popular yet.
I migrated from Xiaomi mi9. I was using mi9 for more than a year and can also see the forum discussions are very active including custom ROMs.

Yes. I agree with you. Due to covid sweep, this device couldn't get to European and global market.
We may have to wait until it gets into the hands of international users.

Or they all on telegram until proper development start's
The problem with Telegram is thats it just one massive thread.
I was expecting some custom ROMs already, MIUI is ok, but I got the phone intending to put a custom ROM on it ASAP and bearing in mind the good reviews it has got over the last 6 months and how hard it is to get hold of the global versions I too, expected a lot more activity here by now.

Which Channels?
- Expensive
- One of the first native Android 10 devices, therefore a lot of difficulties with development of TWRP due to its super-partition
- Mi 10 mostly uses identical hardware, therefore many threads are in that sub-forum
- Telegram channels lead to people not posting on xda anymore (which is bad, because any random guy can host those telegram device channels, so they can disappear, it's an uncategorized mess and search is bad)
It really is not very expensive at all if you do some minor searching - £713 GBP (8/256) including import fees to the UK is cheap compared to most other flagships of similar spec.
I was surprised to find that the Pro does not share the same forum as the standard Mi 10 seeing as its only the battery and the cameras that are different, certainly any custom ROM would simply be a mildly tweaked version of the standard Mi 10's ROM, it would have been far better for the phones to share the same forum.
Telegram also not many people discussion,i already join in mi10 Pro global, and already sign out also..useless
Telegram is so messy. Not easy to find the appropriate information. Would like to know which gcam and xml file that are best for this phone.
cmi was test dummy, Xiaomi tested 50w wireless charge, 90hz screen, and encryption methods then dumped it to the trash.
