[Help] [H6L04] European device with Indian b810 firwmware, how to downgrade safely - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I dont know if I can safely downgrade now... I cant disable my lockscreen no matter what I do so I guess b810 has this bug or im just unlucky...
This guide
[GUIDE] Back to Stock ROM (the sure method) has a bunch of people mentioning bootloops amongst other problems and Im worried.
Does it matter that I have a European model with Indian firmware?
Im sorry if this question is stupid but ive searched through the forums and cant find what im looking for...
Also, anyone have a suggestion of what is currently the best ROM to use? Both official and unofficial?
Thanks for your time reading this

Im sorry, may I bump this up? I'd really like to downgrade

Not sure that it works, but have you tried the official downgrade packet for Honor 6 European on www.hihonor.com ?

Update to Lollipop/MM

Hi,
I have a mate7 gold (32gb 2 sim) and I want to update to lollipop or marshmallow but I am not sure how to start. I have read several threads and seen how this is done but I have a version that isnt common or something, so I wanted to know if I have to go to another version of KK before going up? I have MT7-TL10 V100R001C00B124. I havent been able to find much useful on that version and so am not sure if I should go to another prior to the update. In the about section -> Certification it says Serbia, I dont know if that helps or affects anything
Cheers!

Hi,
It's better to wait for official MM OTA update which is to release soon...but if you are going to test MM beta version, you can find it in the below link:

Hi, thanks a lot that sounds good, I've waited a while so a little longer won't harm me.
By the way I wasn't able to open the link you sent, I think it didn't paste properly.
Thanks again

In desperate need of a European or International Rom.

Hi all. After days of searching and reading all posts I still didn't find what I need.
I own a NTX-AL10 Chinese phone and like to make it European or International.
So I need the proper image files to flash with adb fastboot or a complete zip to flash with TWRP. An European or International recovery will also be very helpful. For now it shows as a Next model with NTX-C900B170. So maybe the international NXT-AL10 recovery will do? Please, any help would be very appreciated because I am in fact a newbie.
as far as i can see ure already on the international B170 firmware so....what else do u need?
if ure planning to make your AL10 completely into an L29 model including automatic ota updates etc u can forget about that for the time being. there are some efforts going on to reprogram specific models into different ones, but none of them successful thus far. so for now ure stuck with manually crossflashing firmwares

On this rom the phone freeze now and than. But it's the only I'm able to find. So I need a (Preferred NTX-AL10) C432 or C900 rom with proper recovery. It's already rooted and with twrp. I wouldn't mind to go to a stock rom as long as is it one of the above mentioned and I can use ota updates.

I am satisfied with staying AL10 but now it's reporting as "model NEXT Build NXT-C900B170" ,also in HISUITE and the phone freeses every now and then.
What can I do?
Please educate me.
hm thats strange. the most current AL10 firmware is B168 with an OTA update available for B172. u can also try and install any one of the four custom roms available in the dev section

I just flashed this B168 rom of the same developer and I think that did the trick.
It seems it solved my problems.
Thanks for all your help.

Huawei ascend mate 7 update, what to do?

Hello guys, I just want to get help with updating my MT7-L09C900B324 TO marshmallow I've noticed that this is a difficult procedure most of all because of the firmwares. Thats why I thought it might be great to gather the best firmwares.. And help people that are in the same situation... Cheers
That is difficult as it depends on whether it's Chinese firmware or international, whether or not it has dual SIM and what region the existing firmware is for. So many combinations.
IMO, only use an update or ROM that has an included pdf stating what versions it can update. Check this against what is installed. Many people brick through haste and ignorance.
You also need stock recovery to do it. Bootloader can be locked or unlocked for OTA or update. I prefer to unroot too, if just an OTA update. I also think it safest to wipe cache and dalvik. Start fresh.

Updating huawei ascend mate 7 to marshmallow
As far as I know it's the Malaysian firmware, I update it manually seems it was taking too long for the Ota to arrive. Of course, from kitkat to lollipop. Now, the Ota supposed to be kicking in but I got nothing.. Do you think it has something to do with the firmware that I have? I thought it was because of that, and believe if I don't change it, will never work

HWOTA stuck on press enter to continue and second method didnt work because i live in Turkey.

Might be best, to WAIT until it comes to you in the official channel, since you don't know much.
No offense, but you can brick your phone, if you don't know what you are doing.

How to go to OpenKirin

Hi everyone,
I m a little confuse and when I say a little, I mean a lot, about the way to go from a L29C432B582, unlocked bootloader to a ROM with EMUI 8 to Openkirin. I read than oreo isn't available for L29, so have I to flash a Chinese ROM, or something ? Some help could be great. And why not make of this tread an how to for all firmware versions to go to openkirin, but I can figurate this just by myself. Does anyone know my path ? And could you please explain the way you have proceed to go to OpenKirin, or even and other Oreo Rom, from where you come to where you are now. With link to the thread and files you had use, lot of link seems dead. It could be really helpfull for a lot of us.
I will still try to find a way by myself and update this thread, but any help would be really appreciate.
I had think in a first place I had to go to a stock rom, for reach the official update, but if I can't have the EMUI 8 for L29C432 it will be a dead end.
Best regards
You will have to debrand your phone to the chinese version of mate 8 in order to update your phone to oreo. You have the thread with all the instructions in the forum. If you dont do this, you wont be able to flash any open kirin roms.
This is the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/discussion-oreo-huawei-mate-8-t3785320
