I have an S4 SGH-I337 I'm trying to fix for a friend. It's stuck in a boot loop, but I'm still able to get into "Recovery Mode" and "Download Mode". The phone is not "USB Debugging" enabled, and is bootloader locked ATT... I assume. Owner says its still stock and he didn't try to flash or unlock it in any way. I've installed Odin v.3.10.7 and tried to flash a stock ROM from Sammobile.com, but got the message : Failed (Auth). When I tried another ROM I found on a blog about fixing a soft-bricked s4, I was able to get a PASS on Odin. I rebooted into recovery and cleared cache/factory reset after it finished but still have a bootloop. I tried adding a PIT file to the process and still bootloop. Why doesn't the ROM from samobile.com work if it's a stock ROM? Are there any other files I can flash like a new bootloader or whatever, or just the two I tried? Is it possible the hardware is fried? I'm not ready to give up yet.

Recently rooted my gs3 and was freezing some apps with Rom Toolbox.
Do not have a list of them all.
Phone now boots the "Samsung Custom" page and then hangs on "Samsung Galaxy III" page.
I can boot to dl and factory recovery page.
I have wiped cache/data factory reset.
I have tried to reflash the stock rom via Odin from the download mode and the sd card from recovery mode.
With Odin I get a "Failed" message and with the sd card it says "signature failed".
Not sure where to go next and any help is greatly appreciated!!

Did you flash a custom recovery after you rooted? Did you unlock the bootloader? Have you tried to flash a custom rom?
I would suggest Following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762709 this guide. Section 5 to use odin to flash a stock image. You said you could get into odin/download mode then with the proper factory image and setup, you should be able flash back to K3 or G1 image.

I stupidly did not flash a recovery. I do not think the bootloader is unlocked, not sure how to do that?
Have tried to flash the stock rom and a custom rooted stock rom.
I have spent the better part of 2 days using the search feature and trying things. I'm a newb tho.
Thanks for any more ideas.
Use section 5 of the guide I linked for you to restore via Odin the stock factory rom.
Then search through the stickys for guides on root/unlock boot-loader/custom recoveries. read them twice and if you still aren't sure ask questions. Plenty of friendly folks to help you. I would hate to see you brick your phone trying to flash a custom rom with a locked boot-loader. Most roms require an unlocked boot-loader. You will need a custom recovery to flash roms and make nandroids/backups. the recovery's will be CWM or TWRP. Make sure you use Odin right or you could have a paperweight. Make sure you download the proper factory image to use in Odin.
When all is done properly there is little risk. Good Luck!
I used this guide when I made the mistake of installing a custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader XD. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114
Hope this helps!

So i recently switched to a new rom from my previous rooted one. Unfortunatly, i forgot to enable developer debugging or oem unlock in developer options before i restarted, so now my phone is in a boot loop. It wont go into recovery mode, or boot into the system. I can only go into download mode. My knox is tripped, and it shows frp lock. So far i tried flashing the stock 5.1.1 firmware using odin, and it fails on nand write. Tried flashing a new bl and cp, but frp blocks it. What can i do to fix this!?
Right, model of my phone is SM-G920T
EDIT: Seems to be when i was trying to flash the original firmware, i got an old one, F6, when the correct one is F8. Went through with odin and seems like everything is back on track!
Flash this updated stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin to overcome your woes:

I tried rooting my note 5 sprint but got stuck in a bootloop but was able to flash the marshmalllow stock rom back on the phone. I am stuck in a bootloop again except this time odin is not responding to the stock rom. I tried odin 3.10 and 3.09 with the same result. I tried different usb ports and nothing. I can't even get the file for the stock rom to show up in the AP box. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also, can I flash lollipop back on to the phone instead of marshmallow? Thanks.

So you are able to boot back into download mode? How about boot to recovery?
I have the same problem. I have a sprint galaxy note 5 with android 6.0.1 installed. While trying to perform a root using twrp, I completely wiped everything out. Is there any way I can go back to the stock rom from here? I can still use odin and and I have finally mananged to put the stock recovery back on by using either "CF-Auto-Root-nobleltespr-nobleltespr-smn920p" md5 file or "N920PVPU1AOGD_N920PSPT1AOGD_SPR----STOCK+TARBALL" md5 file. But from here Im at a dead end. I tried to do a "wipe data/factory reset" from the factory recovery but receive an error msg stating "dm-verity verification failed." Please help. Thanks
Also it appears when I press and hold only the power button, it takes me to the factory recovery screen.
Flashed TWRP so I could root my device with Magisk, but after flashing TWRP the file for Magisk was missing, tried to boot into the phone and it was stuck in boot loop. I Checked all the threads I could and tried to Flash my stock firmware via ODIN
But that doesn't work, the Log in Odin just says "File Analysis" and then doesn't go any further. Nothing happens.
Yes I had enable OEM Unblock, so I'm even more confused why this has gone wrong.
Any one have a solution? I've looked through many threads and found nothing that works

Maybe your files are corrupted.
