[HELP] Custom Binary is blocked by FRP Lock. What is That? - Samsung Galaxy J7 Questions & Answers

Hi Guys.
So I downloaded the new A5 (2016) ROM for our samsung galaxy j700F and put it in the sd card.
When I boot to recovery, (shut down + volume up + power + home) it shows
Custom Binary is blocked by FRP Lock in red letters and the phone shuts down (does not boot into recovery)
I took out the battery and inserted it again. Again the same problem.
But when i Simply turn it off holding power button, it turns on (no bootloop)
Then my question is guys what seems to be the problem? How can it be solved because i am dying to try this new ROM.
Please Help
Thanks in advance (don't worry i will click the thanks button too  )
Thanks & Regards

Custom binary blocked by FRP
Ok, so I have the same problem. So I attempted to reflash the firmware, successfully, did not allow me to remove the FRP. Tried the reset method I have for odin, works for phones 2016 and older, not this phone, nor my other J3's. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

bump! is anyone reading this?
anyways can anyone at least tell me how to use adb to restore or push back the stock ics fonts. without switching on the phone(preferably)
Have you enabled USB debugging.?
You can try "adb reboot recovery" (without quotes to get into recovery)
adb tutorial thread

Try different combination of hardware buttons. There will be different sequence for different phones.
Try power+volume up or down
Or all 3 together or so to get into recovery.

Can't install TWRP on nougat

Hi all
I have a brand new S7 (G930F) untouched...
can't install TWRP !!!
I've tried the Odin mode with various Odin versions (3.11.1, 3.12.3...
of course OEM Unlock and USB debugging allowed
when the phone is in DL mode, I have the following info on left side up screen
ODIN mode
ODIN DOWNLOAD SPEED FAST
Product name G930F
Current binary Samsung official
Sytem status official
FRP Lock Off
Secure Download enabled
Warranty void 0
RP SW Rev R:1 K:0 S:0
I'm uisng twrp -3.1.1-0-herolte.img.tar wich goes in Odins's AP (Always followed tuto's...)
Hit START and everything goes well..
tel recognized, flashing progresses nicely, got PASS...and nothing more happenrs
It stays for ever in DL mode, phone almost dead !!!
After having waited 30 minutes, I disconnected the phone and had to push the power button for another minute before the phone accaepts to shut down.
I I try ot reboot in recovery, I'm getting the original recovery andnot TWRP.
If a reboot the phone, it comes to life again and works as usual
Absolutely no idea about what is preventing TWRP to get installed...
Any idea more than welcome
All the best
Try this.

You already did by enabling OEM Unlock
What did you think OEM unlock was for, and why did you enable it if you didn't know it was to unlock the bootloader?
Read through this thread

thks again
i've already read this thread but...
i'm always stuck after the TWRP odin step.
I've seen RECOVERY ( beeing written I think..)
I'm getting a nice PASS ( in green) but the phone stays with this Downloading Do not turn off target screen for ever
Power + Up or Down + Center button all frozen
and of course, no access to TWRP
Don't know what it is expecting or what blocks the process
Weird !!!
And if the problem was not there ?
I have noted something strange with the fastboof command
Fastbot reboot bootloader does not do what it is supposed to do (AFAIK..lol).
It reboots the phone instead of going to the DL mode !!!
You have to hold --power --- volume down --home button down after flashing TWRP. Then when the screen blanks switch to volume up, home and power.

THks...but I know that...and have already done it zillion of times
but the problem was that the screen NEVER blanks and stays On for ever
Finally, I've been able to tame the beast..and discovered that a partition couldn't be mounted !!!
( and this with a phone havind the stock S/W..)
I erased evetything, format everyting, reinstalled the latest firm, then root the phone and now it is working great again
Glad to hear you got it.

phone not booting, charging, doing anything

So I had a rooted samsung galaxy s8+ with magisk on android noughat and I wanted to update it to oreo, so I updated it using Samsung Switch, but then my apps started to crash a lot and it seemed like it wasnt rooted anymore (all my root apps were not working and event magisk was saying that it was not rooted). So I made a factory reset, run TWRP and tried to run the magisk root again, but then i got a bootloop. After that i tried to run firmware which i found on pangu.in in odin (I basically just followed this video "How to Fix Boot Loop || Stuck on Samsung logo S8 plus Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus review" on YT) and than it frosed in samsung loading screen for about 15min and after that i hard reseted it and since than the phone is completly not doing anything. Is there any solution to this, or i just completly destroyed my phone? I tryied every possible key combinations, but neither of them is doing anything.
Have you tried holding Power + Volume Down for 10-15 (maybe more) seconds? simulates a battery removal. Worked for me when phone seemed unresponsive.

Yes. I tried every combination I know.
power + vol down
power + vol down + bixby
power + vol up + bixby
If there is any other combiantion that could work, i would be really thankful for it.

Yes I have, how can that be done?
Btw. I realy dont know how, but few minutes ago I just randomly tried to turn it on and I managed to get into download mode (after about 1000 tries). Unfortunatelly the phone turned off again before I managed to ge to the computer and run Odin. But I might keep trying to boot it into download mode and this time be prepared to put a new firmware into it.

Sorry missed you can't get into recovery.
So I somehow managed to get into download mode and i wanted to flash new firmware, but it got stuck on sboot.bin.lz4 (apparently it was bcs of outdated odin), so i restarted it and since than everytime I try to charge it, it shows loading screen and I still cant do anything (go to recovery mode or download mode). When I unplug the charger it again turns off and I still cant do anything. This is really weird.
It would seem like your phone needs charging, low charge would seem consistent with it switching off when charger not connected.
Suggest leaving on charge for 60 to 90 minutes then try previously given advice.
Get latest Odin from XDA and official software from Sammobile

Hey,
I have the same problem with the bootloop and the corrupted locking screen. I'm able to boot into download mode, but I can't figure out which system to flash. I tried several ones, but none of them worked... and I can't get back to the factory recovery. If somebody has an idea which recovery system could work I would be very pleased to know.
