I'm on almost same status (I've problem with selinux and I need to fix media_profiles)
I think, the fix will be a hard work... Because: we're using prebuilt audio which is not working on M... We're using prebuilt libsensorservice.so which is not working too on M
Yes, we could solve ril (I think, we need a wrapper to old libril-qc-qmi-1.so), and the rest of things, but we need to focus on working audio and libsensorservice.so even if it's on 5.1.1

About libsensorservice.so, I think we can do something like how it is done in yureka, can't we ?
Writing a wrapper above it is another way to deal with it.

hello guys, great job @omerjerk since we have quite a few issues, we can all collabrate together @ one place n fix these issues asap ! so i have pushed our tree to my rom's git here https://github.com/Infinitive-OS/device_xiaomi_ferrari so that we can use our gerrit link and work on fixes together.. sign up on gerrit if ur interested and push them fixes and yes we do have our own git's and mi4i-dev git ,, but i think with gerrit we can work together better ! let me know @dh.harald @omerjerk and @Men_in_black007 also kar l knows about the gerrit too , im hoping everyone will join

We can have pull request base mechanism of merging code.

Ya ya like I said we do have that.. But everyone can work on a single patch.. I'm not discarding mi4i-dev git .. I'm saying until we fix these issues , we can use gerrit.. Everything wil finally ofc be pushed to mi4i deb git..

Believe me when I say that I'm putting all my efforts to get RIL working at this time.
I've no idea how much have other devs progressed.

I tried replacing libril-qc-qmi-1.so from yureka vendor tree and also from r7plus vendor tree. Both of them are not able create the socket /dev/socket/qmux_radio/rild_oem0.
Did you try something else ?
Also, I can code in C++ if someone can tell me how to write a wrapper or an example where it's already done for some other device.

The great thing about this rom, snap camera is working perfectly even the video mode works fine, the bug found is the lock screen is not working and couple of SOD well it still in early stage..cant wait for this rom to be more stable :good::good:

to be honest i do a dirty flash from CM13,
am not getting any problem of lock screen
but it probably bcuz the source code have a problem
let me look into it again ....

1. Some issues with lock screen
2. Notification panel is not dropping down,has to restart to access the toggles.

I am having problem in removing System app.
i tried Link2SD and System app remover with magisk,again with supersu....but problem contiues....i have attached the error message.
I had this prob when i swiped Carbon rom.
after i swiped Rremix there was no problem.
Now i swiped Omni but this problem.
please help me,this is good rom and want to use daily.

Almost any Custom Rom have the same issue, camcorder. Some have dark video/image, others even Not record. MIUI camera app has solved part of that issues but its not perfect (HDR not working or work with decolored image)... My Question, have this Rom this trouble/bugs too? Its the only Reason couse I back to MIUI again....

Due to strict sepolicy you can't do it. If you want to remove any system app use root explorer or use twrp file manager to delete them It's not issue, its more security for you guys

1. Any plan to apply official tag?
2. Is krak vulnerability solved?

Moto Mods are not supported​
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Not Working/Bugs
I'm not aware of anything not working, but this is still pretty fresh, so no guarantees!
Installation
Make sure you have at least a nougat bootloader and modem else TWRP denies the installation by throwing a message about the wrong bootloader. I recommend bootloader and modem from OPN27.76-12-22. Further details and a guide to upgrade what you need without losing data here.
Requires unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery
Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD
Reboot in Bootloader Mode
Go to "Recovery" (Vol +/Vol -) and confirm (power)
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Dalvik cache
Install the ROM zip
Install su for root (get it here, you have to enable it from developer settings) [optional]
DO NOT REBOOT
Install the Gapps zip (OpenGapps works fine for me)
(Correct variant for both Gapps and su is arm for 8.1/15.1)
Reboot
Migrating to the signed build
To migrate to the newer signed builds, you will need to run a migration script once (or wipe your data).

Yes, I'm working on that, but it's a slow process apparently.
Also, I'm not sure why this thread exists twice now. I got an Error 500 posting it the first time, but it seems like parts of it still made it through.

Definitely not impossible from the looks of it, but I'm not in possession of any Mods I could potentially test with, so support won't come from me for the time being.

Isn't moto mods support at least enabled in official LOS 14.1.?

After magizk manger install, phone restart time vendor image mismatch warning shows, how can it fix?

Because the official ROM is 32 bit, so by keeping it that way I can keep using the official proprietary files and (for the most part) don't need to go collect them from other devices.
Lowers the maintenance burden considerably, specially as long as Motorola still supports this device.

I don't think so. At least I don't see any traces of it in the 14.1 device tree.

Do you know if VoLTE works in Germany with Telekom.De with this Rom? With albertos aosp it dont work for me.

I would generally expect it to work, but can't promise anything since I'm with Congstar and they don't support it.

Yes, the Kernel-Side support is there, but the actual userspace side of things never got merged.

If it is a random reboot, grab kmsg/dmesg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

Pretty lean but really stable used for few hours... Cant use for long as few stuffs were missing like call recording, customization options, and multiple QS.

I guess you meant its stuck at fastboot mode.
Please install latest twrp version available. https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomiredminote5pro.html
Then try to install the rom it will work.

I had been using liquid remix as my daily driver since i unlocked the bootloader of my phone, really a fan of u bhai, make it like LR, with all customisations, until then will stay on LR, really glad to have u back ?

Absolutely sorry guys. Was extremely busy these days and could not get time to upload this. We are finally going official. Check the OP for download link and here for changelog.
Another good news. @Rashedsahaji will be co maintaining this ROM along with me so that like this month when i was busy the builds aren't going to stop. Infact this build is compiled by him and @Being_Zeeshan had tested since i was extremely busy. With the addition of both of them I can see regular updates being a thing!!
