Hi all.. anyone knows which app i can use to move the applications from internal to sd all together...
Such a pain to check if every other app supports the sd move or not...
If there is another thread, pls give the link.. will remove this one..
-S7 flat
- unrooted

I don't think there is a way to do it without root permission. You have to move one by one, using android app settings.

Open up settings, scroll down to applications, click application manager then select an app. It will say storage and you click on that and the next screen will say internal and change underneath it. Not all apps can be moved though. Most apps cannot be moved to SD card for some reason.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd
This app directly shows a list of movable apps.
But, the function will move them to your internal sdcard not to the real sdcard. So you wouldn't get any free storage unless you do the adoptable storage thing through shell and migrate the internal sdcard data to the adoptable storage.
Edit: I guess you could move them to the external too. Didn't know that.

there are some apps which can't easily be moved via android built-in menu.
for this special case you need to install link2sd or gemini app manager.
error

Hi all XDA Folk...
I am wondering if there is a easy way to use the sd card as storage, I know you cant use the old app2sd applications you get from the market and you can use directory bind to do something similar.....but is there an easy way or better way to do it?
I found this post and wondering if this would work on the tab 7.7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668247
Please could someone shed some light on this, thank you
I used directory bind once and it was not clear, moved the files and all and got a message when opening games....(Download data) so the data had not moved correctly or I could be doing something wrong.
Thanks Again!
and what purpose would it serve? This isn't like the HTC hero/magic (or some pre 1ghz) devices anymore
I want to know also if there is a method to move apps to sd, my 16gb p6800 soon to running out of internal space.

Sad to say you cant... If you go to settings>applications>manage application>click on one of the apps you want to move on the sd card ull notice only 3 options... Force stop, uninstall, clear data... No option for Move to phone/sd card. Why? As far as I know for a certain apps to function you need to keep it stored in the tabs internal memory and not on the sd card just to save space... Try installing games thats requiring you to download additional sd data like nova 3 after downloading the game data try to move it on the sd card and launch the app again and itll ask you to download the sd data again..
Hope this help..
P.s. Correct me if im mistaken..
Apparently app2sd doesn't work on our tablet, I am using link2sd instead.
Is there any app that can move installed apps into memory card(extSdCard)? I tried appmgr III and Links2SD but they dont work.I want more free space in internal memory

1) wrong thread
2)many apps comes with an option to b transferred to ext sd card, whereas some don't ... It completely depends on developer..
Incase u r not rooted,u can only shift those apps to extsd which comes with an option to do so(also note that widgets won't work if app is installed on extsd),to do so go to settings - app manager - on sd card, then check all the apps that don't have a tick next to them, they can be moved
incase u r rooted,u can force any app to sd card, try force2sd or similar app from play store

Don't bother forcing apps to SD just use folder mount and mount the data/odd folder to the SD card keeps apk where it should be and moves large files to SD card mounting the folder to it's original position works well bit slow for me as I'm on an older 32gb memory card I'm upgrading to the sandisk extreme plus 64gb card ordering tomorrow anyway my point being internal SD quick standard SD slow make sure you have a fast enough card or you will get long loading times and possible lag
S4 GT-I9505 Cm11
Is this still possible? If so, how do I do this? Preferably solutions without routing but any solution is welcome
For context I'm running Android Nougat (7.0) and this issue is regarding my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. As you're probably aware, the S6 doesn't have an SD card slot so I have to attach an adapter to use an SD card. This means that setting the SD card as internal storage would be a problem since I can't keep the adapter attached all the time, and if I unplug it part of my phones functionality would be affected, since it'll be formatted so my phone always expects it to be present (unless I'm mistaken). This also means that the solution of splitting the SD card into part portable and part internal wouldn't work either.
If you're wondering why I need an SD card its because I've run out of room for apps, I currently have no photos or music that isn't in the cloud so cleaning my phone out to make room isn't much of an option either.
If you need anything clarifying, just ask.
Moving apps to external SD Card
Google took a step backwards with this in the new update. Here's how you move apps from internal storage to your micro sd card:
1. Go to settings/applications/app manager and select an app you wish to move.
2. Select "Storage." Notice that the current storage location is provided. If the app is able to be moved to your micro sd card, there will be a "Change" option. If the app cannot be moved, thus field will not appear.
3. Change the location from Internal to SD Card.
4. Tap on "Move."
I have no idea why Google made this change, because it added more steps to this process than necessary, not to mention that it's a little harder to find on your own.

No, he described the normal "move to SD card" method, not the adoptable storage method, I think?

But on my phone, Android 7.0, there is not "Change" or "Move to SD Card" option for any installed apps.

I doubted it would have it, nougat should have the adoptable storage option, not the "move to SD" option. That doesn't do you any good.
I'm not sure that you can even do what you're trying to do without leaving the sd inserted.

As far as I know, in newer android versions you can only move apps to adoptable storage.
What you want might be possible with root and a dedicated App2SD app. Without root this is not possible.

If you do what was suggested above, you won't be able to remove the sd card because the device won't function properly with it removed. You'll get an endless chain of FC's(app has stopped working) that will make your device uncontrollable because it keeps popping up with FC notifications. You won't be able to navigate the device because the notifications will continously pop up one after the other.

While this is true, I think it should work for apps that don't start automatically. As long as the particular app isn't used it won't bother, I guess.

Yes, depending on the app. Then again, Google play services update checks for the installed apps might get a little screwy when the card is removed. Only one way to find out, try and hope it works.

I imagine ROOT privileges are needed..right?
Any way to move something to the external sd-card so to increase internal sd-card space?
Not spelling about the camera storage folder, but to some substantial app stuff..
Thanks!

I think it's obvious that an app called "Root Essentials" needs root permissions lol.
I don't use anymore external sd's in my S8 but in S5 I used to go in App Settings in Settings app and move the apps I wanted to SD Card

That was something ironic I was saying
About moving to sd-card some apps, does it really give more space to internal sd-card?
What I mean...does it completely move the app, or just copy the app to external sd-card and then start using it from that destination, leaving in the internal sd-card some corpse of the old app destination?
A good explanation in "how moving to external sd-card works in details" would be appreciated
Thanks!

IN FACT IT HELP YOU TO CONVERT YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE TO >> SYSTEM STORAGE AND YOUR SD-CARD TO>> INTERNAL STORAGE BUT be aware that your phone will become slower after installing more than 10 apps ...
in my case after converting my 128Go SD-card into internal storage, 32go became invisible ( converted to system storage) and when i check storage size i only see 128go ( using setting or ES explorer)...
now im using Sd card only as external ( for photos + games data) and 32go for apps they are more faster and reactive ... finnally i dont recommand You to anable adoptable storage . bad idea

Yes, I've spoke with some guys at a shop and it's a bad idea.
Regarding cleaning the internal memory once it's full...only way are constant wipe-to-factory??
In case, any strong and effective way to backup apps with their data??
Thanks!

It doesn't seam to work for me for backing up app data.
Helium works, but dunno if still works on last Android. Was able to do it from Galazy S7 to S8 with Nougat. Never tried with Oreo.

I have tried it on S7 and S8 with Nougat and it worked.
Actually I have Oreo now on my actual S8 and I tried one but with no connection success, but I might have some Samsung drivers problems as I remember happening the same with Nougat at the beginning.
Do you know if with Oreo should still work??
