Since the Nexus 5 is one phone for every carrier (except Verizon of course) will I have to install a ROM made for Sprint Nexus 5 if I am on Sprint? I figure since I can order one phone from the play store and activate it on whichever network I want that it will be the same for ROMs, I download one Nexus 5 ROM and just install it. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.
They should be universal since the american n5 works on all 3 carriers, perhaps the euro spec n5 might need their own euro rom but since the difference is only related to the modem hardware i think one rom will rule them all since the modem normally isn't flashed with a rom.
Which note to get for easier unlocking Tmobile or Sprint, of course that have root, since ATT and Verizon note 5 have note root as of yet, so which of the two will have present and future better ROM support and will be easier (cheaper) to unlock, to use in Europe
T Mobile Note 5 or Sprint Note 5
Thanks a lot if anyone with experience or any info on this helps
any help on this, please anyone as I have to make a decision soon

I'm not a wiz on the whole subject but I'll tell you this, I moved from an AT&T note 4 and AT&T service to t-mobile service with the s7 edge. The note 4 till this day, hasn't gotten the marshmallow update while almost all carriers have released it including tmobile. Also the bootloader is locked and also no root. I said to myself I was going to give samsung another chance on tmobile. If nothing happens, then we know where the future of future samsung products go as far as rooting.

For the update.. samsung did a bad job of keeping their products up to date. The mobile carrier cannot make their own marshmallow update for note 4, if samsung doesnt make it in the 1st place. I think they want ppl to buy their new products.. And as far rooting... i think is really hard now since they work with blackberry to make KNOX better...
I currently have a note 2 and am thinking about upgrading to an edge. The one that seems to be the best deal right now is a Verizon version. It's supposed to be unlocked. Would it work with a straight talk att Sim? Also I noticed the Verizon thread is small, do any of the ROMs in the general development work for the Verizon 915v? Should I look for a different version? Trying to stay in the $200 range. Thanks guys

Second question, is the T-Mobile version unlocked like the Verizon? I noticed the T-Mobile has better Dev support

Just ordered one and I looked around but can't find the answer. Does the Sprint model have the latest update that the unlocked model has?
Really looking forward to this phone.
Thanks.

If you want it and you want to be able to mod it don't go with Sprint right now. Got it 3 days ago didn't see that someone had posted it was not able to be unlocked on Sprint without I'm assuming buying the phone outright from them regardless I don't like how they did that.
I have not rooted since I got rid of my 6P so I'm not planning on doing it with this phone more than likely. I know updates won't be as quick as unlocked versions just curious if the sprint version is running the same as the unlocked. Not counting the 10 beta obviously.

From what I've read the bootloader cannot be unlocked therefore it cannot be rooted. A Sprint rep did confirm to me that there is a Closed Beta of Android 10 and the wait for stable Android 10 won't be long. No specific date was given. OnePlus' reputation for fast updates is one of the reasons I bought this phone. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
Android 10 has already been released for Op7 pro but not yet for the Pro 5G.
