[Q] Need userdata.img from B133 rom to fix theme - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Trying to restore my mate 8 to full stock but the themes aint working. So i found out flashing the userdata.img from B133 rom could fix this.
I have the full update package but theres no userdata, img in it. How do i extract this ?
If someone could provide me the file that would be even better.
Thanks
EDIT
Found the file, grab it here.

Hi zat0x,
use Huawei Update Extractor to extract data.img and flash it with fastboot.

either that or search for the thread on how to flash international firmware on the chinese AL10, the OP contains the individual B133 parts including the userdata.img in a zip
Sent from my Huawei Mate 8 NXT-AL10 using Tapatalk

Found it. If anyone is still looking for the file i added a link in the first post

Flash stock recovery of the firmware you were on (you need to remember which) and then install full firmware through dload

@hackslash can you assist him?!
@AkramRonald
There are 2 ways to solve this.
1. If you have the EMUI 5 update.app available, then extract Recovery2 from the .app file and flash it to the recovery2 partition using Fastboot.
You should not flash EMUI 5 packages through dload. You should flash a downgrade package first then the EMUI 4.1 package.
2. Tell me your model number and I'll give you a link to the firmware which you can easily flash via TWRP.

Excellent.
Those files must have been inside a zip file.
Simply install TWRP and flash those both zip files.
Then install recovery2 and perform a factory reset.

Flash the zip files using TWRP. Do not extract and flash. Install zip file only.

Mu bootloader is unlocked and have twrp... Now im getting ota uodate but cant do it because of twrp... How the hell can i restore my stock recovery and remove twrp...? I keep reading forum but cant find answer... Its l29c432b185 version...
Will funky huawei restore everything or use another free method? Thanx!

Extract recovery.img from update.app using Huawei Update extractor.
Get your firmware update.zip from: http://hwmt.ru/hwmtsite/firmware-database/?firmware_model=MHA-L29C432&firmware_page=0
Extract zip, open up update.app in Huawei Update Extractor: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
Rightclick on RECOVERY and click on Extract Selected.
Flash RECOVERY.img using fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
You're now on stock recovery and will be able to flash OTA.
Though, flashing OTA will lock your bootloader again, so you'll have to unlock it again. (if you want to)
And if you modified /system, /product or /vendor it will fail to install.
For a free alternative, if it should fail, use https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
THANX ALOT MAN...IT WORKS! That extractor is a great thing!

If this is a full firmware when you will extract it you will find a dload folder in this there will be update.app just copy dload folder to SD and start flashing with three buttons.
If this is a ota file you just need to put whole update.zip in dload folder and start flashing....

After you flashed the full firmware (after the rollback you did already), you will be back on Stock 6.0 and you will get updates to 7.0.

Stock firmware

Hello,
I have Honor 8 frd-l09, that was running c432 b521 version of EMUI 8.0. I want to go back to stock but i do not know which files should i download. On pro-teammt website are many donwload link for my model:
... update.zip
... update_full_FRD-L02_hw_eu.zip
... update_full_FRD-L19_hw_eu.zip
... update_data_full_public.zip
... update_full_FRD-L09_hw_eu.zip
Those are all the links when i click "filelist". It is obvious that i do not need to download FRD-L02 and FRD-L19, because i have FRD-L09. Should i download just that one or do i also need "update.zip" and "update_data_full_public.zip"?
Thanks for the answers.

You need update and update_data too
Anyway I suggest to you to use eRecovery, but that will take you to Android 7 and lock back your bootloader

I downloaded all of them, but i do not know what should i do with them. "update.zip" constains "UPDATE.APP" and also "update_full_FRD-L09_hw_eu-zip" constains UPDATE.APP. I looked at some tutorials and they just put "UPDATE.APP" in the dload and flash it. I have 3 zips and 2 "update.app" files.
Could you help me get to stock and describe what i need to do.
THANKS A LOT!

The problem with huru is that i do not have TWRP recovery, because i am running OpenKirin rom. I wanted to flash twrp but it did not work and now i do not have a recovery. When i boot into recovery i just get Func NO : 11 (reovery image), Error NO : 2 (load failed!).
What could i do?
Thanks for helping me
Hi, you can safely use your erecovery as it will download the stock b562 Oreo firmware. It won't relock your bootloader because you are already on Oreo. It used to lock it when you went back from Oreo to nougat. You can trust me as I have used this method quite a bit of times to save my half bricked phone
